I love the snowball debt method. It's how I paid off my credit card and student loan debt a few years ago and have been debt free ever since. It took me a few years, but it worked for me. Hope it works for others too.
Yahoo 🎉 breaking up is the right thing to do. Glenda. My house is paid off and the car will be done in January 2024 … no credit card debt paid off every month … and yes love the snow ball method ! DR for the win !
I agree! DR has a lot of critics but I feel like when something works, it just does. I’ve tried so many other ways but this has been the one thing that has shown me real progress.
Thank You so much for being the voice of Reason. I follow Dave Ramsey and paid of over $146,000 in 26 months. I still watch him to make sure I don't fall for a lot of the insanity in the budgeting community. I repeatedly say that no matter how much money has saved in the bank or in cash envelopes or saving challenges, as long as there is ANY DEBT, that money belongs to the debtors means whoever the money is owed to. I got tired of being a slave to the debtor. Way to go!!! I cut cable last year. I still have Amazon and Netflix. I pay $1,770 over 5 years. Still too much.
I have gotten off track with that myself. I watched a video on YT a few months ago where someone in the finance community had suggested to get your 3-6 months of savings together and THEN pay debt because of how unstable things are out there. I actually switched up my plan to do that and then ended up using it to pay that debt, anyway. I get the reasoning behind what he suggested but I ended up “Dave’s Way” in the end. Debt it debt - whether it’s 0 interest, whether it’s to your Dad - doesn’t matter. Not owing anyone any of your paycheck is the goal and that’s a GREAT goal! 🙌⭐️
Congrats on your debt reduction!! that is awesome. OMG you are right on point. Last month I cut 2 of the 3 streaming subscriptions!!! I don't even miss it!! Way to go and good luck everyone on doing these savings challenges Jen is doing.
Paying off debt is literally the BEST feeling ever- I am working at paying off my $5.5k credit card debt I racked up - both from just consumer spending but also out of necessity and am building up my savings. Sending the first big payment feels SOO good. I LOVE this cash envelope system :)
So proud of you. I wanted to say before to pay off debt instead of savings since that is Dave Ramsey way, but it wasn’t my place! So happy for you to be closer to being completely debt free! So inspiring. 💃🏻
Yes! When I heard that statement a couple months ago- it threw me off because of inflation and the unstable economy, etc. and I think a lot of people are scared. We actually did put a bunch in savings so that’s where the $ to pay off this last debt is coming from. We decided to let it go and do it “Dave’s Way” 😂 Thanks for watching, as always! 💛
I only have 1 subscription which is for Netflix. and I use it on the daily! and if I get a new subscription I cancel my current one and then switch over. They really do add up if you have more than one.
I cut disney + a couple of weeks ago and s few months ago I cut barkbox. My dogs never liked the treats so I was spending $70 a month on just a couple of toys.
Hi Jenn! I canceled my Amazon Prime monthly subscription of $17. I moved it to my self-care envelope. Happy that you were able to break up with some debt! Yay! =)
We cut back to one streaming service a few months ago and do not miss them! I just cut Microsoft office, which was over $10/month because…why? When I make everything in google drive?!? Bam! That felt good! We still have Disney+ and I still have iTunes but I use them both a lot and I can write off iTunes on my taxes so I’m fine with both.
You are amazing - I bet you are so proud of yourself! I’m an Aussie cash stuffer and know how good this method works - we have never been this prepared financially in our lives! Maddi
Hi Maddie! It does feel amazing to be so in control of your own money. I wish I would’ve done this years ago! I actually read Dave’s book about 15 years ago and it helped me then but I was afraid of the cash envelopes and never did them. What a difference it makes! Thanks for watching and nice to hear from you! ⭐️
Just found your channel, and I love the idea of prop money. I have been struggling to figure out pulling out money to put it back in the bank too. Congrats on paying off your debts!! I’ve got a ways to go, but everyday is a new day!
