Novak: Can I say myself?
Zverev: Yes you can.
XD!!!
Lol😂 respect
hahaha
Genuinely laughed out loud at this lol. Let me also add to it:
Novak: Can I say myself?
Zverev: Yes you can.
Novak: Respect.
Zverev: Chill out dude, better put me in there!
Remembering that he's picking from the Davis Cup players, I found Novak's answers very intelligent and thoughtful.
Berk Arslan maybe or maybe not, but what we do know is that neither Swiss player was at Davis Cup so they were not options. he made smart decisions with what he had available 😉
Ingeneral if he picks then it be wawarinka for sure for backhand lol 😂
"Intelligent and thoughtful": He always is when in tennis-related conversation.
wow this should be explained in the video!!
innosanto Agreed. Otjerwise he comes off as biased against certain players.
As a Nadal fan, Djoker is probably the most complete player... absolutely privileged to be able to watch the three GOATs
Brian Kim I totally agree with you (but vamos Rafa!)
Federer is, Djokovic can't play doubles to save his life for a reason. Federer all-court, most versatile/complete
I was also a Nadal fan, but Inhave grown to admire Novak more bc of how harsh the usual tennis public aos towards him. It's not easy at all to be from a country outside Europe and be dominating a sport that has been dominated by european or american players most of the time.
@@Smileater Indeed. Now there are a lot of great Serbian players and I'm sure Novak inspired many of them
@@Collington12 totally agreed. I hope to see more Serbian players. Greetings from Peru
I think he was picking players in the Davis Cup...not in tennis in general.
Ingeneral if he picks then it be wawarinka for sure for backhand lol 😂
@@vinnu2337 yeah he has a pretty solid backhand..lol.
Yes it’s obvious because he didn’t speak about Federer
@@quentinharoche9564 yea I remember in the original video with all players he said rafa and roger for forehand
@@vinnu2337 He said Murray in general tennis
I love his admiration for Goffin 😍👌👌
Djoko has so much of respect for his opponents 😍
How to fall (deeper) in love with Djokovic with one video.
I'm glad Novak took his return. Many players would probably be scared to sound arrogant but arrogant would be picking himself in almost every category. He's just honest.
I'd have liked if he also included his bh. I mean Goffin's is good but nowhere on Nole's level. In fact, Nole's bh is the best ever.
And his mentality is on par with Nadal's, should have mentioned that.
@@rodrigoodonsalcedocisneros9266 true
He was actually modest by picking himself in one category only...
Djoker: Can i say, myself?
Well, of course you can sir👏🏼👏🏼🔥
Perfect answer Nole
that's what zverev would say
Novak Djokovic is a humble soul. He is number one because he has all features he mentioned but does not claim but his fans like me and other know he is a complete tennis player.
Agha Mobeen huh complete so I gues net game is not considered part of tennis.
He is a complete defensive player and that’s it. No wonder he doesn’t mention roger federer’s footwork, forehand, Slice, talent.
@@jamesrobinson133 i'd say he's a complete baseliner. One of his biggest strengths is the ability to change a defensive position to an offensive position. You don't just win points from the baseline by being defensive.
@@SteveLithafnium 100% his average rally shot i think is the best we've ever seen, so close to the baseline almost always. i think that's the same point you've made. i'll always credit him for his strengths, his range of shot and flexibility are remarkable, bis backhand is probably the purest two-hander we have seen as well, his endurance is tremendous, plus his focus, discipline and ability to work on weaknesses in his game are what make him so great to me.. There's always a but with him though.
Almost like Nishikori where he could finish points quicker and develop the attacking side of his game more, because he has more than enough shots to be more attacking
Humble?!?! He's the complete opposite of humble - it's called 'arrogant'!! But - I don't begrudge him being arrogant. He is the goat - at least for his play on court, on big occasions especially.
perfect player:
*R.E.S.P.E.C.T*
Such thoughtful human being.
do you want to explain why?
Novak: because its nadal
😂😂😂
And that's enough. 😂
I don't know but he feeds his tennis from Nadal ,Nadal you feel excitement when you can face him
He's so decent, humble off court.. on court he's a complete different man
If I were to creat the "The Perfect Player"
Forehand - Nadal and Del Potro
Backhand - Djokovic and Wawrinka
Mentality - Djokovic and Nadal
Return - Djokovic
Volley - Federer
Service - Federer and Isner
Footwork - Djokovic, Thiem, Nadal and Federer
Movement - Djokovic and Monfils
Federer second serve thou, also he is hot and cold with serve.
U r so right, great answer, do you play tennis? I'm sure you do
Spot on, think I’d throw fed’s forehand in there too
great list !! i only would have let Kyrgios along with Federer in service, even if Isner is a monster on that shot
movement: murray in is prime
