Welcome to the next Episode of Koali Zoo in which I build a Aviary for Birds in Planet Zoo. The netting and structure took ages but it was so worth it.
Hoping that there will be birds sometimes in this game, we now have the Aviary in place if we will ever get some =)

One of the best Koali episodes!!
The whole Koali crew together sharing a great time!! Absolutely stunning creations, funny conversations that made me laugh so hard at some points, a long episode and a week after the last one. Perfect!!!... You are the best, guys. And your sense of humour, Rudi, in the comment section, on Reddit and in every video is truly appreciated. All these things put together make every weekend a total joy just for having Koali.
By the way, the others agreed on Rudi influencing Frontier on new content!!

I took a break from Planet Zoo, and just recently started playing again. I forgot how BEAUTIFUL the game is! Sometimes you need to take a break from a project or the entire game itself to return with a refreshed view. Happy to see that the series is back!

God I want an aviary pack with this game. Just built a flamingo cafe inside my flamingo habitat and I kinda gave up on building an aviary just because of the lack of wires and other mesh type pieces that you mention here. Its given me some ideas though for how I could go back later and do something like this, but won't be until my zoo is complete at this point otherwise this will completely break my zoo! For now it'll be how it is. But honestly dude you've blown it out the water again. Kudos to you. Frontier should be paying you for this content. Making videos is time consuming. I didn't realise until I started myself. Not just with the build but with the after editing. So honestly amazing work dude keep it up!
Edit: also valid point about the flamingos not flying. The keeps are basically just clipping the poor things wings constantly to stop them flying away.
Also can we start a petition to make 2m and 3m paths a thing in this game rather than having to mess around with queue paths? Please??
Frontier definitely need to be watching this stuff.
I have had poor success with birds on my zoo!? :/ Made really cool habitats for peafowls, flamingos and cranes = Almost none guests wanna see any of them!? :( Ostrichs do better, but only because they are on same habitat with half a dozen other savannah animals.
Love, love, LOVE the aviary! The intricacy and the engineering is absolutely stunning!

Amazing as usual in Koali ! This aviary is so gorgeous Rudi, great job. Hope one day we get more birds, they would give the little final touch to this incredible build ! Now, we have to wait for next episod and see what Mike has planned for Koali. I'm really impatient :)

The best thing about this enormous 20k bird-temple is that it miraculously vanishes in al the sightlines you could dream of. Love it!

I am only disappointed you didn't take some art-shape birds from the Workshop, there are some really cool ones just to fill up the trees inside the aviary with colour

Every time I think the zoo is complete, you guys come up with something else amazing!
It would be cool to have the feeders with birdseed that the guests could pay to feed the fictional small birds that would be flying around. Most aviaries that I have been to often have small gumball dispenser type machines that give you a small handful of birdseed for a few quarters. I just don't know how you would make that in the game because of the lack of small pieces. Another thing would be hand washing stations at the entrance and exits especially since people would be likely to get pooped on and would want to get it off quicker than finding a bathroom, but I guess you could just place toilet blocks nearby to simulate that. I just wish we could get an aviary pack or pond type pack with smaller animals and living fish you could put in the habitat's water or make like a koi pond. But that seems unlikely to happen because they want to put in the big flashy animals, not the smaller ones that fill up a zoo.

I'm actually worried they will make Flamingos and Peafolws flyable when they add actual flying birds to the game and have the engine for it, and we will all have to rebuild our enclousures for these animals :D

Its so satifying to see all these microbuilds fit together in one huge macrostructure
Something I would like to see added to the game, if it isn't already an option, would be an elevated pathway for the animals to go over the guests. If I remember correctly, Cincinnati Zoo has these sort of "hamster tunnels" for their apes that are see through and go over top of guest pathways. Would be a cool element and would allow for greater space for the animals to move from one side of the habitat to another.
When put many birds in the Game, i did so big aviary with big Peacock Garden🦚 & Giant Lake for Flamingos & Swans🦩🦢!!!🦜😉👍

Not on this topic but is there anyway you can delete null barrier in the game Cus I downloaded a blueprint from steam and there’s null all around it so I can’t put paths near

Woww thats soo nice, how do you send the files i want to do a colab but dont know how?
Fairly easy actually - there is a save-game folder locally you can simply pull the files from to transfer on a chat program like discord or upload to a place like Google Drive or WeTransfer. The path is: Local Disk > Users > (you) > Saved Games > Frontier Developments > Planet Zoo > (custom unique number for your game) > saves.
Rudi - inspired by this, I’ve tried to build something similar to this. My game has ground to a halt since building it. The FPS is OK, but every time I place anything around it the game stalls for a couple of mins. Did you experience this at all? My piece count looks similar to yours.

I skip around on other planet zoo speed builds with only one commentator, but when it is a Koali episode I always watch the whole thing because I love the conversation and reactions between everyone!
I think Indonesian government should see this and then hire these guys to create this amazing zoo in real life...❤️

I’m so happy to see a new koali zoo episode, it make the perfect thing to relax at the end of the day. Also I repeat rudi is really good at filling space with nice builds, now I’m yet again excited to see what’s coming next.

Upside down tree trunk could have made a decent birdnest? Maybe one with bit of a roots, and duplicated and rotated slightly?
Oh boy! Water in PZ!? Can't decide witch one is worse, water or pathing, but both extremely annoying! :/ I had big plans for my riverboat ride, but as I can't put water back in, F*** it! :/
