@Vartika Bhagat 1) women's' opinion on a product is not "taboo" as you said. 2) Yes, cups require fewer checks than pads, however, I still find cups gross. 3) I do not want to buy your opinion, or for you to get offended over women's views on products- what more is there to research about silicone cups? I simply am not interested, the end.
I have been using menstrual cups for more than 5 years now. I am never going back to pads ever again. I noticed that the inward method and squat position is best wat to insert the cup the right way. Also, its very helpful if u use a whisk while boiling the cup. All u need to do is position the cup inside the whisk and boil. From my experience, it sanitizes more evenly.

You can use reusable cloth pads or there are so many biodegradable sanitary napkin. Buy a compost bin and you can decompose them easily. Some brands are quite expensive. I personally is sakhi and heyday and compost in my back yard
The problem is that not all are aware of biodegrade pads.. and girls have to give a try to menstrual cups as it is environmental friendly and one time investment..👌😁
You shouldnt feel it, same as with a tampon. I use the diva cup and if the stem of the cup is too long, you can simply cut some of it off. There shouldnt be anything sticking out of you

@@hithyshikumar8860 Hi. Sorry I must have missed your comment. I didn't see. If you've never had anything inside your vagina maybe your body is adjusting. Secondly, I think you should visit a gynecologist for better understanding. The reason why maybe you had cramps is because the cup was pressing some nerve and it was causing major cramps. I would suggest you to visit a gynecologist. She will have much better and logical answers.

@@noreenosama9042 If you went to a sex ed class learnt how to draw a uterus in your 8th grade, you would know this. it s ANATOMICALLY NOT possible to get it stuck. Your cervix acts as a barrier to your uterus, there is no way your cup would just get up in there. And your vagina works biologically in a way to push any inanimate object out by itself, and the cup stays where it is since 100% of them are made in silicone and due to suction, they stay right where you left them. There is only a possibility of them being pushed out a bit while you're pooping, because its normal for your body to shift the muscles around to poop out, but no worries, you can just fix it easily showing the place.
Excellent video. I have two major pointers though... 1. Gynecologists have insisted on NO SOAP or any cleaning agents to be used for cups. Plain clean water is enough. 2. Pulling the stem to extract the cup does not release the suction. Friction aginst the vaginal muscles may invite infection. Please use cups without the stem. I have been trained to guide to conduct presentations on using mentrual cups.
@@uditarai1500 not really. Simply nudge the cup at the base. Pinch it to release the suction. Twisting may agian create friction against the vaginal walls.
Hi there! Usually you can push it to the point where the stem of the cup is just inside your vaginal canal and then rotate it at that point. You can squeeze the cup very slightly while removal to release the suction but you can pull it down by the stem first to make this easier. Also, the amount blood that women release is a commonly asked question. You will be surprised to know that even on your heaviest days the amount of menstrual blood your body puts out is only a couple of spoonfuls and after 12 hours will only fill the cup about half way! When using it at the beginning, clean it every 4-6 hours to understand what your flow is like and then change your routine from then on! We ope you give it a try! Hope these answers help! -Team Glamrs
I tried a menstrual cup . It didn't work for me . Then nxt time when I wanted to buy a new one I got to know that cervix height matters. My cervix is too low that there's no menstrual cup for my cervix height. Hence I switched to cloth pads and biodegradable sanitary napkins.
This is exactly what confuses anxious women.. please watch stonesoup channel and its guiding videos. Their research proves that there is no need to measure your cervix nor do we need a stem. They have cleared all the confusion surrounding the cup.
Nireeksha... Frankly the cervix height doesn't matter. The entire confusion surround the height of cervix, the diameter of the rim of the cup is simply because there is no proper guidance for anxious women. Stonesoup has #periodlove bleed green project solely for clearing this confusion. Visit stonesoup.in

Hey gals keep trying!! Once you start using you will forget that you have your period! You can exercise or swim even!!
I think the person who invented cups, was really pushing the limit with the pain factor of a period. 😂🤣😖😖😖 It’s kind of gross.
So cool. Have been using this past 3 years. Good to see this video for Indian women who have so many doubts.
Hey Joyce, thanks for watching! :) Stay tuned for more! - Team Glamrs
Hey there! thank you for sharing your feedback with us! - Team Glamrs
Complicated. Pad rocks
Hi Debi! We understand that this might not seem like it is for everyone but in the long run, pads are tedious to change and dispose off, and they cause irritation and odour as well and are an unhygienic option. We hope you do give it a try and let us know what you think!
- Team Glamrs
Pads actually pollute the environment.
Hi preeti, yes you're right, that's why menstrual cups are sustainable and eco friendly period products that will help you have an easier, mess free period.
-Team Glamrs
You can use reusable cloth pads or there are so many biodegradable sanitary napkin. Buy a compost bin and you can decompose them easily. Some brands are quite expensive. I personally is sakhi and heyday and compost in my back yard
The problem is that not all are aware of biodegrade pads.. and girls have to give a try to menstrual cups as it is environmental friendly and one time investment..👌😁

@@003_shivanjali3 Hi. Yes I have been using sirona for the past year for every cycle. I don't feel any discomfort. I think a small size will be good for you. However Sirona and most menstrual cups are manufactured in China. Safecup & ElaCup is manufactured in USA. what if it slips deep inside?
@@noreenosama9042 no it won't, you can easily push it down. Try it. Once you are used to it, you will even think of using pads again.
There are even teenage cups out there. It's nothing new. People are just not aware of it but a lot of teenagers, young adults are already using it. And it's eco friendly, cheap, reusable up to 10-15 years.
2) instead we shud twist the cup slowly to remove the suction... Right???

Since I heard about menstrual cup I eagerly want to know when we lay down does the blood spill inside our stomach?
Hi Deepika, the blood flows into the vagina and thus into the cup through the tiny hole in the cervix. It is not possible for the blood to flow back into the womb, not even if you're upside down. The muscles of the uterus push the menstrual blood out actively from the uterus. Hope this explains your question.

It does, I guess cause tehcnically its gravity blood should flow around. But it doesn’t cause any complications eitherways if thats whats going on inside. But it doesn’t go in our stomach cause that’s a different organ.

Hi there, just to clarify you don't need to remove it while using the bathroom even if you are urinating or pooping. This is because the vaginal canal from where you bleed is totally separate from urethra which is where you pee from. In short, we a woman's body has 3 holes. If you want to ask us anything else please feel free we're here to help!

I have a doubt in using a Menstrual Cup. I have never used it but was thinking to opt for it. My question is:
When you insert the cup and then start moving , doesn't it feels uncomfortable there?
Thank you
Hey there! once it fits correctly it doesnt! you may find it a little discomfort in the start but once you ace it it wont be :) - Team Glamrs
