So the Young Justice Universe as a whole is basically like, a society where superheroes have been around since the 50s. Society has them essentially accepted in the legal code with provisions for them; ex. Teenagers are able to act as superheroes with parental/guardian permission. So save for the few that go a little too far outside the law sometimes (like Batman) and royalty (Diana, Arthur), the heroes in this verse ARE in fact legally bound to some things. So the Light is using that to its advantage to control and subjugate the League.
Very true
Also, just a couple of episodes ago they mentioned the laws against superheroes in the 50s and Lex wanting to bring them back.
Yeah in this world the league traded being recognized by all the UN nations by having to follow the rules of the they set up for the league. That is why lex wanted to become the head of the UN
This ongoing boom tube joke gives me life.
Yah yah yah yah yah yah yah 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤪
It kills me every damn time! I keep coming back to this one for this joke
i laughed so fuckin hard when Granny was laid out on the floor like that
I remember watching that for the first time and I could not stop laughing, had to rewind it twice 💀
@@strawhatjay7755 same 💀💀
Lmfaoaoaoaao that was comedy genius first funny joke in the show. textbook comedy
LOL This man Roshi really would be supporting Injustice Superman.
5:17
"I'll never get used to sucking and blowing like this"
Bruh, these writers
Kinda bummed that Sheera and Roshi missed it, and Lupa didn't react much on it. They would've laugh their head off 🤣🤣🤣
Don't ya just love it when they sneak innuendos in like that? 😂😂
@@reciprolad6274 I don't know if I can call it "sneak" in the case
Its fitting, he did say he could take Aqualad's ass any day of the week so he's clearly not the one sucking and blowing 😂😂😂
Correction Roshi: You'd be an Anti-Hero. Still a hero, just one who 86s the bad guys instead of changing, capturing, and/or reforming them.
You're saying that like the villains in DC ever reform after being sent to prison unless it's a different verse, timeline, for their own ends, or what have you, these clowns never change.
@@localhoodrat3081 I mean hold onto the attempt to reform them, or at the very least let the "system" handle their executions.
And that's another thing: I'm sick of Batman getting all the c--p about letting Joker live. He puts him AWAY, by the book, due process and all, EVERYONE knows who he is and what he's done, yet no order has ever given the clown the electric chair or some other execution. The people fragged up, bot Batman.
@@localhoodrat3081 Well, that's the thing. A lot of villains have been close to being reformed, but the storyline always throws them back into the villain pool, and personally, it kinda bugs me out. Like can these guys progress.
But they always remain villains because that's what readers expect
11:41 the way she's splayed out on the floor like that sent me
Sent you where?
@@SwordTune to the twilight zone
You guys skipped the post-credits scene. Granny communicates with Darkseid and informs him about the Anti-Life Equation.
I probably didn't see it either. I skipped the credits.
5:50
That muted "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah..." 🤣
Caldur be like “I can handle all the Black Lightning”
That boom tube edit send me dying🤣🤣🤣🤣
The reason why Aqualad absorbed Black Lightning's electricity 10:37
is because one of his powers are Electricity generation, he has the power to generate electricity from his eel tattoos and can do it underwater too against any opponent for defense and offense.
Which would make more sense if BL hadn't made a point (and a meme) about how his lightning is different and that's why Live Wire couldn't absorb it.
@@senhowler His lightning isn't special Black lighting was just stronger than livewire
@@senhowler He didn't say that. She just never had black lightning before.
"Aquaman"
@@senhowler At the risk of sounding racist... Aqualad/man is black too?
More seriously though, Live Wire's your basic meta who can channel lightning through her body, generate and absorb it and so on. But she's younger and a lot less experienced/powerful in this series compared to some of her incarnations like, for example, the one from the superman show who, naturally, had to be able to contend with superman in that one and so packed quite a bit more punch in her zapping ability.
As for the Aqua of manlads, he has a not actually human body, made for surviving in the deep sea which is why he, much like the original Aquaman, are basically bulletproof, pretty damn strong and so on even without any powers. Ontop of that he's a trained atlantian battle-mage type trained in wielding their brand of magic that apparently includes hydro- and electrokinesis as parts of the skillset.
Lets also not forget BL was being controlled at the time and so may not be zapping at 100%.
Why would you think someone who works for Darkseid could be easily folded though?
Especially damn near his second in command
Granny Goodness would fold everybody that was just in her house. Do NOT mess with a New God. Kal'dur was smart.