I was pulling it all out of the bank before and I just finally stopped. I don’t want to be at the bank so often. 😂 Prop works really well for bills only, for me. And then cash for everything else- so I don’t overspend OR I’m remembering to save for. a specific sinking fund. Cash stuffing has really been a learning experience and I’ve learned a lot. It’s a continuous process and I enjoy it! 💛🐝
Love the mini challenges! Pantry, shop for new insurance, reduce other bills etc…. Cut out Disney plus and Apple TV a few months ago. Re-negotiated cable bill too, lowered by about $50
I’ve definitely blown my budget this month - very much a newbie at this and my willpower was shot. But seeing you get rid of that debt has relit a fire under my butt! Still learning what I’m doing, but I’ll get there!! ❤
It definitely takes time! I’m still learning and it’s been YEARS! The difference I notice is that I’m trying, right? So that makes you more aware of when something isn’t working or you are falling into bad spending habits or using your CC more or whatever it is that you know is keeping you in debt. I blew my budget, too… with my daughter here, I spent WAY more than I normally would but this time, nothing went on a card. It was all cash! And I did it, guilt free. Progress, my friend. Keep at it! 💛💛💛
We switched to paying our insurance every six months saving about 3 to 400 for the year. Also we brought our phone bill down 50 to 100 per month. The only sub we have is apple storage
So....I cant believe I am a little ahead of the game on this one. I changed trash companies....about 6 months ago...(after much phone hassle) and ended up paying $63 for 3 months...from $250 approx for 3 months; Also took my Spectrum from $211 to $143....and....may yet make another cut in another 6 months. I only have 1 subscription that I do use...I never did get on that train! So exciting that you figured your sequence puzzle out with the RV etc. Sometimes we just have to figure out the sequence....we have all the puzzle pieces? I am literally still digging out of the plumbing renovations....but really feel in the next 6 weeks I will have completed all that stuff...and still been able to to not lose ground in this process.....Perservere sweet friend! You both helping to lead the way!!!!!
The amount you saved on the trash company is 😳! Wow! Never know until we make that call - as annoying as it is. We are all pushing through- so proud of what everyone in this group is doing! It’s amazing, the amount of drive everyone is showing! 👏
@@2SisterBees Well and write your future selves a note as you approach retirement. . .it feels like everyone tries to "screw with ya." I was literally on the phone for almost 2 hours....same with the cable people...Now of course I am dealing with insurance company....but you just have to keep perservering....the water company, the sewer company....It is like someone put a sign on my forehead that says...I just retired and I am old and stupid LOL...Memos to all folks as they retire....some of these companies will give you a lower rate you just have to ask?
Congratulations on paying off 2 debts!! We currently have AMEX with 1,300 and PayPal of 1200$. The plan is to pay AMEX off in June and PayPal is financing 6 months with no interest.
It’s really the first thing I should have cut when we started saving. Getting rid of those saves me in the OTHER areas that I need to save on! It’s a cycle! 😅
I missed you. Even if it was for a short time. Glad you’re back. I cut car wash ($39.99), Ipsy ($32.69), and mighty fix ($15.26). My new nemesis is Etsy though 😢 only subs I have are scratch off club and Apple Music.
Awesome job with debt paying off you 2. I used the snowball method to get us out years ago. Then I found you & other wonderful ladies & doing challenges to get out of DH car expense.
We cut cable all together. No home phone. We don’t watch TV anyway . We save over $300 a month just on this 2 thing. That’s a lot of money for fixed income.
woohoo for paying off debt. It is such an amazing accomplishment. As far as the challenge. The only subscriptions I have is to you guys, Cricut Design Space (need that for my side hustle), iCloud storage, Apple Care + for my iPad, Canva Pro (again needed for side hustle), Pureflix and Amazon Prime. I can't be without those lol. We broke up with Cable, Hulu and Netflix a long time ago when we started our budgeting journey. 🤗
Sounds like you are down to the ones that serve you! That’s great! I did the same- I kept the ones that we actually use daily and the rest…. ✂️ Thanks for watching! ⭐️
It is! I’ve had moments where I’ve thought, “ oh man. I’m stuck for years.” And I could’ve been. But I feel like if you are looking for change, different ways than what you have been doing- they will present themselves and the years that you think it’s going to take- Turn into way less time because you’re thinking differently about your money now. It’s a process. Open your mind to some change in all areas of your life. It’s all connected.
