thanks so much for helping me get valuable and direct tutorial. I hate tutorials that take too long and don't have enough info or irrelevant info. You are super helpful Jeff! Keep it up!
Greetings Jeff so my Moonlite arrived yesterday I believe I have everything set up correctly with one exception, how did you CRMX the Moonlite to the Astera as you mention in the video and I apologize for being such a notice lol I hope this thread can also help anyone else out there struggle as I am to grasp this awesome set up.
All of the lights on the AsteraBox flash on for 5 seconds then off for 5 seconds until the box dies, that is it's only function, do you know what is wrong with it?
Hello Jeff! Did these come with the AC cables to connect each light tube to the power supply? Or did you have to purchase seperately? If so, what size cable?
Thanks for the video Jeff, I was unfamiliar with the DMX configurator, I've always used the magic wand. We ran into that MAX 100% issue, not after a few hours though, probably within a half hour the tubes right next to each other were showing different output levels. Based on that I would not recommend using MAX unless you absolutely need that output, and only for short bursts, like in a flashing effect where it won't be staying at that 100% level. I am unclear if the case multicharger has enough output to overcome that issue, maybe you know. I was also trying to get an official answer at what battery hour level can you guarantee that the 100% level will not dip while on the wall wart chargers. PS, what is it about UA-cam videos that makes people say "go ahead" so much? Watch the video and try to count, I bet you lose track🤣
Hey Jeff, Ihave a question about to link any DMX universes with asterabox at Blackout. I nead one AsteraBox to one kit Titan? The AKS command only one universes, rigth? Thank you!!!
The Art7 and AKS can both transmit 1U so however many lights you can fit in that one universe. You could have 70 asteras on one Universe depending on the DMX mode
@@juanpablovierabesio3100 the art7 only takes DMX in so you have to plug it into a gateway. Checkout my video on hardware connection to see how that works.
great turorial.is there an efficient way to not even use the astera box and the app at all in order to get the tubes running in blackout?or is it just a matter of getting all the tubes set up and addressed correctly before even touching blackout?
It’s all about getting them setup so you can use them in Blackout. Right now it’s easiest to set them up via the app but you can do everything on the tube itself technically
His Jeff. I just wanna ask so for the Moonlite I just need to connect it to the Astera box straight away and then I connect the Moonlite via bluetooth to my iPad to use it on blackout is that so??
Hi. Take a look at 4:31 - you can only control the Asteras via their app through their Art7 box. If you want to control the Asteras via Moonlite or Ratpack AKS or WDMX TX or anything else you have to use a console such as Blackout, ETC, GrandMA, Hog... you pair the lights directly to a CRMX TX via the link button as I show you at 15:39
@@blackoutapp ohh okok Thanks for the info. Cause I'm new to DMX blackout and still learning it so thanks for the info and thanks for this great app ^_^
Greetings Jeff, I followed your suggestions with setting up the titans to be used with Blackout and my titans read CRMX: NO DMX?!? and when I attempted to flash the lights in Blackout like you demonstrated nothing happened and Im thinking did I miss a setting up step?

Jeff, you helped me out so many times with this video. Thank you very much!

Nice thanks for this Jeff great to see how you approach stuff do you use the quasar rainbows much ?
We don't see them too much here on the East Coast so I'm not super familiar with them

Ha I guess I never realized but it's embarrassing how many times when in front of the camera I say "umm" 🙄 . Great note about the MAX level!

question, does BLACKOUT has the BPM function like the Astera app ? i'd like to sometimes let them run on their own in selected scene/chase. Thanks

MCM Films Production Company is blackout connected to your transmitter via WiFi or Bluetooth? What does your hardware setup involve?

MCM Films Production Company yes you need a CRMX transmitter to talk to the tubes. The Astera box is a separate protocol for their app control
