If have to go the supermarket, I change my outfit and brush my hair, and I clean my home every day. I used to do It for others validation. Now, with your coaching, I do cuz a cleaned house and a good looking aspect are a way to be disciplined and a manifestation of my inner elegance. Thank you Show Sensei 🙏
these daily videos are doing my mental health a lot of good. I've been dealing with some dark stuff from my past that's weighing me down spiritually, as well as trying to work on my health and career, and these are giving me the push I need each day. Thanks Sho
At some point (later) in this video, I relearned something that blew my mind. Self-love isn't the delusional "prideful status" but rather seeking the actual best for yourself in a way that is actually beneficial.
To be honest, ever since I started listening to these videos before bed, lying with headphones on and listening to his voice, I've slept better than I've ever slept in the last three nights.
It's okay to have compassion for yourself as you go through your journey of discovering and developing yourself but it's different from doing nothing at all.
I was in a job educating dog owners and helping them train their dogs for 8.5 years. I didn't realize how much I identified with it until I had to leave that job due to an injury. The following months were some of the most difficult to get through because I lost that identity. After a period of self isolation and rest - I also didn't realize how exhausted I was from that job - all I wanted to do was paint. I'm not as consistent as I'd like to be, but it's getting there. I certainly appreciate all the lessons learned, and these videos help alter my own perspective on events that have happened over the last few years.
Could you kindly write in Japanese the phrase 'take care of yourself' at the 10:16 minute, please? It's a beautiful saying that I would like to get tattooed, and I want to avoid any mistakes using a translator! ))
Perhaps it is our American collective deep-seated self loathing that makes a lot of us - as a rule- so shallow as to personify an ugly expression of self love. But please don't condemn us all.
First time you’ve lost me and made me want to turn the video off. I’m so tired of negative collective statements. It’s lazy and disrespectful to the many that don’t belong in that collective.
9:05 "You didn't spend anytime or energy to develop the foundation of who you are" (I needed to hear that)

it's gojiai kudasai. "go" is a prefix which makes the word more polite, "ji" meaning self and "ai" meaning love.
"ご自愛ください"
It’s ご自愛ください
It means please take care of yourself
御自愛is self-love in a very formal way to say
❤
