the sound effects and stuff for Catalyst is just the best xD
And they can be anything. I'm waiting for the day Hoyo cooked up conjured weapons for Catalysts. Imagine a character wielding two Cryo axes, or any other weapon type that doesnt fit into the 5 weapon types.
Ngl claymore is my favorite, maybe cuz i'm a Beidou main, but it's just really satisfying to bonk the enemies as hard as i can. And the noise when they die is just 🤌🤌🤌
Same, I'm a Chongyun main and whenever I play with sword or polearm characters I feel like they do no damage😭
Enemies also go flying when they're killed, which is funny as hell

genshin is so immersive that playing a claymore character feels like youre the one who is lifting it

They made it easier to pull it. I only needed 70 primos to get both Arlecchino and her pole arm.

Polearm being the fastest, just look at sugar rush Xiangling. Girl looks like she's trying to kabob EVERYTHING

I’m a Claymore girl, I don’t find their play style slow or clunky. I love all my claymore babies ❤ As a proud Itto main I stand by my claymore users.
My favourite weapon was and always will be sword ❤. Polearm doesn't even come CLOSE

We’ve gotten 3 five star limited claymores in around 4 years 😭 with how many sword and polearm characters they release, it feels they’re taking up every character slot. Also I’m biased cuz claymores my favorite weapon type lol

i love catalyst users bc u dont need to rely on skills to break shields, you may never use monas autos, baizhus autos, etc but theyre gonna come in clutch to break a pyro or electro shield respectively
Personally, I prefer claymore since they mine quickly, are good at destroying shields, and deal tons of damage.
I love both polearms and catalyst, I love raiden and arlecchino in the polearm section, and nahida, wanderer and neuvillete. They have one of the most unique gameplay, flying go brrrr, neuvillete go brahahahha, and nahida just crtl+alt+delete
I rlly love claymore, whenever i use xianyun i can plunge atk which are rlly satisfying to see😋
As a neuvi main, I can confirm that I hear him go “BALRAHRALRAH” whenever I use his e-skill or charged attack
dont forget the fact that polearm attacks can go trough shields

My favourite weapon type from how it‘s wielded is sword, but right after that is catalyst
The fact that genshin even has a manhwa which expands even more on the lore of genshin especially monstand and even shneznaya,fatui and deliuc if you are his fan it's a must read
My team is composed of claymore and swords, the pain of hunting down a ruin guard and eye of storm is 💀🤌
Love that Heizou and Wriothesly don’t use spells or direct elemental hits. They literally use their fists and add elements to their punches 😭
Also I consider Fischl and Venti to be honorary catalysts bc they don’t use their bows for their main attacks 💀
Claymores are more like the characters you specifically choose at the end game than the early game
Beidou is underrated
I absolutely love when Beidou is on my team! She's one of those characters who reward you for trying to consider the enemy's attack patterns and encourage you to scheme instead of just focusing on stats.

Not putting Xiangling in the polearm section is such a missed opportunity

claymores, i fell in love with sweet maid girl noelle throwing around her huge badass sword when i first started. razor was my first c6 and carried me early game, absolutely demolishes geo cube pillars. pipeline into mono geo itto main. i just love big bonk damage

Catalyst is obviously the top 1 simply because its the only type of weapon who can aply elements in the hits, and do elements reactions
For catalysts we have crazy variety too. There's Heizou and Wriothesley punchers, there's pyromaniac Klee, and even Tankfei lol And the animations for different catalysts bring an amazing variety, like Ningguang vs YaeMiko vs Wanderer. PLUS, catalysts have infinite application, very flexible characters like Nahida, great healers... Catalysts are definitely my favorites.

I personally like catalysts the most bc they have the largest range of atk animations, plus they’re always elemental. Catalysts also have some of the best F2P options in the game.
My favourite weapon type is bows because I like long range weapons, meaning catalyst is my second fav, with swords at third, polearms at fourth and then claymores at fifth
Eulas attacks are so smooth, shes so fun to play as (i main her), but honestly all weapons are good respectively

For me, I think the Bow is the best since range attacks for me are the safest ways to attack while doing decent to good damage. Then it's sword, polearm, catalyst, and finally claymore
I used to despise claymores... But now I have Navia and she's 70% of my damage while not even having maxed artifacts, so...
The catalyst commentary got me!

I’ve never used any claymore char since eula came out. When I got Navia on her rerun, I realized its been a while since I invested on a claymore weapon 😅

Interesting to think that when the game launched, Polearm only had a single playable character in Xiangling (Zhongli came in after in 1.1, Xiao and Hu Tao in 1.3, and then Rosaria in 1.4)

Back then when Fontaine had just been released I thought the Hydro Archon would be a claymore user because of the statue of the seven she looks like holding a claymore but Genshin said it's a sword
i’m a claymore user since day one basically (i was a noelle main on my first acc) and honestly i like how slow it is. it feels easier to control imo. besides even if i didn’t like it i have no choice my navia is cracked 😭

Beidous my favorite claymore user. I love using her and bennett on grassy surfaces. I set down Bennetts burst and then use his skill to light the grass on fire. Then when I hold down Beidous skill while standing in the fire itself, I don’t take any damage as well as charge up the attack!
My favorite thing about playing genshin is that I don’t have to follow any meta. I play the characters I like and figure out my own ways to deal lots of damage, and I can still have fun. Even being f2p doesn’t stop me from having fun characters to build!
Catalysts are definitely my favourite weapon type but I actually run more polearms 😂
Polearm has the most characters so it will have the most diverse cast

I only ever had fun playing with claymore. I actually feel like i'm the one doing the damage
Don't Diss the Claymores, we got the best Physical Damage out of all the types, in early game and moments where you can't utilize elemental reactions, we cannot be stopped
As a Yoimiya main, bows are my obvious choice. I've pulled almost every bow character except Childe & Sigewiene, and I love every one of them. Even Amber
Bloodstained told me Claymore are good, but Genshin is allergic to making main Dps claymore users.
Plus for polearm, you can literally use a 3 star polearm. And you can still do cracked damage

My fav is catalyst because its really easy to make elemental reaction with them just slimes are their weak point
