@@hubfried wait so what's the most efficient method of core collection when doing a teralyst hunt? I just finished the war within a few days ago and got the basic amp, and I want to try solo-ing the teralyst.
I have to mention that the Strange "purposeless" spheres dropped by vomvalysts when killed, make your warframe or operator shiny for a few seconds. That means you can carry the vomvalyst charge to the lure yourself if it died too far away from the lure. Thank you for the vid!
The easiest and fastest way to get the Tier 1 and even the Tier 2 AMP is to farm cores from vomvalysts with Ivara, build for duration for perma stealth and range for pickpocket. Ivara will pickpocket the little buggers with a 100% chance to drop a core and then you get a second core when you kill the vomvalyst. Simply follow the Teralyst around the map and now and then damage the Teralyst so he sends a flare into the sky to call in vomvalysts to help/heal him. If you get the hang of it it's really easy to farm up to 300 cores within 30-35 minutes. Ivara will pickpocket 100% of the time but sometimes she fails one or two attempts. In that case she has some kind of cooldown after a failed attempt and tries again after 2-3 seconds. So either be patient and give her another try or kill the vomvalyst right away to get only one core.
Could you recommend a arcane setup for the tenno and amp. From your experience which ones to invest in. I saw we can put 2 sets on our tenno and one on our amp.

Whilst it's definitely possible with other frames, i'd say oberon is objectively easier to use for solo kills. he has heal and forget with renewal (heals the lures and you) and his hallowed ground during the emp spike makes that stage very easy to avoid completely. Trinity can also work, but she needs to do more work then fire and forget oberon. Add phoenix renewal to cheat death for 1 min (if that happens) and i can't think of a better frame for this solo. Great guide. One of the best I have see so far. The best part is that it also applies to hunting in a group. If the all 4 Tenno follow just those guidelines, they will do really good.
Hadn't even attempted taking on the Teralyst before I saw this video, followed the steps got my first kill using Rhino/Vectis prime and mote amp. Takes a while to wear down the shields but after the first time switched to Chroma and had Tier 1 amp which made it much quicker and easier. Great video been Eidolon hunting every night since I love these fights.
I just looked at your guide and it is an amazing sources of what it is needed. After watch it i wet to the plains and almost got one by myself with Revenant. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Great guide. Clearly explained every aspect of the fight in a straightforward and easy to understand way. Liked and subbed for 'shoot it in the bum' though.
Thx for this guide man even after 5 years. I found this guide good. Most people tell me to do public, but my laptop can't handle any party or it will crash. Actually, try with a mote and it's a disaster.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and they're all great. Really good and usefull content explained like a pro for everybody to understand :3. But I have to say that what makes me come back and watch more of'em even if I already know the stuff, it's because of your voice and that "bye bye" in the end. I'm a guy, I'm not into homosexual stuff, I just like the sound of it and felt the need to share it hahaha !
im a new player and just searched for a guide to farm quills and this came up, Decided to try solo it and did it first time thanks to your guide. I used prime zephyr and Lanka with the first crafted amp and i'd 100% recommend zephyr for new players as you can completely negate all of his missiles with your 3 and just permanently hover above the blue crap on the floor.
So someone took the time to actually explain the fight! And am awesome explanation an that! Thanks! I came back to the game after 2 years break and this video is awesome
The small missile have a minor homing ability, which you can beat by simply sliding. This works great for Operator since you don't spend as much time dashing or hiding in void mode, and you can keep shooting more often.
Jeez Thank you! You make it sound so simple. Much better than that pc gamer article I read. And now I know why my lures weren't working... bust kneecaps first. Check.
Thanks, really good guide, better than most others who just say have all this op stuff and then your good. You broke the fight down simply and I'm hoping I can solo this now that I know what to do.
finally fought the teralyst after painfully lv'ing my rubico prime and used your rhino tery roar build and oh boy it was intense and fun. only died twice 1st was no energy and 2nd was after the 1st (lag freeze kill) just gotta do this 4 more times for the paracesis.
