tbh i’ve been having really bad hormonal acne (due to messing up my cycle by not taking my birth control consistently, oops) but not bad enough to take accutane.

whats your skin type?? im so scared to try oil cleansing! i have dehydrated sensitive oily skin and I'm scared I'll get more acne!
@@noidea599 i have sensitive combo skin, the trick is to use an oil cleanser that emulsifies completely in water (look up videos / reviews!). i like the heimish all clean balm personally. you might find that oil cleansing actually helps to balance out your oily skin! but if you're nervous, just make sure to do a thorough yet gentle second cleanse to remove any leftover cleansing balm / cleansing oil. i use either a gentle foaming cleanser if i was wearing makeup, or non-foaming if my skin is feeling really stressed out- but most nights i just do an oil cleanse alone, using a silicone scrubber to emulsify everything completely before i rinse with cool water. hope this helps

The thing about drying your face with towel is true. I stopped doing that, so many bacteria even when you wash it. I started using basic “kitchen” towels and I JUST PAT, I don’t swipe my whole face with the peace of paper, basically. It just needs to dry down

I would think the Accutane actually cleared up her skin instead of the olive oil, and she just experienced purging while on it (resulting in clearer skin afterwards), but that's just me.
I was thinking the same thing... Olive oil does nothing for cystic acne, which is usually hormonal. Unless maybe starting to double cleanse helped her clean her skin more thoroughly or something
