As per me ...Well water might have been accessed by people, hence their could have been a slight possibility that people who draws water from the well, could be unintentionally bringing the spirts into their houses....hence pandit ji decided to remove water and pack the well..... death of pandit ji....As per my knowledge spirit of children is very powerful but very unpredictable hence....The old man used the power of children to draw strength and took the life of pandit ji as revenge