Its actually really interesting watching these videos now and comparing the meta back then with the meta today. Its insane how efficient eidolon hunting got with the Tridolon update.
I know this is a fairly old you tube video, however I wanted to thank you for this vis as it did help me to take down teralysts solo. My personal record is now 3 in one night cycle using Rhino or Rhino Prime with Lanka. 👍😁
first time i've tried fighting one of those we had ~20 lures... took ages to find the teralyst and we thought more lures can't harm (won't help but definitely shouldn't harm) well, guess who had troubles seeing anything other than lures no matter which direction...
Just setting up for these battles are annoying enough. I only wish people understand if others join you, they might not be there yet so don't take their lack of experience personally. pass or fail you get something from it. Sometimes you have to fail before you can succeed.
I spent 400+ hrs in the game and still shy away from eidolon just because it's so freaking intimidating. But after watching your clear guide of the fight, I feel courageous enough to try a solo run against it.
Limbo is also a good warframe to use, nothing hits him in the rift. Get some distance and use a good sniper to keep from dying during the joint damaging phase. Also if limbo jumps into the rift and the operator pops out, Limbo will remain in the rift, creating a nice safe space from any of his attacks
I don't know if I heard this in the video but, RADIATION DAMAGE it'll be your best friend during these fights. otherwise, you won't be able to do as much damage to teralyst
It's important to note that that first ability (the stomp) becomes the most op ability later on because a second blue wave goes and sprouts multiple blue spheres that shoot the homing missiles. It's the one ability that kills my lures.
Well, my first Teralyst fight ever, and solo, I was able to get it down to about 20% during the final phase but got overwhelmed and ran out of revives. Exhilarating to say the least. Thanks again for this great guide.
During daytime you can also farm cores from moon tileset because battalyst and conculyst drop intact and exceptional sentient cores, also good to farm the vengeful revenant mod.
I also recommend bringing a Sarpa with Shattering Impact. If you use about 6 charge shots on the Teralyst at any point, you can completely remove its armor.
I got my first Teralyst kill the other day, the second yesterday. I must say the first one went waaaay more smoothly. At the last phase, the Eidolon did not even regenerate any shield! For the second one though, damn Vomvalysts won't stop coming
A bit late to the party, but thanks for the explanation. I've been trying to fight the Teralyst myself, and... Well, it's not been going well. Didn't have a Warframe weapon capable of damaging it to any significant degree, so it took me literally all night to shoot off one of its legs :) I do have a Snipetron Vandal, though, and it should be easy to refactor for Radiation. I also have an Arca Plasmor that's pretty heavy on the Radiation damage. Might try that, as well. Thanks.
Special note: Nyx doesnt care about the energy spikes either when you have the assimilate mod. She's not apt for eidolon but she CAN provide an INFINITE (total energy ammount withstanding) respawn point for your operator and wont be affected by the energy wave.
As of early 2020, you cpuld use the kuva chakkhurr wih radiation, heat or electricity innate because you can either add heat or electricity mods to it to get radiation on the chakkhurr
If you fight Eidolons this way, please do solo them XD You should have Void Strike and an x23 or x27 amp and use the secondary fire mode. Bring a Rubico, Lanka, or Vectis, modded for Radiation damage. Fire all shots through a Volt shield. That will do you fine for any hunts with randos you get by just picking up the bounty, and many of the rougher mechanics of the boss fight won't happen in the first place.
If you have a good amp i recomend limo since just enter the limbo now your invincible enter operator mode and then if you die you will switch to limbo that cant die
If you throw down a new loka healer right before the teralyst does the magnetic wave and switch to the operator you can avoid losing energy on your frame
ah i see the thing i did wrong with the teralyst was not bring any lures to stop it from teleporting i also brought arca plasmor which was not a good idea LOL Great video :D
The teralyst's 2nd attack looks like a *fat dab* xd However what I really wanted to say is that even if you can only kill the tera, it is still a much better and funnier way of gaining focus... I've been doing ESO for a while now and repeating the same missions (well with some variety each week) over and over again for a month drives you crazy for real, so I only do it when I get an affinity booster. And arcanes are nice too ^^
A nekros with health conversion can tank the terralyst scream when you smash through a joint...you can put health conversion on any frame but it's more effective with Nekros since his 3rd ability buffs health orb drop chance.
