The Chief Justice talks about “The General” which General? Major General? Lt. General? or The four star General.? The Supreme Court has not thought this through? And, what is the meaning of “short term” ? To me “Short Term” is three years. To the Supreme Court “ Short Term” is six months? Hasn’t the Justices thought this through? Aitizaz Hassan - I am astonished is not a Supreme Court judge. I am saddened that Aitizaz Hassan is not the President of Pakistan. A scholarly barrister who is profound, thoughtful and articulate. The framers of the constitution, in their wisdom, left it open to the discretion of the constitution. The Supreme Court has no writ to challenge the wisdom of constitution authors. The PM has the constitutional power to appoint an army chief. Where is the constitutional bar on the PM to appoint one general as army chief twice ? Without using the word ‘extension’ if the words used ar ‘the PM is pleased to appoint general......as army chief for another term of 3 years’. What is the problem in the constitution? The word ‘power’ is all inclusive and can be exercised for more than once. The application filed before the Supreme Court was ab initio absurd.

Where were Judges for all these years on extension of Army Chief? Judiciary has unnecessarily interfered in Executive branch rights instead of delivering Justice to Citizens of Pakistan who pay their salaries.
