Demonstrating the Administration's unwavering commitment to help the farmers, fisherfolk and their families recover from the severe effects of El Niño, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of various assistance in a program at the University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos (UNO-R) in Bacolod City on June 27, 2024.
During his previous distribution of assistance in Mindanao, the President emphasized that helping agricultural communities recover from the crisis is key to achieving a 'Bagong Pilipinas'. Today, he is extending Presidential assistance amounting to PhP10,000 each to select beneficiaries from Bacolod City (10 recipients) and Province of Negros Occidental (10 recipients), as well as monetary support amounting to PhP10 million to the City Government of Bacolod and PhP50 million to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

On top of these, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) likewise hands over financial assistance to its identified beneficiaries while the Office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez gives five (5) kilograms of rice to each event attendee.