And yes, me, too. I didn’t mention it, I don’t think because I haven’t actually done it yet. Wait… did I? I have been in such a frenzy with the cancel button- I can’t remember. 😂
I cut my walmart+ yesterday and it's $98 a year. I still have paramount+ until next year since it was already paid for. I only have 2 streaming services but I cut my CVS subscription as well which was $5 a month.
Oh yeah! I had that CVS one, too … for years! That $5 just kept sneaking past me. The $5 off does make it pay for itself but then you realize, they are just tracking what you’re buying and then making sure you come in to buy more! Everything is a gimmick!
Hey Jenn! I only have two subscriptions and they are $148/year for both. I enjoyed the video as always. Congratulations on paying off the RV and credit cards 😊
Good job! You'll be debt free in no time. I have only one subscription and that is Netflix. Prepare to laugh, it's the cd that comes in the mail, not the streaming. And yes, they still do that. 😂 I have never done Amazon Prime, it's not hard to spend $25 to get free shipping. Been going to Costco for years and I don't have a membership. You actually don't need one, just get family, friends, coworkers to buy you a gift card and you can shop there just like everyone else. Spectrum phone is $14 a month. Free cable and Wi-Fi at my apartment. This is all good right? Why do I feel so cheap right now?! 🤔
I had no idea Netflix still did that! Wow! I actually forgot that they ever did do it! You’re not cheap- you are making sound economical decisions! Be proud! 🙌
Hahaha! I knoooooow! No one wants to give them up. Even me. I just figured, all or nothing on this one and I canceled everything! Jason was like, “ Uh… DoorDash?” I told him that it’s more than the 9.99/mo It’s not healthy food, it’s high sodium. We have plenty of food here and canceling it will MAKE us cook! Hulu was just a waste and I’m SO GLAD I finally dumped that one. Instacart., I was only using once in a great while so… bye. Amazon - I’m canceling, as well. I don’t use anything on there except free shipping, anyway. Try it, April 😂😂 Come to the crazy side ! 🙌
Hi Jenn you and Jason are doing awesome. You should be proud of each other. Where can i get the expends tracker and break up with your debt forms please? I found the drbt one but not the expense tracker u used.
Going to cut Thrive. Already cut Amazon last year when they increased their membership. Wasn't using anything but the free shipping, so it wasn't worth it... just wait until I have enough items to get the free shipping anyway.
Congratulations on paying some debts off. That’s huge!!! 🎉🎉 I do have a question about your house. You set money aside for it but doesn’t the company pay for it?
I will try my Paramount Plus! Been thinking about Amazon prime, husband and I noticed we haven't been getting our items as fast as they used to come, like 2 days, SO WHY ARE WE PAYING??? if we absolutely need something a $25 gets free shipping🤦♀️
Exactly- the only perk I was paying for was the free shipping. Nothing on Amazon is life or death- I can wait until I have a cart with $25 of “stuff” 😂
Ah, YES!! Tiffany! That’s such great news!!! I am so happy to hear that! So, my tray is from Amazon. It’s glossy black and beautiful! I do cut craft paper and set inside each tray to mix up the look. That’s what the polka dots are- paper. Here’s the link for tray : www.amazon.com/shop/2sisterbees We try to put everything we use in the Amazon ! ⭐️
I did have to laugh when you mentioned about your kids coming and getting your roots done. It made me wonder do they do savings challenges & watching your videos cause they may have seen you already mom. I'm 59 & aging naturally . A couple years ago youngest said when the white was going down the middle that I was looking like Cruella de Ville. I told her thanks & in years to come she might as well.😂
Hahaa!! 😂😂😂 The girls actually do cash stuffing! 💛 I don’t think they watch all the videos but maybe some of them. 💛 I’ll be 49 in a few months- she doesn’t bother me at all. I have many friends who grew out their gray and it’s beautiful. 💕 Jason is a “silver fox” and I LOVE LOVE LOVE his hair. Just not so much on myself…. Yet. Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy the channel!
