@@JBspherefreak yeah I can imagine. All I will say is if shulk and rex were around to see melia and nia doing what they are doing , there would be serious discussions and arguments that's all I will say
I thought the same thing, but immediately after I thought, if you have to keep waging war and fight to keep the world from being destroyed, wouldn't it mean that the world is destroyed? What difference does such a way of living have to actual destruction? XC3 Spoilers Then it turned out that's basically one of its themes.
You know I have a theory: Just like you said the conduit is gone and clearly the world of xeno 1 and 2 merged and it was cataclysmic, remember that klaus altered way much more than just 2 different world. Maybe melia and nia need the crazy amounts of ether to prevent other dimensions from merging into their world and perhaps destroying it. They're taking the place of the conduit in a sense. The tattoos maybe be the way they extract the life out of the clones. I also think that blades and humanoids still exist, and that oroboros are basically successful Guldos, people and blades merged together. This explains why the villains power is called mobius. A mobius is a 3d plane twisted in such a way that is consists of only one surface. The villains are made in such a way that they can achive oroboros by themseleves because they are and are not both sides of the same coin. This reminds me of the blade eaters and the ending of torna the golden country and whatever that monstrosity was xD My guess is that they'll have to find a way to bring the conduit back or use another "xenoblade" to perform something similar so that they can prevent the world from ending.
After playing the game, you were right with most of the info you were able to compile, although some of them turned out to be more like a good guess, it's better that you all experience it for yourselves, it was an amazing story full of plot twists and good writing, and I hope when the additional content comes out we get to develop the story even more
My theory on why the Queens and Consuls are maintaining the war. In FC we see the rift was able to be closed through dozens of telethia diving into the rift, their life energy shutting it. When a person dies in Aionios, some of their life may go into Ferronis-es, but most of it goes back to the world outside of Aionios. There, it is used to close the rifts constantly popping up, which if left unchecked, would kill everyone. The Consuls get power in this process for some reason, perhaps to fight back any dangerous Fog King like monsters that show up. With this power, they can also stop people from ending the war in Aionios, so the rest of the world can keep living. I doubt that everyone in the Consul has purely benevolent motives though, some probably just signed up for the immortality and power, but don't care about the rest of their duties.
The rifts could just be the early signs of the dimensions or worlds starting to merge, because the fog king was kind of a Guldo from morytha. Maybe the merging almost killed averyone and there trying to generate as much ether as they can to maintain the state the conduit had the world in, preventing a total convergence of worlds
A couple of these idea's do make a lot of sense (And make it sound like X and Mira 😉) but we'll have to see the purpose of the Ether for now. I don't think everyone would have necessarily died tho
The consul talking about fate leads me to believe there's is defintely an time loop and that there may be consequences in the past for trying to change fate which is why the war is so important. Maybe N tried to change fate in the previous time loop and it led to the world becoming worst and that is the reason for the war: to prevent the world from becoming even worse or outright dying by putting it into an endless cycle.
It's possible! There's a concept in Xenosaga called the Eternal Recurrence which is basically the whole of existence being stuck in a loop so it's possibly something like that
I like the XCX stuff. Interesting thing about one of the characters introduced btw, Gray who is a hero of Keves is called by the title Full Metal Jaguar, which was Elmas class in XCX. He honestly looks like a XCX character too.
Cuz they wear... "RED armor" :D Jokes aside could the final boss be a "Deus" like figure? I don't think it's a super computer but maby something more akin to the fog king but far worse.