Okay so.. Radiation damage+patience=shields down, Void plains/invincibility or maybe hildryn shields= long term survival, Shoot joints+dodge attacks=joint pops, 2 lures+near death eidolon= capture What mr and equipment level or damage numbers should I aim for
I tried to fight the Teralyst and I gather 5 lure drones to do so but, I didn't really know what they did. It took an hour plus to get 1 limb on it mainly because I have lower damage weapons. The best part was when it spawned it probably got glitches on a rock and it didn't move. All it did of course was attacking me. It stayed there even when the sun came up and stopped spawning those eidolons and only did that big blue burst attack. Once the limb was gone then it Finnaly moved. I gave up after that cause I didn't want to dwindled it down any longer.
Nobody has mention Hydroid Prime turning into water to avoid the energy spike and be invincible while in that state. To revive teammates you need to use the operator in void mode (Stealth mode) and revive teammate without taking damage. One player should focus on killing the vaunvalysts while the rest attack the Teralyst. 4 lures or more can help alot avoiding shield recharge of the Teralyst and capturing him for a better loot reward. Good luck guys.
I've farmed 95 cetus wisps in 3 days just for amps. No booster, only volt prime becauze im a lazy fuck and haven't built arching launcher segment. Cetus wisps suck ass. Can't speak for fish, as my friend was helping me to get a better amp so I could help him hunt, so he gave me all this fish I needed.
Your inherent laziness cost you a lot of time in the end. With Archwing, you can do a run in a couple of mins and get at least 2-10 wisps a run, with apparently more spawn % during the night.
I've started soloing the teralyst now, with Chroma and Lanka +212 amp, I need to make three lure runs per kill, but I'm up to three captures a night . I tried bringing trinity to skip the lures runs, but the damage wasn't there for me. The fight is super fun as an operator with the ridiculous amount of dodging
@@MCGamerCZ hi there I think that the tier 2 amp is a lot better than the one you are choosing because it has a wide area of affect and hits multiple points on the eidolon I'm just saying not that your guide is bad it's really good but I think that this amp is a lot better
Theres plenty other warframes that can ignore the magnetic proc of the wave; Titania with her 1, Hydroid with his 2 Augment ect. Id have future proofed the video by saying "any warframe with an ability that protects from status effects"
You can unbound that passive in the Vazarin tree, it is called Rejuvenating Tides, and then you can use it in other schools. Each school now has two of those "way-bound" passives that you can unlock and they become avaiable for each school. It is quite pricey though, 1mil focus to unlock it and then you need capacity for it which adds up.
Beginner - Intermediate Solo setup. *Rhino with 200% Strength And 150-200% Duration *Lanka with Rad + Crit build *Twin Grakatas Rad + Crit *Any Decent Melee (I personally bring polearms) *Tier 1 Amp. Using Amp secondary fire to 2 shot the vomvalysts and AOE the middle of the teralyst. Hide in void mode during teralyst attacks. Once shields are down Iron Skin and Roar Rhino. Shoot Limbs. Rinse and repeat until all Limbs are gone. Done. EZ teralyst kill. If you want to capture just find 3 lures, hack and charge with vomvalysts before starting to fight the eidolon. You can easily do 2-3 kills/captures in one night. Even more if you have a decent solo setup.

Watches first 5 minutes of the video:
Im sorry I dont speak Warframe
Hahaha yeah same I've been watching so many videos on this topic and I still just don't "get it."
Great guide. Clearly explained every aspect of the fight in a straightforward and easy to understand way. Liked and subbed for 'shoot it in the bum' though.
3:26 if you possess a charged lure it will only regenerate half its shields
Thx for this guide man even after 5 years. I found this guide good. Most people tell me to do public, but my laptop can't handle any party or it will crash. Actually, try with a mote and it's a disaster.