Loved it when he said BECAUSE ITS NADAL
says so much 💙💙💙💙
Djokovic really jinxed FAA and Shapo 🤣🤣
yeah christ - him saying FAA makes me so sad thinking of what could be
Following the video's criteria, my player would be:
Forehand: Nadal
Backhand: Djokovic
Serve: Kyrgios
Return: Djokovic
Talent: Federer
Mentality: Nadal/Djokovic
Physical condition: Thiem
Volley: Federer
Footwork: Djokovic
He wasn’t picking Federer because he was not playing
Define "Talent"...I think it was about Nextgen here
@@LazyDoc333 To me talent is the ability to make the very difficult seem easy. And Federer is the master at that, he seems to play effortlessly.
Lol he was picking only from the players that were in that tournament 😂😂😂you think he would have left Federer of the list on purpose?
I think footwork you mean federer
Wow Nole has an amazing analytical mind!
Finally an admiration towards Goffin backhand. Because all pick novak's backhand is best. Goffin 's backhand is my favourite in double hander. He has that flair like how single handed players have
Perfect tennis player would probably have:
Forehand: rafa
Backhand/return/mentality/physical: djokovic
Serve: isner
I mean Federer wasn't playing on the tour at the time this interview was done, otherwise no doubt Novak would have said Federer for forehand and maybe also for footwork, Fed's footwork is world class and he is the epitome of 'light on your feet', very efficient at movement on the court.
That being said, a mature Djokovic and a young Alcaraz are also impeccable in their foot movement.
Fed’s net game was unparalleled.
Before you write your comments. Please note he is only picking from the players in the TOURNAMENT. Federer is not in the tournament.
For those felt the need to clarify Novak's choices, so what if he only been asked to pick from Davis cup participants, just because he didn't mention or pick Federer for any category and you feel offended?!
Get real please
I think he is the only player i realised that took upcoming talent within the GOAT category. Most players just took the top 10 existing players. Really like he put Kygrios for serve, since his serve is by far the most accurate in spots. Saw a video where he only served 2 spots all game, the left and right, so its hard to read and its consistent.
Impressive how well he knows the players. Thats some mamba mentality there.
no. he's just a pro...
Black Mamba?
@@sefutho He is not the black mamba, but when we talk about mentality he is the only athlete on one level with kobe.
For those felt the need to clarify Novak's choices, so what if he only been asked to pick from Davis cup participants, just because he didn't mention or pick Federer for any category and you feel offended?!
Get real please
Well Felix over Federer talent wise would be just nuts, so maybe the clarification fits right.
You seem more offended.
1:04 Talent - Nole didn't quite understand the question. He heard talent he thought "young players with potential" not who is the most talented player to ever play the game.
In Serbia a talented player is meant to be young player with big potential, not the player that needs less training to achieve more, exclusively..
He was asked to built a perfect player from the last year Davis Cup players list, not from the history of tennis
One of the few times where ‘myself’ doesn’t sound like bragging.
When he said goffin on the backhand side i just thought who is he kidding. Novak has the best backhand in the world by a countrymile and stan is the only guy who can actually go toe to toe with his backhand against novak's backhand and break novak's backhand down. It just shows how good a backhand that is.Goffin maybe good but Djokovic backhand is something i tried to copy myself while i play.I use to love hitting a single hander and only switched to the double hander like novak partly because of the way he uses it defend on the stretch where in the case of single handers you have to slice the ball back into the court giving your opponent a lot of time on the ball for his next shot. With double hander you can stretch and bunt the ball deep into the court giving lesser time to your opponent and keeping you in the point with a Better chance.
Novak is very humble person. Love this amazing GUY. Good luck Nole in Paris. Fingers crossed
For the stupid people in the comment section:
#1 he was asked to make the perfect player from Davis Cup participants
#2 hes literally called Roger the greatest of all time.. multiple times in post match interviews to rogers face lol. There’s mutual respect between the two..
No. In fact djokovic said Nadal is the greatest of all time for him
Fortunately, I was only stupid in my head. I only understood he was asked about Davis Cup participants once I read the comments. I think the stupidity came from the people who made the video and who were not (deliberately ?) clear about it.
Actually, I'm not sure he's ever said Fed's the greatest. He's always qualified it with a "perhaps" or a "maybe" or a "possibly" or "one of" or some such thing.
It's true that he's said it (unqualifiedly) about Nadal though.

