Thanks! I've sort of been hoping for a big buffalo to show up, but I haven't seen one all winter, surprisingly. Glad to be catching fish in February though!
usually hard to catch fish in the middle of the winter. maybe catch a few with bait sitting on the bottom. the fish are lethargic in cold water. if you have suckers there put half a night crawler with #4 hook sitting on the bottom. usually starts about march 20 in southern michigan. so iowa should be about the same time. good luck with your fishing.
They actually really are pretty cool! Yeah I've only caught them while fishing for other species, but they do go after small fish as well as being good at getting in the way. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
That spot at that time of the year youll catch a lot of big carp there. It's a spot i take my daughter to late fall early spring. There's a few more good spots up river also. Ever need any insight for this section just give me a hauler sir be glad to help point you in some directions.
Sweet video, thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Nice video. Carp and Buffalo seems what I’ve been ending up with. Nice smallie.

Fun video. Keep finding those fish.
I appreciate you watching! I hope to keep finding them, although it can be frustratingly tough this time of year.
Always nice when it pays out!
Yeah I struggled all day and then found a good spot. Thanks!

Nice to get rewarded with a good one after sticking it out for awhile!
Yeah I was beginning to lose hope but was fortunate to get that Smallie! Thanks for watching!
Hey, I'd love to catch a carpsucker or a quillback. They're cool, and kinda hard to actually target. Cool to see someone exploring our rivers.

Thanks for the information! If I'm ever heading in that direction again I may do that, I appreciate it!
I almost forgot to like your video!!! I watched it last night😅.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the like! I appreciate it!
Where at in Northeast Iowa?
It's actually the maquoketa river, more in east Iowa I guess
Where was first location?
@@KaisFishing ohhh I meant the spot you were fishing at the whole video
It was just a ways down river from there
Why do you throw junk fish back in. Carp get left on the bank when I catch em
I know a lot of people do throw them on the bank, I just like letting them live if I don't have any use for them
🐟😮👍
