As per me ...Well water might have been accessed by people, hence their could have been a slight possibility that people who draws water from the well, could be unintentionally bringing the spirts into their houses....hence pandit ji decided to remove water and pack the well..... death of pandit ji....As per my knowledge spirit of children is very powerful but very unpredictable hence....The old man used the power of children to draw strength and took the life of pandit ji as revenge

@@sardarji162 Once I slept watching sir's video.. Then I woke up abruptly correct midnight.. I was feeling very uneasy.. I was getting a strong feeling of someone watching me from the corner in my room when there was no one in there.. I couldn't sleep for hours because of that feeling.. After that i stopped watching horror things at night.. I don't know if it was just a feeling or something was really there.. But it was horrific and terrifying enough..