Pd: I'm still a Nadal fan, but No1e is my favorite
He's from a country inside of Europe.
Talent: FEDERER
Кому кто....😊
If you put all those players together, you get something pretty close to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Djokovic. So I guess we have 3 Perfect Players, all playing at the same time.

GOAT already!
In your Serbian dreams. Djokovic ain't no GOAT with only 17 Slams when both of his biggest rivals Federer and Nadal have more Slams than him.
@@jameswalker6864 He's got better head to head results with both of them. And the most important 17 slams in last 10years, while Federer only 5! He can't win anything since Nole started winning. GOAT
I agree, Novak is the G.O.A.T.
marko marko Kyrgios has 2-0 h2h against Djokovic, in this logic is he better than him tho?
@@user-oq3in5pz3d No two matches don't decide shit but when Kyrgios will have 20, 30 wins over him and at least 17 slams ( read: NEVER) than I will say yes he is clearly better. And those two wins came right after Novak's surgery when he was sturggling and losing against everybody.
How huge Novak is when he even mentioned Kirgyos even tho Nick talks shit of him every single time. And no RF heheh maybe if u asked ''Who cries best'' he would be there. Novak is fokin legend !

Cry roger 😂
I agree with almost everything Nole said, only 2 corrections : Backhand - Wawrinka
Footwork - Federer
He was picking from the people that were participating in the tournament, your picks aren't in the tournament
Djokos backhand is two handed its like a complete other thing and its two handed so his is better idk why he chooses goffin and footwork is so stupid to call federer because federer is a master of anticipating and watching the whole court he knows exactly where the ball is about to come his footwork is clearly good but far away from novaks or alex de minaurs , monfils footwork
Footwork- Federer, really?
@@TheLuisaco unless you're braindead, yes Federer is the obvious pick lol. Ik he's picking from the tournament, but it's PRETTY obvious footwork goes to Federer; this category is about TECHNIQUE in movement, not running like a bull like Nadal, Monfils or de minaur, and it's definitely not about doing cheerleader splits and like Djokovic lol
@ yeah, they're beating the shit out of weak era next gen kiddies in their nappies 😂😂 they don't seem to work so well on grandpa Federer tho, who djokobitch still can't seem to properly dominate in a single match despite grandpa fed being only an like 30-40% of his former ability. 6-4 6-3 on djokobitch's best surface in the atp finals and almost dominated both Rafa and djokobitch in Wimbledon when hes already the GOAT win or lose and can be enjoying retirement in a resort 😂😂 I guess Federer likes using djokobitch as his toy way too much for him to leave lmao 😂😂😂🤣😂🤣
You had to admire him for telling kyrgios for serve ...
Kyrgios has a winning Record against Djokovic 2-0. Great analysis by Djokovic, and may be Djokovic is still analyzing how to return and beat Kyrgios serve.
@@inggoj Djokovic will eat him alive if he meets him ... They met eachother when kyrgios was at his best possible n Djokovic was at his worst bottom possible ..... Kyrgios is a shitty player ... He will struggle against top 30 ... Maybe extra motivated in Australia that's it ..

