    Thanks for this, I chose the p2 over the p4 after watching this video. I kept looking at various media around both multitools and I couldn’t decide but the fact that you’re a knife guy with a premium collection made the decision for me.

    P4...all day every day. The fully serrated blade is so useful!

      If P4 was available at my store I probably would bought for the blade configuration but I enjoy the size of the P2

    I also like the P2 for edc. I have a bunch of locking knives, multi-tools, and victorinox knives. I prefer the P2 to all my other leathermen, swisstools and so on.

    While I like the p2 I prefer the Charge as I do use the saw often. I do have the Charge which is stiffer to open to access the plier with one hand but can be done. I can’t do that with the Surge however the interchangeable saw/file and the larger scissor make it better tool when on the job. The Charge is the one I carry most of the time.

    As Union worker; Stage Hand, Carpenter, High Rigger. My choice in commercial use, LEATHERMAN-“SURGE”_&_LEATHERMAN-“CRUNCH.”

    Did you loosen up the pivots for the knife and scissors? Mine are very stiff and I noticed the knife hole is sharp...

      No, but they may loosen as you actually use the tools!

    I really want to love the Free P2 . I'm currently running a wingman . And the parts that I love about the wingman are the price point and the spring assisted pliers . The free p2 is over priced imo currently @ 175 dollars Canadian compared to the wingman is only around the $100 Canadian mark , the magnets are a problem for anyone who works near metal shavings and the fact that the pliers have no spring assist is a let down . I'll stick with my tried and true wingman thank you .

      Guy, I work in a machine shop, I have zero issues with the magnet, I’m not just saying that.

    I really enjoy your videos and I’m not knocking your opinion, but what can scissors cut that a knife can’t?? I often want to replace the scissors on my multi-tools with a more valuable tool. Please convince me why scissors are a necessary multi-tool accessory.

      Can you trim your nails with a knife?

    • @DustinFlu

      It's mostly a safety thing that's underrated unless you have medical training or have had a bad accident (they happen don't act invincible) a knife can do most jobs scissors can but not as safely. I understand wanting to switch out tools though it would be awesome if leatherman made a modular customizable tool.

    Have you carried any of the Victorinox multi tools?

    • @UrbanSurvivalist_
      @UrbanSurvivalist_ 2 роки тому +3

      I haven't tried any of the plier based Victorinoxs. I respect traditional SAKs, but I don't really like to carry them due to the non-locking tools.

      I’ve carried a Victorinox Fieldmaster daily for over half a year, and I use at least one tools daily. That includes the wood saw. I have never once had problems with a slip joint tool closing on me unintentionally. Same goes for the Case slip joint traditional pocket knives I EDC.

      Looks like the pry/chisel/package opener tool on this was inspired by the Vic Swisstool/Spirit.

      @@UrbanSurvivalist_ That makes sense. I will recommend trying out a Victorinox Spirit MX Clip. It has a great tool set, it’s ergonomic and the construction quality is second to none IMO.
      Of course, different strokes for different folks and all of that but I do recommend taking a hard look at it to see if it would satisfy your needs

    Why p2 over p4 ?

    • @UrbanSurvivalist_
      @UrbanSurvivalist_ 2 роки тому +5

      I don't need a saw

    • @roy-batty
      @roy-batty Рік тому +4

      Smaller form factor, lighter and most people never use serrated knife and a wood saw. I mean, it's still bigger than Victorinox Spirit with less tools, P4 seems too bulky for what it actually is.
