I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and I work in an underground gold mine in northern Ontario, Canada and I have to say that these Milwaukee ear bud are amazing for my line of work because I can be working under a 48 inch ventilation fan working on any piece of equipment in the mine we’ll playing my music and still listening to our radio for the next service call coming in. When I go into a quieter heading to work on a piece of equipment these ear buds work like hearing aids so I can still listen to music while having a conversation with the operator. I work a 11 hour shift and when I’m on my lunch break I put them back in there case to stay clean and charge up and they last the whole shift so just another amazing tool from Milwaukee.
What about talking my on the phone with background noise can people on the other side hear the noise?
Personally, I like the big case because of one big reason. I wear hearing aids. They cost $3,000 each. I put them in the Milwaukee case when I wear the ear buds. They stay safe, clean and I wont easily misplace the case. Just my thought.
Nice thought! I wear hearing aids too, will be doing the same thing.
These are great I love Milwaukee stuff. I heard a rumour they're releasing Milwaukee Fuel Jobsite toilet roll with an 18v powered dispensor next year, can't wait.
I'm sure they'll have a packout compatible version for $50 more too 😂
(no shade to packout btw I've spent embarrassing sums on my packout setup that I use everyday, love it)
😂
The big case might be good in the sense that you can find it in your tool bag or box. However, they can still just come out with a smaller case and give you the option to purchase it for like $30 or something. And I would definitely buy these, but only when they go on sale for like $130.
You are correct! I had these in my luggage when traveling and they were much easier to find than my small Samsung models. I guess it depends on how you use them.
Ya 30😂
Yup and you lessen the chances of dropping them or leaving them behind bc they're red and big / not so hard to see. Not saying it cant happen but it lowers the chances.
Im def getting these. on sale would be great so ill keep an eye out or FB Marketplace. 😮

I have the Sony's and they do OK with noise cancellation when on the mower but these Milwaukee noise reduction pods would be a huge improvement. The price isn't bad either, considering comparable buds are >$200. Great video! And good gravy you have some awesome equipment!
Perfect timing! Thank you so much for this review. I almost bought the festool ear buds but read some complaints about the sound and mic quality. Makes sense, since they're rebranded isotunes free awares. I have 3m worktunes, but really don't want to wear bulky ear protection any more. Gonna grab a set of these. Thanks again.
Glad I could help!
They looks a lot like my JBL UnderArmor. They're great, the only problem with those charging pins is they get dirty or slightly corroded easily, making the earbud not charging when in the case. I have to cleab them often with rubbing alchool and a q-tip.
This sounds gross, but is my reality. I have the same pins on my Samsung earbuds and they are always oily. They get ouly from my sweat and from my fingers removing them. I do clean them often. That makes me wonder how these could corrode. With that said, the Milwaukee earbuds do not sit in the ear as far so may stay cleaner.
Just got mine yesterday love them ! Work on heavy equipment
The one reaching low battery before the other is actually by design. These earbuds(and most others) will trade off certain duties with each other as battery level allows.
The earbud with more battery life will do the power-hungry job of communicating with your phone, and then efficiently hand the data to the other earbud. Once that earbud has been doing that for awhile and the battery has drained below the level of the other, the earbuds will switch jobs. This swap can happen only every 20 minutes or so to keep you from noticing the change.
This power saving feature is also why you will sometimes have good or bad connection to your phone, as the signal is sometimes getting sent through more or less of your body(huuuuge interference source).
I run smasungs and you hit on ALL the good and bads of both!
I think this is designed for the worker as opposed to the average person.
Acts as ear plugs to reduce noise exposure that can cause hearing loss over time.... but I wonder if using the buds at a certain volume would also do the same? I feel like they would be great at the job site for the people running power tools and or small machinery.
I bought them. Love them, best product on the market.
If i didn't already have Pixel Buds Pro I'd jump on the Milwaukee's. This case is large and im sure id complain about it pretty often but if I'm completely honest, I lose the small cases in my room or truck all the time, convenient until it's not.
I get that! The only reason I can find my samsung case easily is because it is white. If that was black, it would probably be lost in a vehicle somewhere.
Been looking forward to this video. Thank you so much ❤
Can't wait until Milwaukee starts making smart phones, hell yeah!
JCB makes a phone I can't remember if its theirs that can show you heat escaping from a house.
As a person who recently lost my wf1000xm4, I think I’d appreciate a large bright red case.
