Superb shots, great video! :)
@@jammiebeasts thanks 👍
A super video of the class 37 working hard. Amazing sights and sounds. 👍
@@allan5919 thanks
Great catch!
@@ACETrainsUK thanks 👍
Absolute power house, pulling that lot solo 💪🏻 I can just imagine that heavy diesel smell 👌🏻
Although it is a long load, it is a light load - sort of thing Class 37’s handle well 👍
@@andrewbrown6786 it’s the 37 that sparked my interest in locomotives, more on a engineering level. Unfortunately I never see one coming through knottingley where I live it’s all 66. Although I did manage to film a couple of 37’s when I were in castleford.
@@peterthornton2396 Gosh, Knottingley used to see Class 37’s - but that was before Y2K. A F/L from Felixstowe to Leeds and return was worked by double headed 37’s - and Knottingley was an approved route for those services. They were not comfortable to work, but they were as reliable as you could hope for 👍
@@andrewbrown6786 yes from what I understand it was a busy little yard at knottingley, there is one class 60 that comes through daily which is quite refreshing! The 60 sounds like thunder and has that wonderful heavy diesel smell when it passes.
She's been sitting in Chesters Middle Yard the last couple of days, I think it might have something to do with Rhyl but I'm not quite sure, 3 times I've seen her there either on the way to Liverpool or coming back but not there on the other journey. She's hitched to one of the banana measurement trains so not sure what she's up to. That is one long train, beautiful video of her emerging from the fog.
Yep she been on a network rail test train recently around the Chester area
Sure was an epic slog. 22 vehicles in all! I wonder how much delay that caused to other trains 😁
The signaller was very generous and kept it going it did delay one or two passengers services by a few minutes as it's max speed was 45mph.
You could hear the damn thing coming for miles 👍
It sure was loud! specially at Shawford where it was very quiet.
