Japan appears to be the only place in the world where the food looks like it does on the menu.
I was thinking the same thing. They show the burgers with big buns in the commercials and when you buy it it's all flat and soggy because they put a glob of ketchup! Not the little swirly but a GLOB!

in the commercials and ads a food artist creates the burger to look as good as possible by making the side being shown look full and perfectly garnished. The process can take up to an hour until the artist is satisfied. If fast food joints had the time to make them look as good as the ads they would not really be fast food would they?

There are lots of different types of ASMR videos. I also don't like the talking ones, so I search for the silent ones and study listening to them. But I can't help feeling too much sleepy to study.

fast food in the states is much more about speed, while in japan they take more time to make things look nice. theyre not lazy, just trying to get things out as soon as possible. workers get in trouble if theyre not fast enough :u

Depends which one you go to... 20 minutes apart a different manager can make all the difference. I mean, it'll still plastic but at least it looks nicer.

Some countries don't let big corporations like McDonald's dictate how they're going to serve food to the people. The country has standards and makes the company abide by them or get the hell out of their country. Saudi Arabia has AMAZING McDonald's that's made with meat from Saudi Arabia, which means the animals were treated well, slaughtered correctly, and the food is handled well. I'm glad there are countries still looking out for their people.
Hmmm...I noticed some people saying that food in their country looked like crap. And they were wondering why. It all comes down to how their food is manufactured and prepared. So, in response to your seemingly upset question, my comment relates to those comments made by others. I'm not leaving hate on this channel, I am simply expressing that it's obvious that some countries take part in their citizen's health and/or safety by watching how food is processed. Now chill out, I can express my opinion with other if I wish.

Here it depends which you go to. At some it does actually look decent. 20 minutes and a different manager makes all the difference.
You could say we value time more. The employees make it hastily because the customers want it quickly. It is fast food after all, its not known for being top quality. And as some would say, time is money.
U should see how the Brits put it all together.the way we do it (in Britain) u would swear everything come separate, not in the burger, but sprawled inside the box!!! Sorry about the rant but ta know
I went to a McDonalds in Japan once and it's very different from an American one. Much nicer/cleaner. The sizes are smaller, also.
So does that mean that in America, they have fries that are bigger than the one in this video? Because it looked really big, and I can't imagine having a portion any bigger than that!

That makes sense to make the drinks smaller. The drinks in fast food places here can get absolutely ridiculous (like, you seriously don't need that much).
E. Healy Actually , the fries that he showed is LL(XL) size, it was just a limited version. I've never been in US that's why I don't know if they are bigger or not :)

I think it's easier for Japan to make better quality fast food that actually looks like the ads. We end up picking quantity and quickness over quality because how big America is and how many people eat fast food in comparison. That and/or it's cheaper to use low quality methods and ingredients. I am so jealous.

Reading the comments and feeling really weirded out by wistfulness over Japan's McDonalds'. It's funny cause you'd think that since McDonald's originates from America, that the quality there would be awesome or something! Went to Japan once, and the burgers are like those in Singapore (where I come from). McDonald's is seriously yummy and sinful! Are the prices cheaper in the US?

It's because the Japanese one is fried. The ones in the US used to be fried many years ago, but they stopped doing that.