I wonder how they would compare to the Shure Se 215's. They have superb sound isolation, and transparency mode while delivering great audio.
Just got them. Looking forward to using them. Thanks for the video 🤘🏾😊
can u listen to music through these, but hear conversation well at the same time?
I think I will wait for the 2.0 version
If the case was small and clipped onto an M18 or M12 battery for charging then these would make sense, but otherwise, may as well get ear buds from a company that specializes in audio equipment.
How they work with compressed air if you blow small holes? Airbods pro2 doesn't remove that sound but pops and bangs in the ears like hell. Pro1 works even better.
Would be nice if you could store measurements and have them played back
It would have been a nice benefit to compare these to air pod pros as I have one that is dying and I am very much considering replacing them with these
Do air pod pros have a NRR?
@@WorkshopAddictFrom what I can find they have no nrr rating. That does not mean they dont do it just means they are not certified as hearing protected
That's a jumbo case for sure. Yuge as they say.
I wonder who manufacturers these for Milwaukee? They kinda look like Beats.
I've been using the Sony Linkbuds S for the last year with no issues. I've got almost 1200 hrs on them.
I'm not in the market for a jumbo case, but the earbuds themselves look fine.
Finally a man doing manly reviews.
I left my case at daughters and since getting it back one of the EarPods (left) will not charge and will not turn on. Anyone experience this?
I have gotten the earbuds dirty enough they did not charge. Might try cleaning the case and the buds.
Can these earbuds be used One at a time?
Yes.
Great video. Earned yourself a sub👍
Did you have any discomfort or ear pain after prolonged use? I tried the ISO Tunes FREE Aware in the past and they ended up being uncomfortable for me.
I do not. Is your discomfort due to pressure? Maybe downsize the foam? I am unsure what to tell you with this because these are similar as to how they "connect" to your ear, so you might feel the same. I am unsure.
I had the same experience... and combined with their size they were always the first thing to take an impact...
How do theses compare to iso tunes?
I use the ISo-Tune Free wireless earbuds, or I did. The main thing I like about the free model is the size of the earbud and the case. Isotunes has no where near the sound quality and they do not have the ability to get sound into the earbuds from the outside. I am replacing my isotunes with the Milwaukees. Night and day improvement and I am surprised Milwaukee nailed it as good as they did.
@WorkshopAddict I'll be looking into the milwaukees for sure. Thank you.
@@stevendavis2244 Glad to help

Thank you. That’s a similar question I had. I wear Plugfones daily. NRR of them has made a huge difference with my tinnitus. Look like a good alternative to AirPods for those of us that need hearing protection.
I feel like they’re gonna come out with a second and a third gen with improved every thing.
Third gen with lasers and flashlight.
Issue I'm having is the Bluetooth constantly connecting while I'm driving. How do you turn them off?
Put them in the case
Are these coming to the UK? Can't find anything online
I just got mine. Never used them yet..
Can you hear music in both buds ? When both are in my ear the right one won't play music 😢
Yes! These, and all ear buds work by connecting your phone to one ear bud and then that ear bud to he other. Have your tried to put them in the case and remove them and connect again? Maybe reset them to factory and start over?
Very nice thank for the info i am thinking about getting a pair .
How do these handle gun shots? Do these support Aptx codec? I use my walkers for outdoor work and hunting, they are OK, my big problem is wind noise covering stuff up
I too wear walkers for hunting because I can hear things walking up to me. These will not do that. They muffle a lot of the things that happen around you. They do however handle loud bangs very well. Similar to a loud hammer strike, it tones it out for the most part. You only hear the high-pitched snap at a lower volume.
So if I was shooting on a range, would these be a good choice?
@@jl9362 They work to reduce the noise well. You could turn on the sound when you need to communicate, but the noise created when shooting is annoying, but not loud.
You rock. Thanks!
You're welcome!
It would be nice if the use m18 battery so we don’t have to charge often.
Sound compression... and shouldn't be a humming sound at all i have Caldwell ear buds for shooting and no humming noise at all
I too have the caldwell ones with a cord connecting them. I am not a fan and they do not work the same as these, but they do not have static.
Sony xm4 and xm5 are great for ANC
Great review
Hi.... are they good for shooting? What what is the NRR/SNR?
25 nrr.. got it.
Thank god they made it usb c
10 thumbs up!
Have you tried these while shooting guns? Curious if they’ll be good shooting ear pro.
