Shannon.. Seriously. You thought we would not watch your channel if you gutted and restored a home!?! You are not a teenage toc-ticker looking for quick views, or a channel dedicated to being an asshat. We love your content for you and the creativity and inspiration. 🎉🎉much love and support! And I demand more corgi floof content. ❤
Shannon, Staying on "Shannon Makes" is a good decision. The channel is a representation of you, your philosophy of life and ecology and of creativity. I love your approach to sewing. I look forward to seeing what you do to restore your house. As you said, it's a new adventure! Congratulations.
Oooo...so exciting! Congratulations on your new house and LOVE the idea of seeing the transformation. Most of us are makers - and just love watching other makers! Sewing, knitting, restoration etc!!! Bring it on!
Since the name of the channel is Shannon MAKES, not Shannon SEWS, I always figured any kind of making is fair game. I've loved your reuse projects, like your sewing table.
I dont think Shannon can fothom how excited i am to see AN ENTIRE OLD HOUSE RENOVATION?? Gosh i didnt think i could like her channel more! Crafting and renovations are my favorite things to watch 🥰
The thing I love most about your channel is that you call it Shannon Makes. And I love that open-ended mentality because it makes me go, "Oooh, what's Shannon gonna make today?" It makes me excited to see your updates! So I'm looking forward to what's up next
Would love to see the trunk restoration videos! Also can't wait for the house renovation journey! Came to your channel for the sewing content but I stayed for your innovate, creative, sustainable and just fun approach to all crafts :)
Can't wait - Maker's gotta make, as a fellow creative I can't think of a person with similar interests who "only sews" or "only knits", this new development is truly exciting. Remember this is UA-cam - it's all about You!
it might be called UA-cam, but if there's one thing I've learned in three years of making videos, it's that growing a successful channel is far more nuanced than "make good video about me and put it on the channel" 😭😭😭 I appreciate your support and enthusiam though, thank you!!
Yay for you! That's so exciting, and I'm definitely in for the journey with you! So much more space to adopt old furniture off the streets, to make for the sake of making the house nice and cozy instead of just sewing for content... I'm sure you're going to have the best time.
I suspect that there will be a good deal more dirt, grime and reality on my channel than on those shows BUT (never having watched them myself), I could be wrong!
Not going NOWHERE!!!! I love old house restorations, refurbishing furniture, and above all, sewing. So, I have the popcorn ready, and I'm so excited!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations!!! And please please PLEASE! Don’t stress… we love you and all the content that you make. I’m SO excited for your house and Reno projects. I actually found you because of your up-cycling and stayed because you’re a lovely human being.
I’m here for the long haul. I watch because of your penchant for using whatever you can find/scavenge first before heading to the store. I’m looking forward to seeing how you fix up the house. Congratulations to you and may you make the home you want.
Congratulations! How exciting for both you and us! I think makers are drawn to challenges like renovations, so dont be scared that you'll disapoint your viewers. Also, I pick channels to watch more based on the maker, than what they are doing/making in each video. You are an inspiration, regardless of weather you are making a priate shirt or building a sewingroom, so you go girl! Very exciting news!
Congratulations on the new old house. I'm looking forward to seeing as many moments of house restoration as you can film. there is plenty of sewing to do to make a house look homey. What ever you can share with your viewers I will be watching.
What I’ve learned just as viewer is that people who like arty, crafty, makey things like all sorts in that space, so many of the channels I watch have diverged and crossed over into different crafts, like so many of them are now sewing channels despite having started as something else
Oh Shannon, how exciting! I’m a 75 year young crafter/maker/artist in Pointe-Claire, QC who stumbled on your channel about a year ago and subscribed immediately. Having renovated a 1930’s fixer-upper duplex in NDG many years ago because it was all I could afford as a single parent and now still fixing a much newer but more shoddily built townhouse here, and refurbishing furniture, sewing for it, etc.I so admire and identify with your multi-faceted « can-do » attitude👍🏼. The glimpses of your house at the end of this video show the beauty, charm and potential that rightfully led to your buying it. And having visited Nova Scotia myself and loving it, I’m curious to know in what part of the province your house is situated??? I’m also thinking that your viewers might like to accompany you on day trips as you explore your new surroundings, much as I loved your videos of exploring and dumpster-diving for fabric while abroad😊. Best wishes on your new adventure! You can relax now, we’re with you 😘
Thank you! I actually do not plan on disclosing where the house is, for the moment - there are too many creeps out there on the internet for me to want them knowing where we live, especially since we still travel a lot for work, and leave the house empty for chunks of time... doesn't seem like a good idea for the whole wide world to know where we live 🤣
I just discovered your channel, and I was several episodes in before I realized it was mostly sewing! I found you to be so earnest and enchanting that I was hooked no matter what you did. I love sewing and dogs and circus acts and travel and gardening and old houses and……learning about everything! I watch UA-cam almost exclusively, and find it a fascinating sociological phenomenon. Viewers begin to feel that they know the UA-camrs, and care deeply about them, and really want to know about their lives. Your fans will not abandon you! We are all anxiously waiting to see what you do with that beautiful old house!
As a lurker (seriously, I think this may be my first UA-cam comment ever), I would like to say that I am THRILLED about this! I’ve fallen down the home-reno UA-cam rabbit hole so even if I didn’t use the subscriptions tab (which I do), the almighty algorithm would still push your videos to the top, like it did this one. And at the risk of sounding a bit parasocial, part of what brings me back to your channel over and over is because of who you are and how that manifests in your videos and projects. I love watching you be creative, resourceful, meticulous, and enterprising! I’m so excited to watch your journey and thankful that you’ve invited us along for the ride.