Good choices... Goffin's backhand is inspired by Novak's backhand . :-)
Novak ♥️🏆🎾incredible champions and the greatest of all time🏆🎾
Best of the elite on the court, by far, and damn! if he isn't also that off the court as well. Anyone who doesn't see this man as a giant among all athletes is himself probably very small, resentful, or just plain blind....
I think he wanted to pick Nadal for everything really excluding the serve.
Kkkk good joke
Novak is very intelligent and articulate. i am surprised Goffin ranks so high in his opinion, yes definitely on backhand but footwork?? Novak is one of the best spot servers today and his flexibility, precision on his backhand as well as ability to change directions is second to none. More than anything his serve is a deadly weapon today. like a laser and quite powerful
At first I was like "Goffin?!" O_o but okay Davis Cup should have made it clear ND could only pick active players in the tournament. But no they decide to stoke up debate by disingenuously hide this fact from the audience.
I was looking in the comments for the meme for Zverev where he would put himself everywhere. Where are you who writes this... I miss you
Forehand - Del Potro
Backhand - Nalbandian
Mentality - Djokovic
Return - Djokovic
Volley - Federer
Service - Karlovic or Isner
Footwork - Djokovic
Movement - Monfils or Ferrer
Federer would be my favourite in talent, foodwork and volley
Bravo brate! Jebes Svajcarce! Najveci narzisti Na svetu!
Honesty for the backhand and mental strength i would have pick him lol
Am I the only one who was damn impressed by noles felix name pronunciation . Lol
Forehand - Nadal
Backhand - Nole
Serve - Karlovic
Return - Nole
Volley - Fed
Speed - Nadal (in his prime)
Footwork - Nole
Endurance - Nole
Mentality - Nole/Rafa (i can't pick since they both unbeatable in their best day)
On the mental aspect Djokovic is definitely up there but I would Nadal just above him with the addition that he turned pro and started winning quite early in his career. it takes quite the strong head and a lot of guts to be able to make a mark in your teen years (Coco Gauff) on tour and still consistently stay up the rankings for over decade despite numerous injuries.
Can you imagine player with Kyrgios serve, Nadal forehand, Federer slice and Djokovic backhand and return?
David Goffin has a really good backhand, he's so quick that he always gets a good position to hit it. Being said that, it's far from being my favourite backhand. Out the active players (otherwise I would include Nalbandian and Agassi) my top three is Wawrinka - Djokovic - Paire
backhand: why do not you put yourself Novak. Honestly you two-handed backhand is outstanding.
Forehand: Nadal (Djokovic and Murray dixit) and Federer.
Backhand: Djokovic, no doubt.
Serve: Isner.
Feet game: Djokovic-Nadal
Talent: No doubt, Federer.

Mentality: Nadal-Djokovic
Physical Condition: again, Nadal-Djokovic, six hours on court in AO final.........
That's my choice......
Felix auger is the rising star this year, dude is consistent and beats some quality opponent and he is still very young
I love Felix's technique, I think he just needs to improve his serve
interesting choice in goffin for backhand
Nole has more mental than Nadal because Nadal has the crowd behind him, not Nole.
He broke his racket wayy more than Nadal tho
@@Ruben.tarigan you can break racquet and still lose but Nole breaks racquet and he wins
@@danggiang5366 First, im not a tennis player lmao. Second, his habit of breaking his racket shows that he snaps easily, which is definitely not showing his strong mental.

I’m pretty sure when Novak said David had the best backhand, he had a picture of himself in his mind when explaining why David had the best backhand😂
Taking the ball early, natural swing, cross court or down the line
Ofc he was explaining his bh :)
Two things.
1. Was he mad at Federer that day for some reason?
2. Djoker has become much more humble and respectful over time. Back in his younger days every answer probably would’ve been himself
Because he has to pick the players from that tournament ( the Davis cup ), and Stan and Roger didn't play in it, when this was being made.
This would be my perfect player but u can’t pick the same person twice:
Forehand: Del potro
Backhand: Nalbandian
Serve: Kyrgios
Volley: Federer
Fitness: Nadal
Mental strength: Djokovic
Speed: De minaur

Not a single mention of Federer in Tennis..is a crime... Atleast 2 facets of the game belong to him!! Period
federer ?
He's forgotten! This man is so up his own ass, he things everybody else is more special than Federer, clearly he just wants a reaction, this should motivate Federer more, to get back, and win French Open and Wimbledon, he should visit the pope, and get that knee fixed completely, so he can compete again.
He didn't play Davis cup..Its about ppl that played it..
@@pauljohnson6019 what would you take from Fed maybe forehand only he took volley from double player which im pretty sure is most important aspect of doubles.
Paul Johnson
Not much I would take from Federer since he’s not the best in any single thing. Maybe “determination” would be one thing since he’s still playing at 38 years old and hasn’t ever retired in a grand slam match. Djokovic is actually the most complete player as he’s in the top 3 in almost every shot except overhead.
He's choosing between players who played Davis Cup...
