- In this epic Total War Warhammer 2 Siege of Xlanhuapec, the City of Mist, the Lizardmen and their Slann Mage Priests defend ancient temple cities against the Chaos forces of Tzeentch, Sarthorael the Everwatcher, Wulfrik the Wanderer, and the Mammoths of Norsca. One of the coolest siege maps I've ever seen on this game!

Blue berry slann is a badass, he holds the lines longer than the banana slann. he kills mammoths like a boss, he fought both armies off on his die then saves the day with his comet.

Cause the defenders were lizardmen, as their army generally is slow and consists of heavy melee units I think defense is best suited for them
Should CA add some of the custom maps into the game? I think they should cause they look gorgeus. And if you dont agree tell me why?

Because the AI is dumb as fuck and can't handle these complex terrain features, that's why. CA left these sorts of things to the modders, not because they can't do it, but because it's a wasteful effort on their part. If they made maps like these and added them to the campaign, which is the main focus of development, they would have to spend a lot of time, money and effort into making a siege AI capable of understanding multi layered fortresses, choke point blocking, flank denial and many other complex aspects of fighting to attack or defend a settlement like this. Just try it yourself, get one of these maps from the steam workshop, star up a custom game against the AI and watch it freak out, not knowing where to send its troops and just blobbing up somewhere.
I agree, but I'll tell you why I don't think it will happen. They would have to credit the modder(s) who made the map and there might be some problems surrounding that.
DellKaz well they are working on that issue with the new three kingdoms game so maybe they will have it worked out by the time 3 rolls around

this entire battle is just warhammer. The armies, the fronts, the battles, the map (BY THE GODS that map is freaking epic) and that final, last desperate stand. Amazing. Just perfect for this setting. Thanks for this video Indy. Amazing as always.

That map is so awesome they should put it in the game. BTW that was probably the very best Warhammer Battle video I have ever seen. And that is saying a lot. Very good. Makes me want to get the game ( I have I not II)!!. Anyway epic job all round!

An awesome map and a great game. I'm just trying to imagine how unfair it would have been if the City mists worked as they do in lore. It's funny imagining Chaos Warriors bumbling around unable to see what is right in front of them before being picked of in ambushes.

I think the mysteries and magic of Tzeentch would tempt me the most out of the chaos gods... I love the astral and the psychedelic (and have explored both a lot, probably more than I should have lol). In my college years I would have probably said Slaanesh, but now I think I would ultimately be more likely to fall for the Changer of the Ways.
I just keep coming back to these awesome siege battles

I heard there was a massive siege battle involving the Lizards, so I came as soon as I could.
I love these big sieges, as well as big 2v2 3v3 4v4, really gives that warhammer feel
please do more of these. This is what total war is all about!

This may be my favorite siege battle yet out of all the ones you’ve done. I really loved seeing Norsca in a siege, I don’t think I’ve watched or played a siege with them yet.

That opening would have been fit for an actual, official trailer of a new release, it was very well planned and executed! I can't thank you enough for your hard work, I hope CA sees this and takes notes, maybe ask the modder if he feels like working with them ('cause that guy needs to end up in a triple-A company making amazing maps like this), and oh my god this was amazing.

Spell kills dont show on the kill card cause Tzeentch doesn't want the other chaos gods to know how many servants he got killed in the last choke point lol

I keep telling people, a vermintide spinoff where you play as different fools trying to loot a lizardmen city would be dope
Playing as Lizardmen killing Skaven would be better. Then you don't have to worm your way around the fact that the jungles of Lustria are literally a magically engineered death trap where even the mud is trying to kill you filthy warmbloods.
I gotta say that was amazing.

Bonehead Trevor to be fair CA does make beautiful maps but they are mostly background, the actual playable areas are way too small.
Well I know they're beautiful, I'm talking about the Siege Battles. I mean looking at this map the only thing that comes close to this would be the Steps of Isha by CA.