Local no kill shelter, homeless shelter, make goody bags and hand out to homeless community, veterans, breast cancer centers, food banks .. these are off the top of my head 😅
Haha! Of course they do! 😂😂 This isn’t about just holding money in envelopes. It’s a system for saving money, holding yourself accountable by allowing a certain limit for specific categories, using cash to save up in small increments for bigger expenses that you know are coming (sinking funds) - so many reasons we do this. You should check out the Cash Stuffing 101 video- ua-cam.com/video/Eo-0_Uzd8zE/v-deo.html
We only have disney + and amazon prime and my wife only pays for amazon prime with gift cards she gets from doing things like fetch. I think maybe i can cut disney + but if you see in the news a 3 and an 8 year old girl took out their dear ole dad ...😅😂 But seriously they have almost all the movies on blu ray so may as well try.
That’s exactly what I did with my kids WAY back in the 90s 😂😂 They had every DVD/VHS you could think of and they watched them over … and over… and over……… and over. 😂😂😂😂
@@2SisterBees oh yeah Isabella especially will watch a movie 4 times a day. At this point I could dress as Elsa for Halloween and perform let it go a capella and scare all the trick or treaters away. 😂
I cut my Kindle Unlimited subscription, I am an avid reader and can read 2 books a day easily but out of the 4 subscriptions I cancelled mine. Otherwise, there would be a revolt in the house lol.
Hmmmm… I think when the subscription is used that often and for reading - maybe should have kept that one? Or do you have plans to look at thrift stores , go to library ?
I always place the same amount on both of them and then when I roll the dice the next time I just look back until I find the last high number. I hope this helps! =)
If you’ve already been through them all and use the ones you have- that’s the challenge! Sounds like you already did it! I kept 2 I use daily, as well! ⭐️ Thanks for watching !!
Cancelling HULU. I literally only watch it 2-3 months out of the year for "The Handmaid's Tale". I'll just start it up again once the last season comes out.
I only have one subscription and that is Kindle unlimited and I use it almost every day. I average reading between 100 or 150 books per year! I do have regular cable TV that is the only thing that my husband will not give up. I think he would divorce me if I tried to take it away. 😅😅😅
That’s how Jason was with Hulu- it had his local channels and weather. Also, may I ask what kind of books you read? Do you have a specific genre that you like? I tend to lean into anything self help/ psych and guilty pleasure… definitely true crime! I love Dean Koontz, John Grisham, Sydney Sheldon… kind of my classic ones. I have read some books lately that are not what I would normally read and I loved them.
I only have 2sister bees subscription and I’m not getting rid of that one😂 Awesome! Way to go Jenn! It was so satisfying watching you crumple the paper. Have an amazing weekend🫶🏼
Ugh! Uthred is too much with his little Superman stretch and that little pudgy wrinkle over his nose! I love him! I could lie down on the floor and cuddle with him for days! ❤❤❤ he probably wouldn’t be into that, but I love that lil guy!
I knooooow! His stretched out little Turkey legs! Omgoodness- I love him so much! He is not a cuddler, unfortunately. He turns his head real aggressively and side eyes me when I try to kiss his face! 😂😂
I love the snowball debt method. It's how I paid off my credit card and student loan debt a few years ago and have been debt free ever since. It took me a few years, but it worked for me. Hope it works for others too.
I love it, too! It has really changed our lives! 👏

@@2SisterBees we are taking control back. I love it 😀

Turn into way less time because you’re thinking differently about your money now. It’s a process. Open your mind to some change in all areas of your life. It’s all connected.
So satisfying to crumple up the debt trackers! I am canceling Amazon Prime.
It made me laugh! It really was !!
Oohh I wanted to do this challenge this month anyway! I am cutting at least 3! Nice job paying off all of that debt!! WOOHOO!!💕🐻
Yes! Let’s get these done, Sis! 💛
Design Space for my Cricut I'm using the free version now.
Great job! 🙌
Wow!!!!You guys are crushing that debt❤❤❤. I used the debt snowball to pay off debt as well
Yes! Gazelle Intensity! 🏃
I payed off my last card after completing the 100 enevelope challenge
Yesssss!!!! This makes me SO HAPPY!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🎉🎉🎉
Hello Jenn! Cancelled Apple TV. 👏It was not much but totaled at the EOY would be over $60.
