The people in charge of picking the music for this show always did such a fantastic job with choosing the music for scenes like this. A lot of shows out there end up picking songs that don't quite fit, or project the emotions that they were supposed to, but I feel like The Magicians always nailed it. This scene, where they're flying to blackspire on the Muntjac is haunting, in large part because the song choosen and paired with the imagery project that kind of feeling. Such a great show.
The imagery looks like something from a Yes album cover.
They really made good use of their SFX budget.