I've been watching your videos for a while now and they're all great. Really good and usefull content explained like a pro for everybody to understand :3. But I have to say that what makes me come back and watch more of'em even if I already know the stuff, it's because of your voice and that "bye bye" in the end. I'm a guy, I'm not into homosexual stuff, I just like the sound of it and felt the need to share it hahaha !
I don't usually comment on vids but man yours are honestly really good. Keep it up:D
Finally, a guide that’s straight to the point. Very informative!
I've been waiting for a guide like this, thank you
im a new player and just searched for a guide to farm quills and this came up, Decided to try solo it and did it first time thanks to your guide.
Check.
Thank you so much for this guide, this is the most complete guide I've seen so far and it explains everything incredibly well. Thank you sir.
Thanks, really good guide, better than most others who just say have all this op stuff and then your good. You broke the fight down simply and I'm hoping I can solo this now that I know what to do.
Thanks to you I just took down my first teralyst thank you so much for the help and the builds. YESSSS!!!!!
finally fought the teralyst after painfully lv'ing my rubico prime and used your rhino tery roar build and oh boy it was intense and fun. only died twice 1st was no energy and 2nd was after the 1st (lag freeze kill) just gotta do this 4 more times for the paracesis.
Will regular rhino work well?
Its actually really interesting watching these videos now and comparing the meta back then with the meta today. Its insane how efficient eidolon hunting got with the Tridolon update.
5:00 The one time where having the high ground is a bad thing
Thanks for the guide, been needing to hear some of this advice big time.
I know this is a fairly old you tube video, however I wanted to thank you for this vis as it did help me to take down teralysts solo. My personal record is now 3 in one night cycle using Rhino or Rhino Prime with Lanka. 👍😁
first time i've tried fighting one of those we had ~20 lures... took ages to find the teralyst and we thought more lures can't harm (won't help but definitely shouldn't harm)
well, guess who had troubles seeing anything other than lures no matter which direction...
Ahahaha....same.....i went to bed shortly after.
Just setting up for these battles are annoying enough. I only wish people understand if others join you, they might not be there yet so don't take their lack of experience personally. pass or fail you get something from it. Sometimes you have to fail before you can succeed.
Just beat it !
Thanks for the guide i couldnt have done it without your vid.
One of the more informative guides. Thanks mate.
Yo just wanted to thank for the guide keep it up fellow tenno
Oh man, this was So helpful. Thank You!!
Thank you VERY much! I'm trying to solo as much as I can, so I needed this badly! :)
Finally. A good guide on how to kill this boss.
I spent 400+ hrs in the game and still shy away from eidolon just because it's so freaking intimidating. But after watching your clear guide of the fight, I feel courageous enough to try a solo run against it.
Just shoot it in the bum
Limbo is also a good warframe to use, nothing hits him in the rift. Get some distance and use a good sniper to keep from dying during the joint damaging phase. Also if limbo jumps into the rift and the operator pops out, Limbo will remain in the rift, creating a nice safe space from any of his attacks
Thank you so much for this video MC you have been my guide since day one so thank you.
Player since sep, 2016. Dec, 1, 2018 still have not killed any Eidolons... just never thought about em until recently.
Concise and well thought out. I now have the confidence to go kill my first Teralyst. Thank you.
A big thank you. I didn't know how to get rep with The Quills for one thing (to get stronger AMPs for my Operator).
I also recommend bringing a Sarpa with Shattering Impact. If you use about 6 charge shots on the Teralyst at any point, you can completely remove its armor.
thing your explanation is the best so far for ppl who dont have op mods
Thank you so much! I have rubico prime being made right now, so I should be able to take this guy on today if I'm lucky
2:44
Where did you get this Warframe from i want it too, looks really amazing!
I don't want to give you any spoilers but I will tell you this
Complete the war within quest for that
@@saviojospeh3494 Thank you
@@LLELB 👍
Brilliant video, concise and clear. thank you.
Please do a similar detailed video about the attacks and strategies for the other Eidolons also! Really appreciate it and thank you.
This is an awesome video! Thank you!
You can face tank the energy spikes with Chroma while running Arcane Nullifier, gives you high resistance to Magnetic damage.
