  • How to Draw a Celtic Knot Border Step by Step is a tutorial using a freehand method without grid paper. Celtic Knotwork is a passion and as a follower of the Zentangle ® Method, I believe in a low stress, repetitive system for drawing Celtic Knots. This lesson is intermediate and knowledge of the Tangle "Huggins" is recommended. It's easy! 💜 Leave your questions for me in comments below.
This is the next in my series of freehand Celtic Knots for beginners.

The Tireless Tangler is about sharing information related to art as it pertains to the Zentangle Method and the artists in that community. Art of different kinds is an easy divergence so related tutorials appear here, as well as, Artist Focus videos showcasing Zentangle artists from all over the world! This is a new channel and there is a big learning curve so I'm trying hard to catch up. I'm a work in progress so come along for the ride!
"The Zentangle®️ Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns." The Zentangle Method was founded by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. More information can be found at Zentangle.com

Hi everyone! Thanks for coming back! Don't forget to Subscribe! 💜 This video had some technical issues. I also needed to zoom in a bit but didn't have time to redo the video. Let me know what type of knot designs you're looking for. Send me a picture of a design and I will try to get a tutorial together. Thetirelesstangler@gmail.com

Ms Ma'am, I just wanted to say THANK YOU so very much. Art has always been one of my passions, but I have always had a hard time with the patterns for Celtic knots, but with the pace and way you show and teach, it has been so easy and wonderful. I am so glad I came across your channel.

This looks amazing. Can't wait to try it. With a tail bone injury there's not much sitting time but I've bookmarked this one.

Cary Brown hi Cary! You're right! I thought I had the zoom right but when editing I realized it hadn't been on! So frustrating! Thanks for your comment! I'll try to get it right next time!😂

Don't know why I started on this afternoon, but I have spent the better part of three hours trying to understand what was going on. My drawing is just too messy, but I think I finally got one to work. Now to do some practice. Your instructions are perfect, my following isn't. Thanks for recording it so I can go over and over it again and again.

Your approach is awesome. I have to try this myself. Isn't your setup (the rack or framework) very uncomfortable for your hand?

Thanks so much for your comment! It’s a table top easel with a lazy Susan top. It’s not too bad but I’d like to design something for drawing specifically. If you do try it I’d love for you to tag me #thetirelesstangler I’d love to see what you do with it!
