Absolute respect for you Sarah, that took real guts to put yourself out there like that. As someone older than yourself, don't worry that you haven't reached a "destination" point in your life. It is a complicated journey that we all have to walk and our paths are each our own. If I could offer one piece of advice, be sure periodically to look back on what you've done to this point, you'll find it's pretty amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I 100 percent agree that I will be able to look back and be like wow… I did all this stuff?! 💛😭 It’s a very humbling thing to think about!
I’m about a year into my photography journey, and I am absolutely loving it. If it wasn’t for people like yourself, creating on UA-cam and teaching I’d be a bit lost.❤❤
I’m a relatively new follower in the last couple of months, but I’ve gone back and watched most of your videos and you’ve really hit your stride this year. You have a unique spin on the landscape photographer scene and your images are absolutely beautiful. Keep doing your thing!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate this more than you know. I’m on it with keeping up with everything and really hope to provide great value for you guys! 💛🙏
Thank you for letting us into your life. Even if it's only a small glimpse. I hope you enjoy your travels, a life without joy is not living. If you ever make it to Central Ohio I would love to take your picture.
Nice video Sarah. I am sure you will find someone you love in the future. You deserve it. Beautiful photos with your yellow dress! Keep up the good work. 😊
I love the opening of this video Sarah! Your video skills are really blossoming! Thanks for sharing your struggles. There is no question that a life in the arts adds complication to relationships. But never give up! It makes me so proud to see your success as a Canadian female photographer. You give me hope! Thanks for all you do!
Life is complicated full stop. There are those who live the life you describe as a 'normal' lifestyle and yearn to do something else with their life. I think you have the perfect lifestyle now at you age. Who knows you could continue for the rest of your life as you do now or one day you could just decide it is time to change. Whatever you do, as long as you are enjoying yourself and love what your doing I for one am very envious.
In stead of searching outside, you could search inside 🦋 meaning each one of us is already complete. Incompleteness is an illusion. Go with your flow....
Glad to see ya back in the promised land! Its always cool to see other places, but equally or even more cool to see this province shine with your photography 🔥
I can so feel what you were sharing, I am not a travel photographer, however I do crave connection with others and when I have to leave a place, it takes me forever, I am usually one of the last people to leave. haha! I truly hope that you will find the love of your life and be able to start a family, it is the most important thing you will ever do in your life. When you do start a family, know that travel doesn't have to end. Maybe one day you'll marry another photog and then you will never have to explain a thing because they will just get it! Hahaha! Best of luck to you miss Sarah, may all of your dreams come true! Can't wait to see your book! Congrats!!
Awwww you’re so sweet Sarah. I agree about starting a family is the most important thing…. Chasing success is a season of life but nothing beats having close relationships with good people. Thanks for watching and leaving a nice comment. Much love 💛

Hey there Sarah. I think you find ways of making connections wherever you go. That is why it's always so hard to say goodbye. However, maybe try retooling your thoughts into - it's not goodbye, rather "until I see you again". Even if the possibility is slim to none of that happening. I know, easier said than done. As for romantic relationships… well all I can say is you need an Amanda - (only the male version) in your life like Gavin Hardcastle has. Someone who's willing to be nomadic with you. Again, easier said than done. Just know we all here root for you, love your open honesty, and vicariously travel through you and LOVE your photography. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to this endeavor!!!
Hi Sarah, I'm sure someday the right person will come along with the same creative juices you have and it will feel right to stay where you are at that moment. Until then keep doing what you do best 🙂

Amazing video as always. We don’t get to see the photo shot with the drone and why I didn’t work. I also suggest the mini 3pro. I have the mini 3 and wish I had got the pro with all the extras it has it is definitely worth the money. Can’t wait to see more 😊💛
I just purchased the mini3! Excited to get out and use it. I ended up not taking a drone shot, as soon as I had it in the air I knew I needed to quickly switch to the dslr before the belt of Venus disappeared 😁
I've learned that it's important for me to be semi-nomadic in life (I do have a good white collar jobs that subsidizes my photography habit). I've found in dating that if I'm with someone who doesn't want to get out and see the world, I'll be unhappy and being solitary brings me more joy. If I ever get remarried, it'll probably be in an old folks home when I'm too old to wander the countryside anymore.