Yessss! All these small changes add up! Keep at it!
🥰 thank you soooo much for your videos ❤️❤️
I’m so glad you like the videos!! 💛💛💛
Cute pup 😊
He certainly is! 🐶
i think the big give should go to shriners hospital . also the only subscription we have is amazon we cut everything a few years ago
Awesome job!
I love that charity, good one to suggest! Thank you! 💛
I cut off 2 small charge subscriptions. When my cable contract is up I plan on cutting that
Yeah! ✂️✂️
Good afternoon Jenn!!
Hello Celeste! 😁
Congratulations on your debt
Thank you! So happy!
Hey Jenn! I only have two subscriptions and they are $148/year for both. I enjoyed the video as always. Congratulations on paying off the RV and credit cards 😊
Thank you! We are so happy about the super fast progress now! Follow those Baby Steps!
You are welcome and the baby steps help. I'm on baby step # 1.
Be proud! 🙌
Big Give to World Vision.
I have to Google that- I’m not familiar.
Gazelle Intense! Cut & Pay 💸
Yes, girl!!! I’m RUNNING! 😂😂😂
Well done!!!+❤
Thank you! 💛
Great job Jenn with the debt removal!!!!
So so so happy! Nothing I have ever bought made me this happy!
Well, except for Uhtred! 😂
@@2SisterBees Uhtred is awesome!!!!!!!
That is a tough one I will definitely try out your challenge thanks for another great video❤
Hahaha! I knoooooow! No one wants to give them up. Even me. I just figured, all or nothing on this one and I canceled everything! Jason was like, “ Uh… DoorDash?”
I told him that it’s more than the 9.99/mo
It’s not healthy food, it’s high sodium.
Excellent!!!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!! 🙌
Yay! 🎉 Good work! So inspiring! 🤗🤩🙌🔥
Thank you, Miss Lady Di!! 💛💛
It’s a great feeling!
Hi Jenn you and Jason are doing awesome. You should be proud of each other.
Where can i get the expends tracker and break up with your debt forms please? I found the drbt one but not the expense tracker u used.
I am using an old one, I guess. I just looked in our Etsy shop and I don’t see it, either.
Let me ask April if she will put it up. To be continued….
@@2SisterBees ok
@@2SisterBees Hi Jen, did April find that expense tracker u used in your video?
Going to cut Thrive. Already cut Amazon last year when they increased their membership. Wasn't using anything but the free shipping, so it wasn't worth it... just wait until I have enough items to get the free shipping anyway.
That’s EXACTLY what I am doing… add to cart until I get to $35. Nothing from Amazon is a matter of life or death! It can wait! 😂😂
Congratulations on paying some debts off. That’s huge!!! 🎉🎉 I do have a question about your house. You set money aside for it but doesn’t the company pay for it?
Thank you!!
And yes, we pay ahead- they reimburse in his paycheck every week. So I put it in bill checking so we don’t spend it!
😂
@@2SisterBees thank you! My curiosity was so piqued 😂
Good it already done
Yes! 🙌
3k towards car loan this month!
I loved this video just wrote all all my debt so I can start the snowball method by the way Jenn where did you get your cash tray I love it
Ah, YES!! Tiffany! That’s such great news!!! I am so happy to hear that!
So, my tray is from Amazon. It’s glossy black and beautiful! I do cut craft paper and set inside each tray to mix up the look. That’s what the polka dots are- paper.
Here’s the link for tray : www.amazon.com/shop/2sisterbees
We try to put everything we use in the Amazon ! ⭐️
I always love your videos! Thanks so much and congrats on all your debt killing!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy! 💛💛💛
Incredible Great job 👍
Thank you!
I’ll be 49 in a few months- she doesn’t bother me at all. I have many friends who grew out their gray and it’s beautiful. 💕
Jason is a “silver fox” and I LOVE LOVE LOVE his hair. Just not so much on myself…. Yet.
Thank you so much for watching and I hope you enjoy the channel!
Fun video
Thank you!!! 💛💛💛
Local no kill shelter, homeless shelter, make goody bags and hand out to homeless community, veterans, breast cancer centers, food banks .. these are off the top of my head 😅
That’s my problem, too! I can’t choose one but there will always be another BG.. so i need do just pick one! 💛💛💛
The homeless is a HUGE issue, in CA, as everyone knows. Maybe I can do that.
