@Jamie Butterworth Yes! It came out mid November on disney+. Idk why they didn't push it more although I don't remember them advertising the first one very well either. It's always been one of their most underrated films imo!
I absolutely loved it. It stayed true to all the characters and added even more depth. The songs were so great too! I cried in the first one because of the motherly love from Giselle to Morgan and cried again in this one for the same reason. Thank you Disney! Wonderful job.
Can't we finally be excited that Idina Menzel's Nancy Tremaine finally gets to sing in _Disenchanted_ after she wasn't given nor did she actually sang in the first film. Plus, the glimpses of the 2D Animation done by Tonic DNA looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing this on November 18.
Idina was actually really happy to get the role because since Nancy never sung in the first film, she knew that she was getting hired for her acting talents and not because of her voice. Not complaining if she sings here though.

OMG I’m so excited for this, the twist cause In fairytales Stepmom’s are usually brilliant, genius. And Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph fighting for who’s the better evil queen is something I didn’t know I needed
See why this looks like it’s going to work so well is because they took the first script and flipped everything on its head. I wish more sequels would do this. a brand new story that harkens back to the old one without just doing a redo
Yeah. The first movie poked fun of fairytales and their various by putting a Disney princess in the real world and seeing how there's more to life than "happily ever after." The sequel does the same tongue in cheek humor, but in a different way, poking fun of the evil stepmom trope by having the main character slowly turning evil due to being the stepmom in a fairytale life.
I really love the Nancy seems to be getting a bigger role in this one-especially after her seemingly ooc choice to abandon her life to go to Andalasia to marry Edward after knowing him for 0.2 seconds. Really looking forward to her being fleshed out and getting the nuance all the other characters get!
there were a couple of deleted scenes that gave nancy more depth and even a scene that somewhat explained about being with edward at the end. I do like how this film does a 180 where the first film the characters of andalsia struggle with how real world works thus put into situations out of their comfort zone whilst everyone else is of course in their comfort zone whilst in this film it's the complete opposite where the characters of the real world struggle with how the fairytale world works and might end up being more tropey then andalsia in which Edward and Nancy come across as more normal then everyone else because they aren't affected by the curse
Was it ooc? They kinda hint throughout that she longs for romance and spontaneity so after everything that happened it makes sense she'd be like fuck it and take a chance 😂
I love how they paired the spares at the end and you know what? They are perfect together!! Just like how Gieselle and Robert are. I'm glad each couple ended up with the right people! :D

@@kbraven7007 well it's a thought I had from watching the first trailer that came out obviously the wish or curse that she put on the people here by wishing that things were more like a fairy tale people are acting in their roles of a fairy tale and Giselle is a stepmother and it is always a common role for the stepmother to be evil so by wishing the place was more like a fairy tale Giselle unwillingly made herself evil because it's the role she has in her real life Stepmother + fairy tale = evil Now in this trailer we also see that Giselle is having some sort of magical duel with another character who is probably the actual villain of the story and Giselle seems to be fighting against her it might be a type of Giselle is acting Wicked but in her heart she's still a princess so she might be using her bad to do good in this duel with the villain sort of like a find The Light Within the darkness
I'm actually excited for this, I usually hate sequels but in this case I'm giving it a chance.. I may be 31yo but I still appreciate a good Disney movie and the original was really good, I really liked seeing Amy use her talents as a singer and also as an actress as I've always felt that she did an amazing job and feel that she's more than mere actor, she's truly talented.. and I have to add in James Marsden in that because he is also very talented, I've seen him do everything from kids movies to horror, to sci-fi, even crime, he can do it all and I don't think he gets the recognition he deserves

The part where Edward and Nancy come to visit is my favorite part of the trailer 😆😄 It's so nice to see them all together again. I hope the movie will be nice too...
I feel like Giselle turning into the antagonist would have been a good twist in the actual movie, but like movie trailers in Hollywood today, all the big moments are spoiled in the trailers