Haha! Yes I would either need a partner who accepts the season of life I’m in and gives me the room to travel, or they would have to travel with me! Cheers to the old home plan! 💛😂
@@sarahlyndsay well, one thing for sure, if you do find a partner who you can travel with and still enjoy being around, get a ring on that finger pronto!
You are just so amazing my Canadian friend and you are destined to do greater things no matter which path you take as your heart is always in the right place. Will be missing you in Iceland this year but hopefully next year if Luminar does it again we will catch up again. I promised my wife that it was her turn to pick a holiday destination this year. All the best lovely lady 💛
Hi Joe!!! Thank you 😭💛🙏 Missing you big time mister. I am going to Iceland this year and next year I am thinking of putting on a small Ireland retreat!!! 🇮🇪
Oh goodness, I haven't made it through your video yet, but the opening was amazing. I remember you mentioning you are working on your film making and that was just an amazing opener!
Yay!! Riley I am so happy to hear it. I love the process of film making and the drone has made it so much easier to really get cinematic footage. Thanks for watching the video! It means the world 💛
As other comments have stated... a lot of people can relate to your story. You seem like a great person and you will find the right person for you. I am also a single nomadic person, but I know that my journey will go where it goes and I am just along for the ride. Maybe try to join a group for something you like... maybe photography. Stay on course and you'll do just fine. Keep up the great work on the photography and videos.
I admire your willingness to open up and share some of the emotional parts of your life. People don't connect with a photo, they connect with the person that took the photo. So, what you have created with sharing is that deeper connection with your followers. I'm impressed. Being a dude, the idea of being that open scares hair off me! Maybe that's why I am bald !!!!! Lol One can be alone with a ton of people around. Everywhere you go you seem to find someone to connect with. You are lucky that you get to meet and enjoy time with so many around the world. When it comes to my photography, I am pretty much alone. My wife and I are connected deeply and on a level that few ever are lucky enough to find. Except for photography. She has 0 interest in it other than the end result. She will take me out to shoot, but that is about it. So if you think about it, you have people in your life that share your passion for photography, even if only for a short time. I would love to have someone to go on my photography journey with me. So in that respect I envy you! At least you didn't get the drone stuck in your hair. See, that is why I like being bald. Hair is highly overrated!!😂😂 Fun video ma lady!!
Hello good sir!!! Thank you so much for watching this video and leaving a nice comment as always. Somedays I want to be bald 😂 I would love to meet someone who has a love for photography! It might almost be a requirement at this point. Mini 3 is coming! Woooo hooooo!
I am a little bit on the opposite site here. I have a family and lots of responsibilities and therefore I can't travel, at least not as much as I would like. Would I prefer to be alone? No, I wouldn't say that. But I often miss that potential version of me which is absolutely free and not dependent on anyone and anything and can live each month in a different place. I'm an introvert though, so there's that 😉 Anyways, I hope that you'll find that special someone who would be happy to travel with you, if that's what you'd like of course. Love your videos. Take care ❤
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Both lives have pros and cons…. The journey has been discovering what is truly important to me at the core 💛🙏 I am sure you can relate!
I'm thinking about upgrading to the Mini 3 Pro too! Always enjoy your videos Ms. Sarah. 💜💜 I got the feeling your motherly instincts have kicked in. 🍼👶🍼 Another enjoyable watch! 💜
Don't worry about being single and lonely in life, everyone is lonely and looking for something, I'm 65 and bend single over half my life, relationships just don't work out for me but it's my life and I'm happy. 😊
There may be a time when you can put photography on hold and concentrate on building a relationship with someone. Photography will always be there- relationships and having children --not necessarily so. Think about what you want and whats important to you. You will figure it out. 😊
Hi Sarah - thank you for keeping it real and your honesty. At 55 I'm clearly older than you and was blessed with a beautiful relationship for 20 years, but became a widow 7 years ago. It is photography and travel that has kept me going. You haven't chosen an easy path but you have certainly chosen one that follows your passion and I truly hope that brings you happiness, and a partner if that is what life has in store for you. Thanks again and even though I'm a new sub to your channel and emails, I love your work and what you hope to do with your yellow dress project across the world. I'm in Australia and not what you'd call an 'adventure' landscape photographer, I'd still love to be part of this. I'm sure you'll share how to apply to get involved
Hey Sam! I really appreciate the comment. Sorry to hear about becoming a widow and yes I chose a life of adventure & travel. Next video I’ll have to touch base on the pros about it! Thank you again for your encouragement!! I really appreciate it 💛🙏

Maybe all you have to do is find a great Canadian Photographer that loves doing the same thing you do and the rest is history. Like my grandmother would say "you make your bed, you sleep in it." why so secret about a location? Someone would recognize that building. Not all those who take pictures are a photographer and all those who wander are not lost.
