the best thing about the Otto vs Peter fight is that Peter doesn’t make a single joke. I’m really looking forward to the sequel where Green Goblin will make be a villain. Also hoping to see venom and the venom suit
He was not bad.Norman put the failed neural interface equipment in the box beacause he wanted to make green goblin suit. He also created the other 5 villains.
I love how the final ending scene with Osborne is so telling. It really humanizes him, showing that he’s not just screwing people over and being an asshole for no reason, but because he is doing whatever he can to cure his son. It’s also incredibly ironic that in his pursuit to solve one problem, he turns countless others into problems (Lee, Otto, and eventually his own son). This story is incredibly well written
It's why this game is phenomenal, none of the characters are a black and white matter of purely good or purely evil. Even Peter wants so selfishly to save Aunt May, like anyone would do for a loved one, but he can't let himself do so. Every villain has real motivation, a real cause, real personalities, they aren't just evil for no reason.

Good Game, amazing gameplay, the problem that I had was the way in which the Sinister Six plot was kinda rushed, also some Boss Fights were kinda repetitive, but outside of that everything is almost perfect, best Spiderman Game of the last 10 years...

This game’s ending gave me massive Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man vibes. Ending the entire experience with a death, redefining Spider-Man’s painstaking responsibility at the expense of himself and those he cares about. Insomniac created the greatest superhero game of all time on their first try, and I can’t fucking wait for the sequel.
It just depends on how long they want spider man to last. If they do a sequel they might focus on miles story and play some mission as Peter. All we know is one definite DLC with 3 chapters
Erron Richardson I’m thinking that they will make a trilogy. The second game will definitely focus more on Miles being trained and mentored by Peter, and potentially even becoming his side kick for that one game. In a potential third game, I could see the reigns predominantly being passed over to Miles, while Insomniac starts winding down Peter’s story arc to an inevitable conclusion. Be it, him retiring or even him dying like in the Ultimate comics is a possibility. Either way, Insomniac’s future storyline should follow the completely original course that this one did.

I could see Harry becoming Venom, and then the symbiote bonds with Peter, Peter manages to shake it off, and then it goes to Eddie. Meanwhile, Norman's between a rock and a hard place with Harry on the rampage and too many questions about how this happened, and takes the Tony Stark way out with the Green Goblin, a direct way to try to contain Harry and as a last defense against media exposure of Oscorp's black projects. Meanwhile, Peter is fronting an R&D company with his inheritance from Aunt May while Miles takes the mantle of Spider-Man but is ill-equipped to take on Osborn single-handedly. I see Peter becoming rusty at being Spider-Man but mentoring Miles and providing a place where they can work on improving Miles's suits together as Norman gets more unhinged from the pressures of trying to cure Harry, contain what Harry has become, keeping Oscorp on damage control, and of course, being the mayor. I'm glad MJ had more to do and a bigger part as a hero in her own right. It would be a little cliche for her to get bitten too, but I could see Peter trying to make her more danger-ready.
I cried more during that last conversation between Peter and Otto, honestly. I couldn't tell whether or not Otto kept clinging onto the ulterior motive, and I struggled with the decision just as much as Peter did. It's too bad we don't get any good writing in movies anymore.

Howling Burd19 if some one thinks far from home or any of the mcu spideman movies are better then any other Spider-Man movie they clearly know nothing of the character, Ps for this game’s future what if peter gets married to mj then she ends up getting pregnant(in the last game) and the whole game is about if he should hang up the suit and let miles take over so peter can have the life he deserves, only thing holding him back that he still sees saving others is still his responsibility, and miles would have proved himself by then but is still needs to learn to be on his own, it’s just an interesting story that they could easily set up and since Insomniac proved they won’t one more day this game series having this plot would be a perfect end for Peter’s story, let me know your thoughts on it

The Spider-Man Spider-Man... *ahem* I liked but for a more nostalgia factor, I can see how it's sorta goofy though, The Amazing Spider-Man... I kinda found ugly, namely the villains... especially The Lizard..... Also that Spidey seemed more... of a jerk in some ways. I haven't seen the MCU Spidey to really give an opinion but from what I've seen he is sorta wimpy. Into the Spider-Verse was pretty good, other than that Ultimate Spider-Man, I know that's sorta the point of that universe but everything kinda goes Peter's way there and he is also somewhat a jerk. I think Spectacular and PS4 may have the best incarnations of Spidey on the screen. (I haven't seen any of the other Cartoons nor read the Comics, don't judge.)

This game is by far the best Spider-Man content outside of the comics in my opinion. It has an amazing cinematic feel from the films (taking the best parts of each of the Spider-Man shows and films), adapting the comics in a refreshing, yet satisfying way all while feeling new and exciting. If they made films in the style of this game, it'd be a masterpiece.
I actually cried. It was one of the only few games that made me cry. Aunt May' s death was so sad. I even felt sorry for Otto because he was sick. He just wanted to live a normal life where he can move and walk like a normal person. He was only bad because the robotic arms changed his mood. And I got chills down my spine when I saw Harry was going to become green goblin. I honestly felt a larger connection with spiderman in this game then any other character in the mcu.
I didn't cry for aunt may cuz i didn't feel much for cuz there aren't much scenes with her in the game it felt like aunt may was underdeveloped, had they incorporated more scenes of her making big noticeable impact on the story i would have had cried!