I have. With the exterior sound off, they work great. With the exterior sound on, they are awkward at the range. The shot is muffled and makes a funny noise. Great to use off or with music while shooting and turn on exterior sound just to talk.
How the hell do you have yours??? I ordered mine from ohio power tools August 10 and have been told they wont be shipped now till 11-10-23 really pissing me offs
I got a little bit of special treatment so I could make the video.
He's a reviewer, they sometimes get early access to products in order to allow time for testing / review before the public release
but what about Siri or ok google will it work ?
Do they have active noise cancellation like air pods or pixel buds?
No, because you do not want noise cancelation for safety. These are similar to ear plugs, but in the active mode will allow you to hear what is happening around you. In that mode, it will reduce the bad sounds coming in and it will allow you to adjust the volume.
@@WorkshopAddictI absolutely do want noise cancellation lmao I don't give a shit about forklifts reversing buckin rounds in the desert
does anyone know how well these work for the range??
They work great as long as you do not have the ambient volume on while others are shooting. That bang and echo makes the ambient sound go crazy. Use them in sound-deadening mode and they are awesome.
Do they work for the range?
Yes
Can you use them individually?
You can use just one, but you cannot use both with separate phones.
I have a pair the biggest problem is they r not loud enough
To keep in the theme of ear protection on a building site their volume is limited compared to others.
Would they be good for firearms?
They work well at the range. I turn off the ambient sound.
ALWAYS take any review with an affiliate link in the description with a pinch of salt...
Affiliate link or not, you should always use your own brain not not someone elses. In my world, IF and ONLY IF you choose to buy this product and you use that link, it helps me to pay for other items that need to be purchased to make these reviews. It never means I would lie to people.
@@WorkshopAddictIf people should use their own brain and not someone else's it kinda defeats the object of a review at all 😅
@@jorisbonson386I’m not quite sure if you’ve used your brain today or not
Could you run with them in?
I have once with the foam in and it was okay. I would run with the silicone. But they are larger and if you sweat, they could fall out. Short answer, yes.
Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like it’s possible but not ideal. More job site focused than an all rounder…
@@Mattyn998 job site based but will work all around if needed.
Milwaukee will produce rugged phones next.
Great review. Love the gadgets, but I think I’ll invest the 180+ into my retirement. Been watching a lot of guys and gals blowing through piles of cash, to each there own. Just saying.
Take them to a gun range indoor and outdoor and let me know how they perform
:) Please. I wont have the opportunity to do an indoor as I have my own outdoor range. They are amazing outdoors. sighted in my 300 WSM and they were flawless. They were not designed for this, but worked well. They were designed for work with nail guns, indoor and out, so that is a similar sound that gets filtered out and all you hear is the higher pitched snap at a low volume. the small faster stuff has an interesting crack for a sound. Again, quiet, but different.
I can’t get my to work
have you linked it to your phone
You are totally lying.. I purchased a pair of them. After one hour of use my ears hurt so badly.. Also the sound quality was not that great. I never use them anymore. They were cool they were milwaukee.. But they are terrible
I am sorry they did not work for you. I enjoy mine a lot and now have 3 pair. They work well for me and I was able to size them for my ears. I can only assume you did not have the right size "plugs" in for them to hurt your ears. Sorry it did not work for you.
Or just stick a plunger in your ear lol. They are a tad big.
Those things are huge! Earbuds should be small and form fitting, looks like Milwaukee missed the mark, and they are ridiculously expensive for what you get. Huge case, huge earbuds, huge price. I'll take a pass, that's just my honest opinion.
If they're anything sound quality liken their radios. Junk
My dewalts are hateful
Ur also paid bye them
I take it you did not watch the full video.
Once again Milwaukee makes a product that only a true fanboy could like.
Literally the worst in class, paint it red, use a proprietary battery, triple its price....and people buy it.
Ha, sounds like you are describing Apple and a million other brands too.
Please explain how they are the "worst in class" hardly anyone else makes earbuds for this specific use case aside from Isotunes

@@WorkshopAddict I'm a Milwaukee customer, who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Milwaukee tools over the last several decades. So, I appreciative a good tool even if it's expensive.
But lately Milwaukee has just been slapping their name on some really questionable BS tools though.
I mean, they still don't even make a decent charger, that actually balances the cells properly. I have to open them up and balance them myself when they inevitably becime unbalanced. They just offer a really "dumb" charger, for their top-tier price battery packs.