I would DATE you for sure, Love your energy and ADVENTURES! I Live and PHOTOGRAPH IN NYC, if you are ever this way we can go shoot in some amazing places here in NY! Be well and stay safe.
Sorry you feel lonely sometimes. I hope that one day you will find the right partner and have the life that you want. Looks like your book is going to be great. Just don't shamelessly plug it like Gavin! 🤑
Your conflict with photography is unfortunately way too common but it is not just with photography. If you were a professional golfer, relationships can be very challenging. If you step back and look around to who you look up in the world of photography and then look at their personal life, complicated might be an understatement. Everyone must have their own priorities in life and those priorities can change. In fact, they often will change and it sounds like change might be on the horizon for you. The challenge I'm guessing is finding someone that allows you to have your space and at the same time shares that space. Enjoys the nomadic life of a world photographer. They may or may not be a photographer but would compliment you as a team. It is like setting up for a photo. You have the general idea of what you want to photograph but not exactly certain what that will be. You need to be flexible for the unexpected as I have found some of my best photographs are of the unexpected. If you don't step outside, it is hard to get that fantastic landscape photo. If you don't step out and make an effort to allow for the opportunity to meet the special person that completes you, you will have this complicated relationship. You have the world as your backyard. Where you spend much of your time in Canada is beautiful but don't limit yourself to finding that special person there. As a team, you would travel together, so home is a relative location. I will definitely caution you away from finding someone that will be anchored in one location while you are on your trips. That rarely works out, but I have friends that have a spouse in the military and they seem to make it work. Relationships are about give and take. That is true with photography or with people. You might want to step back and take a look at what is important to you ten allow that to happen. (I would not suggest forcing a situation but allowing it occur.) Your photos are fantastic and inspiring. Your videos add a specialness to your work.
I think you have a great plan set out for me! Haha!! All so true my friend. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I’ve read it all and it made me smile 💛🤗
Wow, it's true, you really do hate goodbyes. Don't say goodby then. Say, 'till we see each other again.' To your viewers say, 'Till next time.' That way you never say good bye again to anyone and your relationship with photography is less complicated because you will no longer associate photography with good bye. Just a thought.

@@sarahlyndsay well, one thing for sure, if you do find a partner who you can travel with and still enjoy being around, get a ring on that finger pronto!
I know a nice place for a yellow dress :-) Knudshoved Odde in Denmark, so if you ever stop by, this is a place to visit.
Denmark is on the list!! 💛😁
@@sarahlyndsay I miss you too lovely lady and that lovely ☺. Can't wait to catch up again
Thanks for taking the time to comment 💛🙏 I really appreciate it. It’s comforting to know that others are living the same way!
Love the Rockies.
It’s a magical place! 💛
Lol
One can be alone with a ton of people around.
Hair is highly overrated!!😂😂
Fun video ma lady!!
Hello good sir!!! Thank you so much for watching this video and leaving a nice comment as always. Somedays I want to be bald 😂
I would love to meet someone who has a love for photography!
Haha yep!!! I am a lady after all and know very well those instincts will kick it. It helps to talk about it… love all you guys! 💛
@@sarahlyndsay I love you too Ms. Sarah!

Don't worry about being single and lonely in life, everyone is lonely and looking for something, I'm 65 and bend single over half my life, relationships just don't work out for me but it's my life and I'm happy. 😊
I appreciate your thoughts!! 💛🙏
There may be a time when you can put photography on hold and concentrate on building a relationship with someone. Photography will always be there- relationships and having children --not necessarily so.