Only have Amazon Prime
That’s really good! I was getting too many going. It was time for a ✂️.
Don't your banks have internet services in US?
Seems messy to have so much money in different folders and pockets.
Haha! Of course they do! 😂😂
This isn’t about just holding money in envelopes.
It’s a system for saving money, holding yourself accountable by allowing a certain limit for specific categories, using cash to save up in small increments for bigger expenses that you know are coming (sinking funds) - so many reasons we do this.
You should check out the Cash Stuffing 101 video-

We only have disney + and amazon prime and my wife only pays for amazon prime with gift cards she gets from doing things like fetch. I think maybe i can cut disney + but if you see in the news a 3 and an 8 year old girl took out their dear ole dad ...😅😂
But seriously they have almost all the movies on blu ray so may as well try.
That’s exactly what I did with my kids WAY back in the 90s 😂😂
They had every DVD/VHS you could think of and they watched them over … and over… and over……… and over. 😂😂😂😂
@@2SisterBees oh yeah Isabella especially will watch a movie 4 times a day. At this point I could dress as Elsa for Halloween and perform let it go a capella and scare all the trick or treaters away. 😂
Question, with your variable spending account do you have your own or do you share with Jason?
All of our money is ALWAYS together.
And this is why it works:
www.ramseysolutions.com/relationships/the-truth-about-money-and-relationships
I cut my Kindle Unlimited subscription, I am an avid reader and can read 2 books a day easily but out of the 4 subscriptions I cancelled mine. Otherwise, there would be a revolt in the house lol.
Hmmmm… I think when the subscription is used that often and for reading - maybe should have kept that one?
Or do you have plans to look at thrift stores , go to library ?
@@2SisterBees I have over 5000 books on my kindle I can reread or I can listen to Audio books on You Tube😁
Hi jenn
I'm a little late but late Better than never 😅
Too 10, Denise! ⭐️
HI jenn karina here. I have a question..on save or spend.. when the dice is the same number.. what shold i do? save or spend?
I always place the same amount on both of them and then when I roll the dice the next time I just look back until I find the last high number. I hope this helps! =)
Yes! What Melody said! I do the same! 🙌
$875 would be a bargain where we are in Oregon.
A week? Rent is 3498/ month.
We are so very thankful it is reimbursed. 💛
I cut Netflix, Crave, Acorn tv, and Discovery within the past month.
You guys are ON IT! 🙌⭐️
I don't know if I can even do this little challenge this week. I only have $44/month in Subscriptions and are all things that I use! lol
If you’ve already been through them all and use the ones you have- that’s the challenge! Sounds like you already did it!
I kept 2 I use daily, as well! ⭐️
Thanks for watching !!
what's the Dave Ramsey's say I was listen too
Dave Ramsey :

We cut all the subs for cutting the cord and we are saving 80 a month
Nice job!!
The last time I paid off a card I got another bill for like 3 dollars. Most of the subs I won’t miss another member of my family will
Interest is the devil! 😂
Cancelling HULU. I literally only watch it 2-3 months out of the year for "The Handmaid's Tale". I'll just start it up again once the last season comes out.
Ha! That’s my fave show!!!! I will do the same! 😂
@@2SisterBees mostly murder mysteries with a few Christian books or self help books sprinkled in.
@@2SisterBees Uk basketball and Cincinnati Reds are his passion.
😅 By sam's club
Yep! All of them! Bye!
I only have 2sister bees subscription and I’m not getting rid of that one😂 Awesome! Way to go Jenn! It was so satisfying watching you crumple the paper. Have an amazing weekend🫶🏼
Well, we don’t count! 😂 Hahaa
Thank you for watching today, Guadalupe! 💛
I hope you have a great weekend, as well!
Last month, cut Amazon prime, cut pandora, cut HBO max, cut Apple TV! I
Yesss! It felt good, right!?
@@2SisterBees so good!!
I cut netflix and disney is gone 😊
Good for you! Let it go! ✂️
