Would you start Nwaneri Saturday?
Jip...how long is timber, white and raya out?
I'd continue with Trossard and really see how he does in a game where we dominate possession in the 8/10. Nwaneri definitely should get around 15/20 if we're comfortably up at the end.
why aren't you doing aftv watchalongs
@@IbbyB.he has a match ban from the red card.
I would start Nwaneri!
I was more impressed with lewis skelly, baller, Nwaneri is a talent but this needs to nurtured properly, he will get even better with more games
I think he should work on his duel winning
I was really impressed with Lewis looks mature under pressure
Lewis-Skelly looked fantastic! Both are going to the top!
I think the opposite. Nwaneri in the first half was the best player on the pitch even without the goals in my opinion. Both looked great though
Hey James, I think it was important for saka to play this game so that him and nwaneri gain that understanding that odegaard has!
Great point!
Good point
That's a fantastic comment mate...
Great point
Great point!!
Nwaneri has that thing where he seems to glide more than he runs. Idk if that makes sense, he looks so comfortable and confident on the pitch. I just get a real sense he could be special.
He has some Wilshere style in his game
Makes complete sense!
@@amakky1989 yeh thats exactly who I was thinking of
I was disappointed that we didn't find Nwaneri more, but my god the most impressive thing about him is the way he just glides and his ball retention. Knows when to up the gears and just pass back. Very clever, Arteta will love him.
And poor Porter, the one player we kept back for the counter was the slowest player alive, Uncle Jorginho 😂 It was fun watching him trying to get back haha.
Good night all around. Nothing amazing, but just a lovely night.
Watching him try his best to track back wad comedy😂
😂😂😂😂😂 Jorginho was tracking back
Jorginho was really good on the ball today. Cut through bolton like 7 times
Yeah you’re right top performance
Lewis Skelly really impressed me with how quick he could turn 😅
Ethan Nwaneri reminds me of young Jack Wilshere so much...
Nothing in style but v much so in confidence
Nahh more like Carl jenkinson
@@adliezan7186 Behave.
6:23 I never really understood why a lot of fans lost faith in kiwior, he played extremely well last year and showed some life on the left side when there was nothing there. Getting cooked by Sane sucks for sure, but by and large he is a really solid defender. I don’t mind seeing him get minutes.
Kiwior has and always being so solid, he’s a freaking centre back and wherever he plays in his natural cb position where he’s trained all his life he performs solid, he’s only poor. When played out of position which is normal, mean look back at all the games he played CB he was always good
was a major step up from holding when saliba was injured, and that was as RCB. He needs a chance to rest Gabriel - maybe build a partnership with White as RCB, if timber/tomi covers RLB
kaccuri was brought to the club by the same scout who spotted fabregas...
Arsenal face Preston in the Round of 16
I'll absolutely play nwaneri against Leicester. Along side Rice and Partey will do great. Kiwior looking good too. I wont even mind him coming alongside saliba if Gabriel need a break...
Thank God we have 6-7 LBs they are dropping like flies 😢
MLS was the best player among all the very impressive academy players. He can comfortably play multiple positions. His injury was just a shame; hopefully, it was nothing serious.
Miles Lewis skelly gheeeeeezzz
Nwaneri has similar qualities to Odegaard, the way he recieves the ball and turns in tight areas, his link up with Saka at times was Odegaard-esque. And he took both of his chances really well. I'd start him against Leicester.
Hi James excellent content as per usual.
Could you please do a show about Salah-Eddine. Me and the guys in our circle want to know a bit more about him. And we feel that you are the guy with the knowledge James.
We would be grateful if you did it.👊🏿👊🏽👊🏻
I have been asking about sallah eddine for ages, I mean he was the most excellent in pre season and now he doesn’t even get on the bench I mean it’s wild, I see him seldom in first team training but he’s not involved why ? Please James next time your up there just ask Arteta about him
Four debutants, another three players making their first start for the club, and two players scoring their first ever Arsenal goals. It was an excellent night for Arsenal, all told xD
No one's talking about josh nichols, such a great performance from him
Was looking for this comment. 100% agree
He was really good, but he was one of the players loosest with the ball. There was a period where you can see Kiwior not really wanting to pass to him later in the match.
Still a real live wire! Needs more coaching but talented
He was nervous
Bro jesus couldn't even score a goal Today where it was a free for all .. he hasnt scored a goal since January
Nwaneri's first touch, ball carrying and decision making is arguably already the best in the team at 17
First touch - havertz
Ball carrying - saka/martinelli/odegaard
Decision making - same or equal to saliba / saka
He's definitely up there in terms of the qualities you mentioned but i think we should give our seniors a bit more credit
@@bread-number_2 first touch he's already the best, his touch is perfect. Ball carrying Ødegaard is good but not nearly as good as Nwaneri. I think his only competition is Saka and even then it's a 50/50. Decision making he's on par with Saka, Rice and Havertz
Kids played one full game chill out
@@KadzMoESOPKPvP this isn't new and isn't based on this game
Don’t let them silence you cause you’re right lol. He’ll be on of our best players in a couple years time
Lewis-Skelly, Josh Nichols, Ethan Nwaneri. All played well. Even that Maldini Kacurri. Looks like a UNIT😂
Sterling looked really sharp.. I think he will be like Havertz once he gain some confidence he will be a goal scoring threat. I would start him for the weekend and rest Saka for PSG.
