When seeing the set design part of the video, I just gravitated to the Mr and Mrs Smith design, but know that when I become super wealthy, and have a pent house apt. overlooking Central Park, I’m going glam! (I’ll be wearing a black velvet, sleek gown, sipping champagne from a flute glass, and de-aging about five decades, as I stand in front of the evening cityscape). However, when taking the test, the only letter I didn’t pick was “a”! I never seem to be able to find my style
A common conundrum Jeanne-Marie! I feel like many of us like a mix of styles which becomes paralyzing when it comes to making design decisions. You can love mid-century and still fall in lust with a glam light fixture! This video was SO much FUN!!! Julie, you definitely need to do this type of video again. There are so many interior spaces in media that can could use a break down like this! You could even theme the breakdowns like horror movie sets, super heros, or netflix exclusives. Another fun idea might be for your crew to find interiors for shows you havent seen and you break down who lives in the space based on the design like you did with New Girl. 😂

I'm a mix between Gossip Girl and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I haven't seen it in a while, but I do remember that the set of Olivia's apartment on Scandal was spectacular! I remember that it was glam, and I love glam, but I like the kind of glam that won't get dated over time. Basically, Classic Glam.
Hi Julie My favorite sets are from movies in the 1950’s Connecticut suburban stone walls wood mid century modern. I just like to feel at home. I grew up in the late 60 ‘s 70’s. We had mid century modern pieces that are still in use. Truly timeless. What went out of style were the sofas. The swivel club chairs are still hip. I also liked the apartment in Bob Newharts show from the 70’s and Mary Tyler Moores apartment in her show. Doris day movies can give good examples of mcm too! More like this please!
MCM is super popular for a reason- you really can place a single piece in a warm and cozy interior and it will simply fit 👌🏻 I have to look into those shows Margaret, thanks for tuning in! 😊
BDCCB. For style I prefer the more formal looks to contrast with casual living. But don't let that D mislead you, the Gossip Girl set looks the most boring to me.
I’m mostly C, and I HATE the Friends apartment. Also, the traditional room with the turquoise drapes and upholstery that you show right after the Friends room doesn’t appear to have anything in common with it.
Sorry but the Friends LR reminds me of Sanford & Son’s junkyard house. These kids are just out of a dorm room. They won’t live like that when they grow up.
@@JulieKhuu I like a but it is too cluttered I like the style in 7th Heaven if you have seen that, I like earth tones,I do not like dark, cluttery or fussy, I like clean lines, I do not like old fashioned furniture with carvings or unnessary things that have to ne cleaned

The set supported the fashion, so it was all about the main characters. It was a fun watch! Almost like a younger version of Sex and the City 🏙️
