- It's been a while since Endgame.
During the summer I bumped into this song and it occurred to me that: the lyrics just fits the story of Stucky perfectly.
So I had to do this.
Enjoy.
Apologize for a typo in the lyrics,
and the ending (I cry every time I rewatch this.)
This is also interesting because Hydra rewrote the stars. The star on Bucky's arm represented evil and coldness, and Bucky tried to rewrite it to be Steve's star

Can you really compare their friendship in the first Avenger and then in endgame.
And if anyone's gonna say that's probably because of all the things that happened after first Avenger, then with that thinking going back to Peggy made even less sense.
Let alone stucky as a couple but marvel showed no signs of that bond between them since winter soldier. It always seemed like a formality.

1:29 when they where been shot at Bucky tries to block the bullets with his arm but Steve comes up and protects him, he wouldn’t even have had time to think he just needed to help Bucky.
Edit: and if you watch it at 0.25 playback speed you can see Steve put his arm around Bucky as well!

I'm still mad about Endgame. Like, I get Steve and Peggy liked each other, but Peggy moved on, got married, and had her own kids. Steve going back in time to Peggy means her husband and kids no longer exist. Steve could've stayed in the 21st century with Bucky and passed to shield to Sam. Peggy already had her own life, while Bucky has nothing, and Steve still left his best man.
This hurt more than it should have considering these are fictional characters. I don't care though. This definitely got the emotions going. In Yelena Belova's words, "It was real to me."
Oh no oh no oh no.....I can't even see what I'm typing right now. This hurts so much but it's still so SO good. How one could see anything else besides deep, unconditional love between those two is completely beyond me. Thank you for creating this emotional beauty!

@@mythicaldragon6803 this! this is exactly how i think of them, but, unfortunately, the writers nowadays have no idea how to show and, most importantly, honour that kind of love on screen, because they're so afraid of shippers or because they think that romantic and sexual love is always more important than platonic. but it's so sad because they created an exceptional example of platonic love with steve and bucky but then ruined it just because they were too blind to see its beauty, strength and meaningfulness. smh

At the end of the video, I almost started to cry. One thing that I think would have done to make me actually cry was used Steve shaking Sam's hand with the wedding ring on for, "my hands are tied," at the end of the song.

@@thaliabauendahl1219 I read about an theory somewhere, that cap didn't just went and lived his retirement. He actually tried to set things right, the dance with Peggy is just one minor part. But cap found that he can't, any time he try to change some thing important, it only get worse. And cap kind of get trapped in the past, but at last he decided to let go and use his last time to say goodbye to the ones that's been waiting for him.
And Bucky just know cap sooo damned well, he kinda guessed what Cap's gonna do before he went. And he knows what happened when cap came back old.
Cap, for the first time, did something only for himself.
It's not a perfect ending, but at least better than the trash reason they give us... And honestly how hard is it to do something like that, just add a forsaken bit of logic and reason...
@@victormillen8393 Yes... and I love those theories that try to fix Endgame. I just had a similar and worse experience with the Sherlock BBC fandom. John and Sherlock's relationship became so important to me and so many other people and at the end of the series the authors ended up with such a poorly written story and we all feel cheated. It may seem silly, but sometimes a character becomes so important to us because we learn from him and he inspires us to be someone better, and he can still help us deal with our traumas without hurting anyone, and have his story so badly written it really hurts. And I'm just tired of it and I can't think the Russo brothers wanted to do anything better, they just at best, didn't care enough about Bucky and Steve to do something worthy. At worst, they know what they are doing and have purposely separated them. But the amazing thing is that these characters are no longer just theirs, now they belong to each of us and there are so many fan works that are great and just as valid. I think of Endgame as an alternative universe, and nobody can take that love from us now.

I love how this song is being used here for two best friends whose lives tried to force them to be enemies, but in the end, they were loyal to each other and Steve never gave up on Bucky, his oldest friend. Their impossible friendship wasn't impossible, the world just told them so and they refused to accept it.
