Adorable Ostrich Chick

In honor of #WorldOstrichDay, we’re sharing some egg-citing news! 🥚🎉
Because of our Zookeeper staff’s hard work and dedication, an Ostrich chick has hatched at the Toledo Zoo!
The hatch of this Ostrich chick is a rare occurrence for AZA Zoos, and this is a first ever hatch at the Toledo Zoo and the first successful hatch at an AZA zoo in the last 5 years.
The chick will soon be housed in the Barnyard. Once the chick has grown, guests will be able to find the chick in the Africa! exhibit.