I am so excited for you. I love watching strong women who have enough guts to take on a renovation and the fact that you are bringing back and saving an old house is a bonus. I am a sewer and I like watching those videos too. Congratulations on your new old house.!!!!❤
Congratulations on the new house. We have watched you make things - the sewing table comes to mind immediately. It all fits into the title of Shannon Makes.
Congratulations! I love corset cookies, pep talks, fainting couches, and fabric store shopping. With hauls! Street scavenging on moving day(which I'll miss, and I bet you will too!) I love sweing, sewingroom tours, I love home renovating, but mostly, love YOU! I can't wait! I wish you all the luck in this new journey, and please don't burn out.
Oh Shannon, this is fantastic. You are embarking on an amazing adventure! I love watching your furniture recycle videos and I've been missing those. I'm glad you are keeping all your creations in one place. Shannon makes clothes; Shannon makes costumes; Shannon makes furniture; Shannon makes a home...
I have just liked a whole bunch of comments because they all reflect my thoughts exactly. Since watching you dumpster dive I have brought some things in from the streets in the Netherlands and am so pleased with them and myself. So yeah! Came for the sewing and am staying for everything else. Congratulations on a beautiful home❤
Definitely sticking around! We have an almost 90 year old house that needs some repairs/minor renovations and any inspiration and motivation I can get from watching your journey will be awesome. Plus, I'm Canadian and want to support fellow Canadians! Congratulations on the house!
Congratulations! I too have/had a dream of fixing up an old house. Since I am now 70. I think it won’t happen in this lifetime. But…. I can now do it vicariously through you. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!❤
We have recently renovated a house from 1942. We are almost done, we will be moving in 2-3 months. I am a sewist and I like your content, but I can soooo relate with renovations, that I would be thrilled to watch you on your journey. I also love gardening, so if you have some of that, bring that in! Good luck!
Congratulations!!! Super exciting!!! My first question was: What about Phil? My second question was: What about that "moving day, recycling binge" thing that happens in Montreal? Nova Scotia is beautiful, so happy for you, and there is just nothing better than an old house; so much character, workmanship and details you just won't find in new houses. The name of your channel is Shannon MAKES... not shannon does fiber arts. Honestly, I've missed your foraging for stuff videos, your build videos, I love your sewing videos, but, I think your other videos are super inspirational for women. Shannon knows her way around knitting needles and a sewing machine..... but she can also use a table saw, jigsaw, hammer, nail gun, drill.... yeppers. Looking forward to the new content, what an adventure. Be well, have fun. Oh, would love to see those trunk restoration videos.
Oh wow! congratulations! I am so happy for you, and really excited to be able to watch along as you take us on this next adventure! I have always loved your restoration videos, and I love home reno personally, so this is going to be so much fun!! Also, please thank Phil for me... that tiny clip of his 'hello' had my laughing so hard I I still have tears in my ears, and I of course had to rewatch it to enjoy it a second time. Oh, and I would love to watch you restore antique trunks!!!
I'm so happy for you. Anything you want to post is great! I love watching and learning anything crafting. So post away my dear I'm here for it. Again congratulations on your new home!!!!
Oh! The bay windows! I cant wait to see your renovations! I grew up in a house built in 1902. It had foot wide door jambs with grand moulding, the living room was about 25' x 20' with a floor to ceiling front window spanning the length, many other lovely details. Yours will be such a labor of love. Shannon Makes a House! 💜💛
That wood floor is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve never quite seen one done like that before. There are other quilters that I watch who have gone through natural disasters and lost their homes and moved around and they’ve shared all of that on their quilting channel. So if you’re someone who’s really interested in peeking into a UA-camrs life, you stick with them know matter what. I think it’s a good decision to keep the content all on one channel.
Congratulations on a new home! Waiting for all the renovations videos. And I don't know about others, but I'm mostly here for personality and not just sewing content, so just do whatever makes you happy ;)
Shannon Makes a Home? Count me in. I watch you for your energy and all your fun crafting and adventures. A house is just a big crafting adventure. I am a crafter, i woodwork, i paint, i did do some metal work in the past, and i sew, knit, crochet and do all kinds of crafts, does not matter what. And i watched all your different content. I am looking forward to all you give us. Also, congrats on the new house. 🎉
Sounds wonderful! I am looking forward to all the different kind of crafts and house renovation video's. I like watching your vids because of your energy and how you find your way through a project. Congrats on the new house, the adventure and the possibilities this creates for you!
I think it’s going to be exciting having all of your talents displayed on this channel. I love old houses, and have always dreamed of restoring one. Let the adventures continue! ❤
Oh my goodness! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Your floors, your stairs, the marble hearth….. so dreamy. And the disarray…….? So relatable! My partner and I live in a very modest 1920s craftsman cottage that keeps is busy with repair snd restoration projects. So I’ll be a very appreciative viewer!
We are so excited to watch you restore your new home! My husband and I just visited Nova Scotia last summer. We visited Halifax, Little Bras D’or, Cape Breton, and Cheticamp. I am happy to watch all you care to post including sewing and restoring items and your home. Cathy from St Petersburg, FL
Shannon..