She literally got hit with a bomb and got back up immediately like it was a snack
fr s4 is gonna be messy. they haven’t even met the other new gods
Indeed. the only hope they had was the box twins pulling some bullshit outta nowhere. Otherwise Granny reprises Lobo's performance.
@@Lexxlionz and that was after having a boom tube open up on her.
The reason legalities are important is cause villains are already a nuisance but the public and the police being after you for committing crimes can be an even bigger problem.
Again batman doesn't give a fuck he runs from the cops sometimes lol
@@DBrokeMillenial Cause he's batman, every other hero is a different story.
@@DBrokeMillenial The reason why we love batman. he will save the people no matter what gets in the way.
Yeah. They draw attention at how Vandal Savage (and even Ra’s al Ghul) save the world all the time but are beholden to no one, legalities be damned. Now we have several spin-offs of the Justice League doing the same and even work together, like the Light does. Jefferson is not happy about all the subterfuge and law breaking the heroes are doing. A few others like Diana feel the same. Where is the line drawn?
@@JayJayM57 You're actually supposed to have a moral dilemma with the way Batman operates. But I guess that's lost on modern audiences who've even normalized things like torture.
The Lil uzi vert parts are killing me🤦♂️😂
bro the music when the boom tubes pops up has me dying 💀💀💀💀
STAAAHPP, IT BE SERIOUS MOMENTS THAT SEND ME BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN BOOM TUBE EDIT💀💀💀
Roshi in the dc world would get fold by Condiment king cause he was looking at someones ass.
13:38 I think with DC, a lot civilians wont see it as "yay you folded the bad guy" (refering to lex luther/granny) because the media in this universe will make it appear the hero attacked an innocent person or caused unnecessary destruction in doing so. Its a big thing with DC for heros usually in the league to not to kill too.
All in all its kind of like avengers civil war on how they stopped ultron but people still died, the civilians still blame them for that.
I think Hawkgirl in DC had a similar issue and is better explained when she had no choice but to put down soloman grundy permanently.
Thanks Roshi now every time I see a boom tube on this show I'm just going to hear "Yah, yah, yah" lol
I told ya, superman did "deal" with Lex Luther but in doing that it created the Justice lords time-line.
Oh yeah I remember that episode Luthor killed flash right?
@@spectre1522 yep. The same time-line where Superman lobotomized all the villains, even joker.
Marvel parodies itself better than DC parodies Marvel, and the reverse holds true.
I'm a Marvel fan, and I never cared for Squadron Supreme. Justice Lords and Injustice: Gods Among Us both were better parodies of the Justice League that examined the fascistic elements of the superhero power fantasy and made you squirm for liking the power fantasy element of superhero stories.
And the fakey Spider-Man villain in the DC universe is trash compared to the many parodies of Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse. There's even a Spider-Man who is an assassin in the Spider-Verse, and the various Spider-Man parodies have more interesting things to say than the DC parody.
I love the boom tube music the editor puts with it. It's ridiculous and hilarious, especially cause those boom tubes are sooo loud.
Lupa cracking up at granny getting blown back by Batman has me in tears bruh !!🤣🤣🤣😭😭
Whoever does these boom tubes edits is a menace and we need more.
Granny: *Gets KOed*
Reactor Trio: *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!*
roshi would do great in the series The Boys, he would die inmidiatly if homelander sees him, but still
Granny goodness got folded twice but a portal. 😂😂😂😂
There's been this phrase I keep hearing about Marvel and DC comics. Marvel is about people trying to be gods, while DC is about gods trying to be people. 🤷
That boomtube yeah is always hilarious 😂
She took a boom tube, and a missile the bat wing, Granny is built Tonka tough bro.
If’ she hasn’t broke the law? You need proof!
11:22 Sheera's Sheeragan being activated again.
Roshi you realize what happened to night wing and black lighting is WHY they don’t just pull up to the villains spot unprepared like you want em too 💀
Man this episode is goated just for that beast boy cyborg scene
You guys NEED to react to the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoon by Dwayne Mcduffie and Tim, it is as awesome as Young Justice or even more and you will get answers of why they don't cross the line in some masterpiece episodes. If I am not mistaken HBO Max has it.
i just finish the squid game react. Perfect timing !
Yo roshi, to do what you were ranting at the end, you gotta have like unlimited absolute power to where nobody can touch you or even have the chance to stand up to you but by then who do you answer to even and absolute power corrupts.
