Hey Wickedbinge you forgot Francine adopted parents Baba and Mama Ling . They should be in the grey area because while they do care for Francine they force her and Stan to not use forks and take their shoes off inside their own house and make them conform to their rules. The reason why they aren't toxic is because they do care for their adopted daughter and they did save Stan form a fire even though they don't like him they did save his life. They do care for their adopted grandchildren and treat them well. Francine real parents {Nicholas and Cassandra Dawson} are much worse and they should in the toxic area because they abandoned Francine as a infant so that they get to be in 1st class and are psychopaths because they would of let Stan die in the fire and show no remorse for what they done to people.
Also, I was a bit disappointed for him for not diving deeper between Steve and Snot’s relationship, especially when they have more interactions than the rest of the gang.
I want Kiko to show up in one of the new episodes and finally get with Steve as his soulmate.Steve and Kiko must become permanently canon. They’re obviously perfect for each other. Especially after all the relationship drama and love quests Steve gets into. He needs this. He needs this!
It's good to see that American Dad hasn't chosen the path of having lots of overly toxic relationships just for the sake of comedy that Family Guy has, but the incredibly toxic relationships that are evident have deeper meaning and actually influence the characters accordingly, making them more understandable and relatable/ or predictable. I'm very happy that Roger and Rogu's father and son bond takes top place and I very much agree with that; as while we know he wouldn't be an appropriate role model, he wouldn't either do anything particularly cruel or mischievous to harm Rogu who is someone that Roger cares for deeply other than himself. However there are some choices I don't entirely agree with like Hayley and Jeff as they aren't the pure relationship goals you paint them out to be. While I half-agree in that Jeff, being the very humble kind-hearted and easy going stoner he is, genuinely loves Hayley and sees her as his true love that he'd do anything for and go to the ends of the world to get her back (ofc he actually did!). He has never done anything outright despicable to her and wouldn't ever want to abuse her in any way, and while he is often irresponsible, immature and dubious which can be linked back to his general stupidity and obsession with weed/pot, it's never with bad intent and he just wants to be chill and make her happy at the end of the day, even if he tends to forget how to do that. His qualities represent the healthy side of the relationship. Now while Hayley has reciprocated those feelings towards Jeff mostly since they got married and when he returned home from space and has demonstrated her love for him to her family, it's obvious to tell that she's almost over him now considering she agreed to marry him not just because he won her over but mostly to piss off Stan for trying to being so controlling of her life. She often acts entirely dismissive and distanced towards him, openly putting him down and treating him like an inferior person; no wonder she regularly attempts to cheat on him. Even with this Jeff still stays loyal and loving to her despite her mental abuse that he can't seem to figure out; however there is an episode in which Jeff becomes smart, realises all the negative things she's doing to him so he can become dumb again and make herself feel superior, and immediately divorces her. So they should be around the bottom of healthy or top of grey area as Jeff's undying loyalty prevents the relationship from being truly toxic, as how could they be healthier than Steve and Akiko's almost 'love at first sight' relationship where they were truly meant for each other and it wasn't hard to see why. Also I really don't think Stan and Roger's friendship is all that healthy, as Stan still threatens to kill or abandon roger, and the latter's love for Stan is mostly sexual, and while Stan has been cruel and apathetic towards Steve and Hayley on multiple occasions, he still genuinely cares for them as your rankings say he has no care for them at all.
They don’t treat klaus as bad as they do Meg tho. I stopped watching Family Guy because of that reason. They turned all of the characters into complete toxic douche bags. It got to the point where the show was just unwatchable for me. Brian used to be a good character now he’s one of the worst characters on the show.
American Dad Relationships: Healthy to Toxic more like Good to Bad because Stan and Francine are always both good and bad but they're actually in a healthy relationship although they are somewhat abusive, confusing, and bad but still they are a perfect couple.
To be fair, if you would separate both the kids and just had it be one on one with one parent and one kid then Stan and Hayley and Francine and Steve would fall way WAY lower... (Although in my opinion, Francine and Steve are WAY worse than Stan and Hayley)
I know they're not on often enough, but what about Shari and Buckle? I would put them at the lower end of healthy near the gray area. Because that Shari seems to manipulate him. For example, she made him move from his treehouse to the suburbs of Langley because that's where she wanted to live. I know that they have good times too, and it seems like Buckle loves her.

Hayley and Jeff's relationship is really sweet and wholesome in American Dad, Francine and Stan's relationship is okay, but its not as healthy as Hayley and Jeff's relationship. And I'm pretty sure Roger can be toxic to almost everyone in American Dad.😊😬
Stan and Francine should be WAY lower on the list. I haven’t seen the show myself but I’ve seen lists about it including PhantomStrider’s Top 10 worst American Dad episodes. Again I haven’t watched the show so I don’t know anything other than what I hear about it on UA-cam, but from what I’ve heard about Stan and Francine, they are so completely wrong for each other.
Francine straight up cheated on Stan and hid it from him their whole marriage and probably would have took it to her grave if not for Hailey wrecking her kidney. So yah their relationship is kind of a joke.
Even tough Stan and Francine obviously have some of their bad moments with their children, when you compare them to Peter and Lois from Family Guy, the Smiths are obviously much better parents than The Griffins could ever be.
Tbh I think Francine and Stan should be in the gray area only because yes they both have done some really shitty things to each other but overall they do seem to enjoy they life they have together despite both their characters having major flaws.

I don't agree with the Stan and Francine one being toxic.
I'd put them in the grey area because they do genuinely care about each other. Francine makes Stan be more open minded and Stan makes her think.
Also Stan does truly love Francine because in the episode in which Francine wants him to seduce her like he does CIA enemies, he refused to because the flirtations he does are entirely fictional and don't mean anything to him whereas she does.