Think about what you want and whats important to you. You will figure it out. 😊
Appreciate the advice my dear. Truly! 💛🙏
I really appreciate it 💛🙏
i clicked on your video cause i thought you shockingly look so similar to Leah Remini from king of queens , but i am glad i stayed for the content as i do struggle with the same thing i find it a bit comforting to know it isn't just me
Awww thank you!! I am thrilled you are here!! 💛🙏
New subscriber! Beautiful video and beautiful images! Thanks for sharing your personal story! It’s very courageous of you. Your kindness and sense of humor truly shine and it’s only a matter of time until you click with someone. Many guys, especially me, need a slap in the face to wake up and recognize what they have in a partner in front of their face! The story of me and my wife after being together almost 20 yrs 😊 I’m routing for you! Greetings from Brooklyn!
Hello Matt from Brooklyn! So happy to have you here. Thank you for taking the time to watch and subscribe! Love the story of you and your wife 😁
Love your work and buy the drone I love mine!
Thank you!! I am excited to get my hands on the drone!! 💛
Good things will happen to nice people sarah...
I completely agree Keith! 💛 Kindness is infectious!
Thnx for sharing this story, I got really touched and emo sometimes with your stories. Keep it up, I will be your dutch friend for live.
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch. Thank you so much. I am always happy to share bits about my own journey 💛😁
@@sarahlyndsay Please do, I like this view in your life. 💕💗💖
Say bye James!.
Bye James! Lol. I don't know about you but I find it so hard to replicate the Venus Belt colours properly. I mean, close is easy. But just not the way I see it.
You need a traveling partner! Someone who loves travel and photos as much as you do, and does it as well!
I agree. Someone who can somewhat travel but also accept right now I’m in a season of life where I need to be on the move. Also hello!!! Picking up Ollie today! 💛
@@sarahlyndsay Yes!! Hi Ollie! If you're ever planning a trip (especially with Ollie) on a weekend near Sheep River Falls, drop me a line. I'll hike out with you!
Cheering for you
💛🙏
I know I’ve said it before but I love watching your videos. Beautiful pictures of an even more beautiful woman. Why didn’t you visit the Netherlands when you where in Europe ? Or is my flat country not on your list ? 😅
Thanks for watching!!! Of course the Netherlands is on the list. Wouldn’t miss your country for the world!!! 😍
@@sarahlyndsay so when are you planning on visiting the Netherlands?
Maybe all you have to do is find a great Canadian Photographer that loves doing the same thing you do and the rest is history. Like my grandmother would say "you make your bed, you sleep in it." why so secret about a location? Someone would recognize that building. Not all those who take pictures are a photographer and all those who wander are not lost.
I would DATE you for sure, Love your energy and ADVENTURES! I Live and PHOTOGRAPH IN NYC, if you are ever this way we can go shoot in some amazing places here in NY! Be well and stay safe.
I am flattered. When I come to New York again for sure we will shoot together! 💛
best one
💛🙏
Sorry you feel lonely sometimes. I hope that one day you will find the right partner and have the life that you want. Looks like your book is going to be great. Just don't shamelessly plug it like Gavin! 🤑
Hahaha!!! I may be annoying talking about the book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the first copy! 😂💛
(I would not suggest forcing a situation but allowing it occur.)
Your photos are fantastic and inspiring. Your videos add a specialness to your work.
I think you have a great plan set out for me! Haha!! All so true my friend. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I’ve read it all and it made me smile 💛🤗
Other question I have you're going to meet James but you end up meeting Dave, strange...
my camera bag is falling apart need a new one. on limited income (disability)
I’m sorry to hear 💛 I hope you subscribed to enter the giveaway.
@@sarahlyndsay yes i did. thank you
❤😢
Wow, it's true, you really do hate goodbyes. Don't say goodby then. Say, 'till we see each other again.' To your viewers say, 'Till next time.' That way you never say good bye again to anyone and your relationship with photography is less complicated because you will no longer associate photography with good bye. Just a thought.
That is some sound advice Robert!! 💛🙏
The person that let you get away will one day come to regret it deeply.
I appreciate you thinking that 💛🤗
Didn't know my crush is single 😐