The game really hits on the big reason why. Peter has an insane guilt complex. Literally nothing about any of this was his fault. People make their own decisions. He didn't make Martin Li or Otto do anything. He's got great power, but he could stand to accept a little less responsibility, for the sake of his own mental health. It wouldn't make his desire to do good any less strong.

I honestly felt more sad with the ending to the final battle instead of May’s death with Otto’s desperation and sadness while May died happily and peacefully

Most modern games aren't that hard to beat. Even if some may take multiple hours, they still only require very little focus from the player, thus making a one-sit playthrough quite doable.
Honestly this game is so goddamn well written, easily my favorite spider man story ever, they should adapt this into a movie so a wider audience of people experience this amazing story.

There is a prequel novel out there (Hostile Takeover), and I believe some comics following this Peter Parker in the Spidergeddon comic storyline. Hostile Takeover being more about how Fisk came to be the big crime boss he is in the early game.

They made one PS4 Game have a more interesting story, vastly better Sinister Six set up and more investing characters than Sony did with 2 Multi-million dollar Amazing Spider-Man films. Hats off to you Insomniac.
Lane Maust yeah, but most of those 20 hours are are you playing. The cutscenes as a whole, and the important parts of the game related to the game like dialogue, and all probably equals to about the length of a decent movie, maybe two. Over-all The Amazing Spider-Man had more time in it's two movies almost guaranteed than this game, considering that for most of it you were playing a game, not watching a movie.
I really liked the Amazing Spider-man films, but I do agree that this game is so much better than any of the Spider-man movies to date, especially when focusing on Peter Parker's emotional story.
Well, to play Devil's Advocate, the people making ASM had to deal with Sony's interference, a lot less time to flesh things out, legal boundaries that wouldn't allow them to put a lot of fun easter eggs into the movies.

Yer well I could also name plot holes in this game too, like how does Doc convince these villains so quickly, or that Peter still comments that Doc and Li are still on the loose after the game. Detroit has some flaws, but they defeat the purpose when the game itself is still fun and great in the long run. I would put it in the 2018 game of the years along with the other 3.

Honestly, the bond between Octavius and Peter in this story is just so bittersweet and built/destroyed beautifully. Looking back at Octavius from Spiderman 2, that temporary friendship was only created because Harry controlled Ock's budget, and even then it didn't have much time and build to be a strong impact when it was over. Hell, the movie pointed out a not-so-subtle hint that he WAS going to eventually turn into a madman that "tries to blow up the whole city". In this game, the friendship was built from the start on its own naturally, starting with a poor interview that eventually turned into a strong partnership and finally a heartbreaking turn. We knew that this would be the guy that turned into Doc Ock, but at the same time, we didn't know how. We almost even hoped he wouldn't somehow. Personally, I feel like this game told a better Ock story than most

I love how the final ending scene with Osborne is so telling. It really humanizes him, showing that he’s not just screwing people over and being an asshole for no reason, but because he is doing whatever he can to cure his son. It’s also incredibly ironic that in his pursuit to solve one problem, he turns countless others into problems (Lee, Otto, and eventually his own son). This story is incredibly well written
It's just such a great story. Showing people as... people. Jealous, hateful yet still compassionate and giving
It's why this game is phenomenal, none of the characters are a black and white matter of purely good or purely evil. Even Peter wants so selfishly to save Aunt May, like anyone would do for a loved one, but he can't let himself do so. Every villain has real motivation, a real cause, real personalities, they aren't just evil for no reason.

This game’s ending gave me massive Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man vibes. Ending the entire experience with a death, redefining Spider-Man’s painstaking responsibility at the expense of himself and those he cares about. Insomniac created the greatest superhero game of all time on their first try, and I can’t fucking wait for the sequel.
Well there will be DLC where it will expand the story
It just depends on how long they want spider man to last. If they do a sequel they might focus on miles story and play some mission as Peter. All we know is one definite DLC with 3 chapters
Erron Richardson I’m thinking that they will make a trilogy. The second game will definitely focus more on Miles being trained and mentored by Peter, and potentially even becoming his side kick for that one game. In a potential third game, I could see the reigns predominantly being passed over to Miles, while Insomniac starts winding down Peter’s story arc to an inevitable conclusion. Be it, him retiring or even him dying like in the Ultimate comics is a possibility. Either way, Insomniac’s future storyline should follow the completely original course that this one did.
I bet in the next one you play as miles and do side quests with Peter and Peter will die in the sequel to give miles the spotlight

I could see Harry becoming Venom, and then the symbiote bonds with Peter, Peter manages to shake it off, and then it goes to Eddie.
Meanwhile, Norman's between a rock and a hard place with Harry on the rampage and too many questions about how this happened, and takes the Tony Stark way out with the Green Goblin, a direct way to try to contain Harry and as a last defense against media exposure of Oscorp's black projects.
Meanwhile, Peter is fronting an R&D company with his inheritance from Aunt May while Miles takes the mantle of Spider-Man but is ill-equipped to take on Osborn single-handedly. I see Peter becoming rusty at being Spider-Man but mentoring Miles and providing a place where they can work on improving Miles's suits together as Norman gets more unhinged from the pressures of trying to cure Harry, contain what Harry has become, keeping Oscorp on damage control, and of course, being the mayor.
I'm glad MJ had more to do and a bigger part as a hero in her own right.
It would be a little cliche for her to get bitten too, but I could see Peter trying to make her more danger-ready.