Enchanted is in my top 3 Disney movies list. I was not looking forward to this trailer, but now, after watching it, it seems like they are trying something fresh. I'm optimistic.
I LOVE Enchanted and was all prepared to be so critical of this movie BUT they didn't ruin it!!! They didn't ruin it. True story. I was so glad that they didn't make Giselle bitter, or make the new movie a critique who she is/was. And the fact that the main story line was about a real relationship between a step parent and her kid was actually kinda moving. Way to go & thanks!
Makes sense though, she was in a world where singing out of nowhere is seen as crazy. Not to mention she was a business woman with a fashion line and would be out of place if she sang about her feelings out of nowhere. The only people who should burst out a musical every other hour did, aka Giselle and Edward. They came from a magical land where animals talk and fairytale creatures exist.

The transition from blushing bride(princess) to mother can indeed be very disenchanting and it's refreshing to see it addressed; I will definitely be watching this one.
It brings me so much joy that Nancy sings in this movie! I've waited fifteen years for that!
Some things are just worth waiting for. And in the end, everything works out in the end.
Yesss! Love Idina Menzel!
I can't wait to see Amy Adams' performance here! I always find it impressive when an actor can pull off 2 completely different personalities in the same movie/show, like Oscar Issac in Moon Knight earlier this year, so seeing Amy still have that super-optimistic personality in the beginning, while also pulling off that classic evil-stepmother role is just... sooooo good!
You need to watch Orphan Black then, my friend.
I couldn't have agree with you more and I absolutely cannot wait to Amy go over to the darkside , so looking forward to this
I want Giselle to join the Disney Princess line up so bad. There must be something u can work out Disney
But she’s not Disney princess

It's probably because of the bold mix of live action and animation! I love Enchanted so much!!

@@g.Raider It makes sense for her to sing in Disenchanted. In Enchanted, she came from our New York that doesn't burst out into song. But at the end, she moved to Andalasia with Prince Edward! With the time jump, I wouldn't doubt that she picked up his habit (and the Andalasian way in general) of singing at every possible opportunity

I'm not quite sure what you mean? Sorry, me not very smart aha! Can you explain?
Yeah.
The first movie poked fun of fairytales and their various by putting a Disney princess in the real world and seeing how there's more to life than "happily ever after."
The sequel does the same tongue in cheek humor, but in a different way, poking fun of the evil stepmom trope by having the main character slowly turning evil due to being the stepmom in a fairytale life.
@@bryanegelhoffsanimationtec257
Oooooh! I think I get it now! I like that!
Nancy and Edward singing together❤ They’re such a cute couple) We didn’t get nearly enough of them in the first one…
I love how they paired the spares at the end and you know what? They are perfect together!! Just like how Gieselle and Robert are. I'm glad each couple ended up with the right people! :D

P.s I CALLED IT because Giselle is a stepmom she's going to become a villain
Top Gun Maverick is literally the biggest movie of this year but go off I guess
@@Danbo22987 literally has nothing to do with what op said.
So basically Giselle is basically pulling a Wandavision move over here
@@kbraven7007 well it's a thought I had from watching the first trailer that came out obviously the wish or curse that she put on the people here by wishing that things were more like a fairy tale people are acting in their roles of a fairy tale and Giselle is a stepmother and it is always a common role for the stepmother to be evil so by wishing the place was more like a fairy tale Giselle unwillingly made herself evil because it's the role she has in her real life
Stepmother + fairy tale = evil
Now in this trailer we also see that Giselle is having some sort of magical duel with another character who is probably the actual villain of the story and Giselle seems to be fighting against her it might be a type of Giselle is acting Wicked but in her heart she's still a princess so she might be using her bad to do good in this duel with the villain sort of like a find The Light Within the darkness

It's really nice to see everyone playing the same actors, I watched the trailer with a smile, especially the first parts 😊