I cracked up at the pop sound of the birth😂😂!!!
That’s wild. I just woke up and was like “wonder if they uploaded yet.”
😂
Roshi just wants to be Omni-Man folding all the villains.
FYI: Cyanosis means there's discoloration on the baby due to a lack of blood/oxygen being pumped through the body. In this case, a breach in the heart was making her like that. It's actually a real and fatal condition that develops in infants and adults.
I recommend not skipping the images of the credits. Especially the one from the last 3 episodes.
Yeah, they should be freaking out about the end credits giving them the finger.
Besides the long history of superhero laws and stuff, Granny Goodness works directly under Darkseid.
Someone like her can't just be kangaroo kicked in the chest.
I'm years late on this, but to Roshi's point on keeping with laws, etc the show kinda gave explanation for it...
Remember the episode where Oceanmaster is spying on the heroes family playdate thing?
If the Justice League heroes pulled up on Lex, just coz, that's the nuclear option. That gives the more conniving type villains like Lex, Deathstroke, Ras Al Ghoul, etc an actual reason to go ham on the heroes' families and retaliate on that level. Because they always could, but choose not to. The Shadows and to an extent, the Light know a LOT of the heroes secret identities. The heroes showing restraint and following the law, more than being the moral thing, keeps some of lawful evil/neutral evil aligned villain characters some room to not be full on monsters on their loved ones.
Bro this gotta be my favorite reaction video on here this shit got me dying 😂😂love the edits
They took Granny Goode's admittedly cartoony power and made them into a force. Though the original Teen Titans version is no slouch.
I guess Aquaman CAN take Black Lightning
It kinda says a lot about modern day society/viewers that are accustomed to unethical practices. Like doing whatever is needed to catch a criminal, even if it means breaking the law. Pre-Guantanamo Bay I remember the times when people believed in ''truth and justice'' and not ''stooping to the level of the enemy.'' A Superman had a code where he wouldn't just go and hurt Lex Luthor. Most viewers/readers understood that code. Nowadays audiences wonder ''why doesn't Superman just fly into Lex Corp and just take Luthor out?! Like Roshi has said before.
That would make him a murderer.... He would be acting without evidence. He's also not a judge, jury & executioner.
Viewers/reactors also seemed to have normalized torture. "'Why doesn't he just beat it out of him or torture him.''
Absolutely no one:
Me when the it's "Boom Tune": 🙌
Forget the chair they were on the source wall
you guys need to react to Doom Patrol
YES! 100% AGREE!! it's my favorite show.
agreed
2:02 for the love of yes their basicly super powered police if they break laws they get the cops on amey on their ass
13:25 you don't want to be beast boy fighting granny
Granny G.: KILL THE MOTHER BOX
Halo and Cyborg: WE THINK THE F*CK NOT!
Garth is the Original Aqualad, and in the main universe past on the title and took the name of Tempest.
I love the editor with the portal sound effect
lol they keepn the boom tube joke goin
Keep the work man love the videos can’t wait for S4
FYI, this episode doesn't seem to be in your Young Justice playlist. Fortunately, the recap at the start of ep 22 clued me in that I had missed one.
Man the boom tube sound just keeps killing me
Damm funny episode especially when Granny got jacked up twice and Roshi and Lupasan laughing like CRAZY!!!
Am I the only one wondering how she gave birth one minute and was up and ready to dive into the her baby the next. You do not recover after giving birth that quickly, let alone the effects of being shrunk down to size.
She's a superhero. She gets shot with alien weapons and gets back up and into the fight again. And her baby needed her.
@@senhowler she doesn't have abilities. It's her suit that gives her powers, unless changes were made to the characters origin. And even if she did, her powers don't involve anything that would help her recover. She's still human so the writing was just very unrealistic.
@@gemelwalters2942 And when Batman gets back up? Or Dick? Tim? Cassie?
Heroes ignore the pain and get back up. Especially when their child is at risk.
Besides, in the past do you think women gave birth in a field and then just said "I'm gonna lay here for a couple of days. Someone else look after my kid." Giving birth isn't nearly as debilitating as you think it is.
@@senhowler She's not Batman or Cassie. She's a scientist not a trained assassin or an amazon. And yes the effects of childbirth on the body is tremendous, not something you recover from in a few mins.