I am SO HERE for the trunk video and house restoration videos!
Me, too!I love restorations.

Found you a few weeks ago and love all the things!

Yup just found you! Staying for all your content! 😊
More videos? Yes!!! I would love to learn more skills from your videos.
You're still making things, which is exactly why I watch. It's your attitude that makes it worthwhile!
I’m excited to see more of your artistic endeavors
Can't wait - Maker's gotta make, as a fellow creative I can't think of a person with similar interests who "only sews" or "only knits", this new development is truly exciting. Remember this is UA-cam - it's all about You!

Yeah! Congratulations on your new home. What a wonderful new adventure. Can't wait.
Yay for you! That's so exciting, and I'm definitely in for the journey with you! So much more space to adopt old furniture off the streets, to make for the sake of making the house nice and cozy instead of just sewing for content... I'm sure you're going to have the best time.
I am very excited for the home reno content!!!! I love sewing, but I truly love all things crafty!
I remember dog couch construction and garden glasshouse makeovers with fondness so...bring it on!
I subscribed after watching the corgi chaise lounge vid. Epic !
Omg!! Yes!!! I love house renovations!
Someone who grew up on both extreme makeover home, edition, and project runway. I am so here for this.
I suspect that there will be a good deal more dirt, grime and reality on my channel than on those shows BUT (never having watched them myself), I could be wrong!
Congratulations!!!! Looking forward to your sharing of your wider talents!!!
So Shannon makes a Home? Perfect! I‘m excited for and with you.

I am insanely excited to watch this unfold!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
All my favourite sewing youtubers are buying and renovating their new homes!
Hoping for this to be a foreshadowing if my future.
Congratulations on the new old house. I'm looking forward to seeing as many moments of house restoration as you can film. there is plenty of sewing to do to make a house look homey. What ever you can share with your viewers I will be watching.

This is fantastic news as far as I am concerned! Love watching all of you videos, no matter what you are up to.
so so glad you kept it all on one channel - and congrats on the house
Hi Shannon
I absolutely love reno videos. Congratulations on your new home.
Thank you so much 🤗
I just discovered your channel, and I was several episodes in before I realized it was mostly sewing! I found you to be so earnest and enchanting that I was hooked no matter what you did. Yes, please, for whatever Shannon makes!
As a lurker (seriously, I think this may be my first UA-cam comment ever), I would like to say that I am THRILLED about this! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰 I love it when lurkers come out to leave a comment, it always makes me extra tickled!
Shannon, we're all with you. Sew? Yes! Tile a bathroom? Yes also. YOU are the brand, not what you do and we love YOU.
Congratulations on the “new” house. I bought a 1912 house 3 years ago and had so much fun renovating.
I love this change! Keep embracing your many ways of making and good luck with all your projects.
I am so excited for you. I love watching strong women who have enough guts to take on a renovation and the fact that you are bringing back and saving an old house is a bonus. I am a sewer and I like watching those videos too. Congratulations on your new old house.!!!!❤

Welcome to the east coast! Can't wait to see more of the house and what you do with it!
Congratulations! I love corset cookies, pep talks, fainting couches, and fabric store shopping. With hauls! Street scavenging on moving day(which I'll miss, and I bet you will too!) This house looks VERY FABULOUS.
Congratulations. I'm excited for you and for us. 😊
I'm all about all sorts of crafts and reno so I'm here for it.
Definitely sticking around! We have an almost 90 year old house that needs some repairs/minor renovations and any inspiration and motivation I can get from watching your journey will be awesome. Plus, I'm Canadian and want to support fellow Canadians!

We have recently renovated a house from 1942. We are almost done, we will be moving in 2-3 months.
I have always loved your restoration videos, and I love home reno personally, so this is going to be so much fun!!

thank you!! ❤️😊❤️
I found you channel with a dumpster dive in Copenhagen. Your channel is all about you. The sewing is a bonus.its about makes...and Camel