The Spider-Man Spider-Man... *ahem* I liked but for a more nostalgia factor, I can see how it's sorta goofy though, The Amazing Spider-Man... I kinda found ugly, namely the villains... especially The Lizard..... Also that Spidey seemed more... of a jerk in some ways. I haven't seen the MCU Spidey to really give an opinion but from what I've seen he is sorta wimpy. Into the Spider-Verse was pretty good, other than that Ultimate Spider-Man, I know that's sorta the point of that universe but everything kinda goes Peter's way there and he is also somewhat a jerk. I think Spectacular and PS4 may have the best incarnations of Spidey on the screen. (I haven't seen any of the other Cartoons nor read the Comics, don't judge.)

This game is by far the best Spider-Man content outside of the comics in my opinion. It has an amazing cinematic feel from the films (taking the best parts of each of the Spider-Man shows and films), adapting the comics in a refreshing, yet satisfying way all while feeling new and exciting. I actually cried. It was one of the only few games that made me cry. Aunt May' s death was so sad. I even felt sorry for Otto because he was sick. He just wanted to live a normal life where he can move and walk like a normal person. He was only bad because the robotic arms changed his mood. And I got chills down my spine when I saw Harry was going to become green goblin. I honestly felt a larger connection with spiderman in this game then any other character in the mcu.

The game really hits on the big reason why. Peter has an insane guilt complex. Literally nothing about any of this was his fault. People make their own decisions. He didn't make Martin Li or Otto do anything. He's got great power, but he could stand to accept a little less responsibility, for the sake of his own mental health. It wouldn't make his desire to do good any less strong.

Does anyone else agree this is one of thee best spider man storylines. Honestly I kinda wish it was a television series or a film.
There is a prequel novel out there (Hostile Takeover), and I believe some comics following this Peter Parker in the Spidergeddon comic storyline. Hostile Takeover being more about how Fisk came to be the big crime boss he is in the early game.
Yeah, I thoroughly loved the story and the voice acting. Too bad the playability is a blatantly failed attempt ripoff of the Arkham games.

They made one PS4 Game have a more interesting story, vastly better Sinister Six set up and more investing characters than Sony did with 2 Multi-million dollar Amazing Spider-Man films.

Creative freedom and people that actually love Spiderman, that's the clue to make an awesome Spiderman story
Lane Maust yeah, but most of those 20 hours are are you playing. The cutscenes as a whole, and the important parts of the game related to the game like dialogue, and all probably equals to about the length of a decent movie, maybe two. Over-all The Amazing Spider-Man had more time in it's two movies almost guaranteed than this game, considering that for most of it you were playing a game, not watching a movie.
This is what will happen in the MCU in a few more movies.
I really liked the Amazing Spider-man films, but I do agree that this game is so much better than any of the Spider-man movies to date, especially when focusing on Peter Parker's emotional story.
Well, to play Devil's Advocate, the people making ASM had to deal with Sony's interference, a lot less time to flesh things out, legal boundaries that wouldn't allow them to put a lot of fun easter eggs into the movies.

Yer well I could also name plot holes in this game too, like how does Doc convince these villains so quickly, or that Peter still comments that Doc and Li are still on the loose after the game. Detroit has some flaws, but they defeat the purpose when the game itself is still fun and great in the long run. I would put it in the 2018 game of the years along with the other 3.

Went through a lot of adventures. Besides, he was already a wise and mature man when he was created. That's what Homecoming got wrong. Peter Parker isn't supposed to be a stupid millenial, the original Peter was always a wise teenager with a good sense of humor, roasting his villains while kicking the crap out of them.
Octavious is such a cool character when done the right way, like in this game. Very much slept on.

Honestly, the bond between Octavius and Peter in this story is just so bittersweet and built/destroyed beautifully.
Looking back at Octavius from Spiderman 2, that temporary friendship was only created because Harry controlled Ock's budget, and even then it didn't have much time and build to be a strong impact when it was over. Hell, the movie pointed out a not-so-subtle hint that he WAS going to eventually turn into a madman that "tries to blow up the whole city". In this game, the friendship was built from the start on its own naturally, starting with a poor interview that eventually turned into a strong partnership and finally a heartbreaking turn. We knew that this would be the guy that turned into Doc Ock, but at the same time, we didn't know how. We almost even hoped he wouldn't somehow.

Honestly, this game is a banger. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion the greatest Spider-Man game ever. The plot, graphics, EVERYTHING. This game is just perfect. Too perfect...

NBA Mixes a couple of bugs that I encountered in my playthrough here and there. But outside of that the game’s great.