Very good game by both but certainly there are areas of improvement for both, particularly for skelly, who btw defensively was grea
Coyg ive great confirdence in this cup i picked most of these plyers tonight apart from the albanian whoever he was??? Perfect blend n the plyers who plyed on sunday lookec fresh as fook it just shows these pl footballers level of fitness im sick of plyers like son moaning about to many games etc how the fck has spuds got to many games lol n son wasnt in euro’s hes on the rodri babdwagon!!! Plzed were at home for a cpl games now james much needed COYG!! Just wish we got a scorer in the summer n an attacking plyer as cover for any of postions cam rw lw n wen i mean cover i mean we need a bench gud enuff to get in 1st 11 at any given chance 🫡🫡
Salah-Eddin played 90 mins the day before otherwise i think we see him
The other reason I like the starting lineup is that it keeps the senior players who didn’t get work on Sunday in the game to keep the timing and match fitness.
Time for Nwaneri to get regular game time either starting or coming on in the last 30 minutes
i knew ethan would be good when i first seen him last season. he will shine remmeber this
Kiwior was excellent.
Give us the city away.
Jesus is finished at a professional level
Honestly. I think he is. He needs to go. Arsenal can't offer him a new contract.
So quick to judge.
Two full seasons isn’t quick
@@masonasa7009 what is his data for the past Two season?
Your role is fans, let the coach play his role.
Skelly got groin injury
How do you know
how arteta gets experience with the youngsters to protect them coach them and give them confidence is so amazing. Mikel has probably been very battle ready - this guy moved 3 countries in about 5 years. He came in after 8-2 - I don't think that is lost on him either, experienced or younger, you have to help each other as you fight for the badge. It was so good to see the youngsters also have the mentality - their evolution on the tactical side is happening as we speak with all of the coaching we give them, but coaching is just behind the scenes, the player has to make decisions that their technique allows them. Mikel and Jorginho are the best examples, maybe limited physically, but they can coach how to make those decisions for players. Great stuff again James!
NGL seeing ESR, Nketiah and Nelson go made me wonder what the Academy was for.
Now, hopefully we benefit from the players we have raised.
#justsayin'
Thank you James, i always enjoy your Arsenal analyses. it's like attending Goonerversity!!!!
One thing, let's NOT get carried with #Nwaneri he's #legally still a child and doesn't need overexposure.
I trust The Boss will handle him with #care going forward.
And just like that Lewis-Skelly is injured. The Arsenal curse got him early
Love to see this channel growing so quickly James, you absolutely deserve it.
I think that's Ethan's super power, his finishing. It's crazy how often he gets into goal scoring positions. Myles was my MOTM though.
Hi James great show mate surely Ethan and myles need to play on Saturday great talent.
So so impressed with NWanieri. His ease and smoothness on the ball, and his eye for goal . Loved the way he takes responsibility . Perfect understudy for Odegaard .
Nwaneri shd break into the team.he is the best version of odegaard in our team
We got Bolton nxt , so more first team mins for youngers
Nigeria better go try convincing Nathan Nwaneri to play for the senior National Team NOW, before England uses him in qualifiers and then dumped for main competition, ultimately ruining his national career.
He played some youngsters but also used subs to spread minutes around the senior players. I liked that.
Genuine question...Sterling got in behind quite often. We keep saying that Martinelli and the left side is not clicking however is it a case of Martinelli not willing to run in behind or the inverted wing back not willing to play that pass that Zinny/Lewis-Skelly will play
Calafiori looked a little shaky at CB. Looked a lot more comfortable at LB. Seemed like he tried to join the attack too often at CB
let's hope pl teams don't report arsenal for child labour
Lewis Kelly is exactly like Rico Lewis so intelligent
Had a rough day at work and on the drive home I was able to relax and enjoy this video. Thank you very much James.
Califiori is a midfielder in my eyes, he is a better defender than Zinchenko but he is also a midfielder in his desire to go front, and not the better defender compared to Timber!

As soon as Odegaard went down, Ethan shoulda started
It's not always going to come off. But that doesn't mean u don't try!
Can we please stop saying Jesus done okay or well. He was crap again. Sell him and get someone better.
One little skill vs a team 19th in league one is shocking
Start him. The sooner he beds in and gets comfortable, the better it will be for our club!
porter at 16 catches crosses better than vicario
Nwaneri is the next Starboy⭐️
Do You Love me
Whats the latest update on timber, raya and white???
They are all fine. Maybe Raya cant made it for Saturday
There were several experiments that needed to be done this game, and almost every single one was positive, so thats what im happiest about.
Ethan & MLS - how would they do with first team football? They were the highlights and the look very close to premier league ready
Josh Nichols - same question. good game, but still needs a little more work. Needs a bit more coaching and more power in defense.
Sterling - Can he integrate well with the rest of the first team and show his qualities? This game really highlighted his capabilities. Great runs, good takeons, good positioning for his and the havertz goal.
Calafiori - still solid, yet a big maverick on the ball. Hes getting very comfortable, but it does leave a weakness at the back when he goes.
Kiwior - real solid in Saliba's role, the calm to Calafiori's storm. But also was aggressive when shifted to lb, making some exciting runs. Very flexible tactically, good backup.
Jesus - Can he rediscover his form? First half was tough to watch, but 2nd half he started to grow into the game. Lovely nutmeg against 2 defenders even when he lost a shoe to setup the Havertz goal.
Rice, Saka, and Jorginho the stalwarts to knit those questions together. Real real positive night
