Thank you so very much for this video, what was the size of the pots you planted the plants in please, knowing I don’t have to replant my succulents is that are in 2.5 inch pots, makes a huge difference for me, i don’t have a lot of room in my condo and only west sunlight threw my patio window. So I purchased a ladder shelf which will do. It’s only 18 inches wide, but that was the only room I had for one an I added grow lights, hope it works out. Thanks again for your help 😊
Thank you 🙂 The original, plastic pots were 10cm/4" and the smaller mermaid was 7cm/2.7" and the blue with pink flowers was 6cm/2.3". As long as you don't mind them staying fairly small, they should be fine in 2.5". Happy growing💚💚💚
Has anyone else had luck just taking cuttings and putting them straight into soil? That’s the only way I’ve ever done it. I had no idea I was meant to be during out the cuttings first.
You don't have to dry out cuttings- they'll often be fine when you plant straight away. It's just advisable as the fresh wound is an easy gateway for soil dwelling bacteria and disease organisms to get into the plant. When you dry before planting a protective tissue layer (callus) will grow over the wound and make it harder for disease to get in. But it's not a must to dry..
Personally, i don't use it again for potted succulents because, most of the time, the old potting mix is depleted of nutrients. They have either been used up by the plant or washed out. IMO, if you reuse you should add some kind of fertilizer back in. I throw it in my compost which i then use around the garden.. Hope this helps 🙂
I'm binge watching your videos and repotting some of my plants. Thanks for the nudge 😊
Ahh, thanks so much ☺💚💚💚 Happy succulenting 😄🌵

@@SucculentGrowingTips Thankyou for the tips
Since there is so much old soil left after repotting, can we dry it and recycle the soil again.?