Birth in the fields? why are we talking about fields...maybe research the survival rate of the mothers or the child in that time. It was not great and nobody said anything about days in any case so let's stay focused. We're talking about the few minutes it unrealistically took her to recover. Anyway we'll agree to disagree
@Tesla-Effect that's great but that's not a tool to be used for lazy writing in my opinion.
05:18 missed opportunity y'all. I busted out laughing when dude said this. Like, what?????
Mervyn said it best. But from an overarching perspective
DC- Has the heroes restricted by laws and governments. Its a way to allow the villains to escape and repeatedly make continuous comics over and over again.
Marvel- Heroes there have no issue killing most of the time. But villains there tend to mostly act in violent actions towards heroes instead of society.
For example Rhino, Scorpion, Sandman, etc. They tend to only be thieves or act as mercenaries to fight heroes. They don't go out of their way to go on killing sprees like DC villains. Other villains only exist to attack heroes and mutants directly while keeping normal society out of harms way. Obviously its not 100% statement but both MARVEL and DC have their own way of doing things.
@@Poglavnit_Pferdefuhrer yeah it's pretty funny. Even juggernaut in those issues showed he had ideas on politics and views no ones ever asked him about.
Even Sandman in a comic talked about theres an unspoken rule between villains to NOT be hardcore with killing and affecting normal people. Because when they cross that line, the superheroes and government take off the kiddie gloves and get rid of them permanently
Im gonna be honest. This episode should be called GANG SHIT! Because they literally went to her house saved their freinds, shot her with a rocket and boom tubed out of there. LOL that was so funny
Kaldur has no trouble absorbing that black lightning...
10:16 in 18 years its most likely gonna be another "you turned me into a freak" "you used me as a science experiment"
You know for someone name Granny Goodness, she doesn't live up to the "goodness" part does she?
Godfrey ain't that Glorious either.
Bro can someone check granny's spine, they just fucking her up this episode 😂
Roshi acting like villains hiding behind the law is only a dc thing while we have Doctor Doom in marvel
Young Justice season 4 is set to premiere on the 21st of October, 2021. Three episodes will be released all at once, with ten other episodes releasing once a week after that. The season will consist of two parts, with part 1 making its debut on the 21st of October. The premiere date of the second part is currently unknown.
The boom tubes are everything... I go around yelling it out of no where lol. People think I have tourette syndrome🤣😂
5:18 just missed a "pause" moment there lol
Lmaooo the pause thingy at 3:26
11:38
That was too much for me xD
We acting like that line up was going to beat granny? In her own house? Nah them leaving was the right option
kaldur is the strongest in that room and even he couldn’t
@@kai.417 exactly
Aqua-Man can take that Black Lightning, cause he been giving it to his homie.
Cyanosis means bluish colouration on the skin indicating that the person isn't getting enough oxygen
Cyanosis is the extremities turning blue, usually a case of poor blood flow.
@2:52 LOL! IM DEad!! YALL IS WILIN
Best part of the vid 11:07
3:26 you not slick editor 😂
"Doburo Suicide" these just keep getting better
bro, they missed the end credit scene
Great reaction
youre fucking wild for the squishy sounds @6:23.
Roshi once you watched Injustice, I really want to know your opinions after that! Would you still be a hero and kill the criminals?
Yo that Itachi do rag is SICK AS HELL btw
🔥🔥🔥
We are nearing the end 😭😭
Great reaction!
4:20 The fucking R2D2 NOISES
Wonder how that power thing with the baby is gonna backfire
that birth was hilarious
Yoshi finna want heroes in prison
Thing with DC heroes; DC is more about the principles of a hero rather than the ethics of heroes. With DC its all about the lines people are willing to cross and they've expanded on that over the years with characters like Batman and Batman Inc where many go beyond certain limits of the law while others like Superman won't cross that line because its betraying their principles of what they represent. So having the two sides in this series really touches upon that point.
P.S. Granny would body all of them
Please keep the yeah yeah yeah🤣
DrDoom, Hela, Dormammu, Kingpin, GreenGoblin and more
its not just DC
But that's not something that happens only on DC bc even in marvel they have doctor doom or Norman oscorb. Even in boku no hero they needed a warrant in season 3 (when they raided the league of villans hideout) and season 4 (when they raided shie hassaikai)
y’all neee to watch AceVane quarantine series 😂 mad funny
9:12 they have 2 members are down and they have no idea what she is throwing hands isn't the best option right now