I like the idea that Galea returns for some reason and concludes her's and Klaus' story but now, I feel like someone else should be the real final enemy
That thing about Melia and Nia could work but I think that it´s more likely that since Either is the materia of this universe they´re taking it from dead people and still use it as an energy source but keep it on the flame clocks to have better chances of winning the war or to keep their world from collapsing
my theory is: Nia, Melia, & the Consul are running this scam war for a power source, as you said, using clones of themselves and other "real people" as soldiers. They are the only "real people" among Keves, Agnes, & the Lost Numbers; everyone else is clones. Noah is a clone of N, Mio might be a clone of Nia, and maybe the Keves party's childhood friend is a clone of that one Consul guy (that way we get the reveal without messing with the weight of life message). Rather than simple power for machinery though; I think the life energy is being used to extend life spans as we first thought, just not the clone soldiers. It's actually being used to keep the "real people" from the XC1 & XC2 universes alive. Perhaps whoever the final antagonist is (maybe cracked-face man) did something funky with the lifespans of all mortal races of the world(s), forcing a few people to run this whole war operation to keep everyone from all dying by literally growing more years for them. It'd be something of a neat twist, I think. That kind of tomato in the mirror reveal where the MCs are lie clones made to harvest organs from, except the people to receive those organs are actually the entire casts of the first 2 games we already care about. Also bonus points if it means not only could Shulk & Rex appear in present day, maybe talking Melia & Nia into pulling the plug & ending the war or something, but maybe they were involved in the events where the lifespans got all funky and the scam war started up; meaning they'd be playable in this games Torna DLC equivalent we're getting in 2023. Their weapons did appear on the Season pass thing; that does imply they'll be not only involved in the story, but perhaps somehow playable (or at least available as heroes).
Interesting idea's! My idea of them being on low on energy is kinda just a place holder tbh, the main idea is that there are other people out there who are relying on this war for some reason. I admittedly don't think Shulk & Rex will be or should still be around tho. That said, I do think we'll get them as DLC for the extra story you mentioned
4:03 There is obviously no link whatsoever but the design of the dead people look a ton like the design of the people that got infected in "Eded : it's an endless word" and knowing this was as famous as Evangelion and that it inspired from it and that Xenoblade 3 seems to be inspired by Evangelion for the Ouroboros designs (and also of XCX armors), Monolith soft might be taking inspiration in it., even more when you know that Eden talks as much as Evangelion of religion (and we all know Monolith soft's relation with religion)
I disagree with the fat Consul member being the green haired kid, it makes no sense timeline-wise, as if the kid had survived to present day, he'd also be 18 alongside Noah, and there's no way that Consul member is only 18, considering his general height, the 'wise old owl' archetype he's been given, and the fact he has the voice of someone in their 40s at the earliest, even through the voice filter. If he is to be related to the green haired kid, it'd make more sense for the kid to have been cloned from him, and he's the original.
I think it is cos I kinda think it looks like him and there's a few different ways to do it but a different or older version of him might be more accurate
i haven’t really seen anyone talk about the dlc cover. if you look at in the eshop you can see the monado from future connected and pyras sword. i hope that’s confirmation shulk and pyra/mythra will be coming back.
I think the first chapter of the game will be with kid Noah and his friends, ending with their Green haired friend dying. We've seen a sizeable amount of footage of them as kids, all without any sort of flashback filter. Pretty sure the "winged" Consul is not Eunie, cause they're so short.
The game was fantastic but left me with couple of questions. For example who invented the offseer melodies and why in the first place. If an offseer plays the melody, the essence is not part of the cycle anymore (I think?). If offseers do that for centuries, shouldnt the armies shrink again and again? I doubt Moebius would want this at all
They do return to the cycle when sent off, perhaps the release of their essence/motes is actually what triggers the generation of a new version of that person, since one character was already grown back in a certain place after being sent off right after a big fight, when the party was already on their way there even. The only ways they don't return that I can remember off the top of my head is becoming Moebius (and dying) or reaching your homecoming and being sent off then. I do wonder how Noah and Mio came into existence in the first place, considering N and M. I mean as far as I'm aware they're the only instance of two versions of the same person existing at the same time. Also I don't know if being Ourobouros has something to do with it since I don't think N and M were Ouroboros before becoming Moebius, and as far as I remember, we don't see any Ouroboros actually die. I guess the people of the City may be some evidence that they don't come back, since they are Ouroboros descendants but.. Too little info on them for now I suppose. Maybe the DLC will shed some light on the specifics but eh, who knows. I kind of doubt it though. :)
@@KilleRoy_NL at least guiding the dead was kinda unclear to me, like the dead bodies you find all over the place. Sending them off, what does that mean?
