At 85, this 'Buzaeg' has such a great memory. He is alert, awake calm, composed, and intelligent. Can anybody say how is he so awakened physically and mentally? The answer is that he is not preoccupied and ruled by his mind. He will be at best concerned about his two simple meals, which must be coming to him anyway, and the rest, he is nothing but consciousness. When you are conscious, you are very wise and powerful. He is experiencing his true self and that is all about Tassawuf. Tassawuf is no separate 'Deen'. It is a philosophy that teaches you the art of living, not with five physical senses alone but with your 'inner sense' that accesses the hidden facts of the universe. Inner sense or consciousness is not a physical entity but it is a spiritual sense that when heightened hears and sees. When Sufi poets use ' ears see' and 'eyes hear', it does not mean so literally. It is the hidden sense that receives the intuition, whether through words or images. Spiritual sense has no ears or eyes but it still hears and sees the images. How would a poet express it? The language is limited in its reach and expression. So the poet uses the worldly words to express it but a little twisted. I do not know why NIssar Ahmad Sofi, the interviewer is asking this question to everyone he speaks to. What is the answer he wants to get? There is nothing hidden in such an 'Istillah of language'' and should not be made look so big. I learn a lot from these interviews and always look for one more. Nissar Sahib is doing a good job. He reaches these Sufis and talks comfortably with them with complete unity. That makes it beautiful. Good job dome by Kashmir Sufism.