Just killed a teralyst today and I gotta say it’s the most fun I’ve had while fighting a boss in a while.
MMMMMMM that second dream music at the end is just amazing
Old video, but it earned you a sub! This is a great guide.
If you throw down a new loka healer right before the teralyst does the magnetic wave and switch to the operator you can avoid losing energy on your frame
Thank you!!!! i just beat my first teralyst today by myself!!!
ah i see the thing i did wrong with the teralyst was not bring any lures to stop it from teleporting i also brought arca plasmor which was not a good idea LOL
Great video :D
The teralyst's 2nd attack looks like a *fat dab* xd
However what I really wanted to say is that even if you can only kill the tera, it is still a much better and funnier way of gaining focus... I've been doing ESO for a while now and repeating the same missions (well with some variety each week) over and over again for a month drives you crazy for real, so I only do it when I get an affinity booster. And arcanes are nice too ^^
A nekros with health conversion can tank the terralyst scream when you smash through a joint...you can put health conversion on any frame but it's more effective with Nekros since his 3rd ability buffs health orb drop chance.
conner kilmer or a harrow with around 7-8 seconds on covenant, and decent range. Invincibility for everyone.
Thank god finally a straight foward awnser
Okay so..
Radiation damage+patience=shields down,
Void plains/invincibility or maybe hildryn shields= long term survival,
Shoot joints+dodge attacks=joint pops,
2 lures+near death eidolon= capture
What mr and equipment level or damage numbers should I aim for
I tried doing solo with mote amp... don't bother lol
It takes forever to drain the shields.
Yes. Like I said. End game only. At least to kill the bugger. Just damage it to attract vomvalysts.
I found when crafting another amp, that the cetus wisps where the most difficult to get.
I don't like doing it with aw since it seems like the loot mods that you equip on your wf doesn't work and that annoys me :/
Fucking bullshit I have to kill shit to get adherent rank and I can't
Thanks tou you i did it for the 1st time ever (alone also) and to that i managed to capture it 2 times in one night
I've started soloing the teralyst now, with Chroma and Lanka +212 amp, I need to make three lure runs per kill, but I'm up to three captures a night . I tried bringing trinity to skip the lures runs, but the damage wasn't there for me. The fight is super fun as an operator with the ridiculous amount of dodging
this is honestly the only eidelon video i ACTUALLY understand
Not trying to be rude but will my monkey frame with Maxed ranked Arcane grace and Arcane Energise be a good replacement for Rhino?♥️
Yes, though I would probably slap on handspring for the knockdown recovery
MCGamerCZ Thnk you sir♥️
rhino is good because of his buff, so wukong might be tankier but rhino will get the job done faster
@@MCGamerCZ hi there I think that the tier 2 amp is a lot better than the one you are choosing because it has a wide area of affect and hits multiple points on the eidolon
I'm just saying not that your guide is bad it's really good but I think that this amp is a lot better
Theres plenty other warframes that can ignore the magnetic proc of the wave;
Titania with her 1, Hydroid with his 2 Augment ect.
Id have future proofed the video by saying "any warframe with an ability that protects from status effects"
Hello MC how do you Operator can regen heath, i see you not using vazarin focus school ?
You can unbound that passive in the Vazarin tree, it is called Rejuvenating Tides, and then you can use it in other schools. Each school now has two of those "way-bound" passives that you can unlock and they become avaiable for each school. It is quite pricey though, 1mil focus to unlock it and then you need capacity for it which adds up.
The only thing I do now is capture eidolons, only farm for better gear... To capture them faster
Beginner - Intermediate Solo setup.
*Rhino with 200% Strength And 150-200% Duration
*Lanka with Rad + Crit build
*Twin Grakatas Rad + Crit
*Any Decent Melee (I personally bring polearms)
*Tier 1 Amp.
Doing high level spy's and using operator to hack undetected gives a lot of affinity as well
You forgot to mention that the second shockwave attack will home onto you if you get hit by it, stunlocking and potentially killing you on the spot.
awesome video... so much detail
