yuji probably has an heavenly restriction, thats the reason he was able supress Sukuna's soul, I say this because if you remember how Toji ended up in Shibuya his body was able to resist the guy's "soul". Yuji literally says "well this is my body" when Sukuna is confused to how Yuji surpressed him
Here's an interesting angle. Negative emotions = cursed energy. Yuji was kept so happy as a child so that not only could he be a heavenly restriction with very little cursed energy, he wouldn't ever create anymore of his own except for the barest minimum needed for Yuji to be a sorcerer. However, Yuji is also a cured object, so if he has none of his own energy to oppose absorbing Sukuna's, then literally all of Yuji's cursed energy we see him using is Sukuna's. It could also explain why Sukuna calls Yuji specifically a "half assed brat" and why he shows indifference or respect to everyone else, but raw hatred to Yuji. Its because Sukuna can't stand seeing someone using such a weak application of his own energy, yet always coming back to fight him again no matter how many times he gets turned to red pulp.

In chapter 1 megumi says that the exceptions to seeing curses are right before death or in special places "like this". Either the school is special or (more likely) because of sukuna's finger the school was temporarily special. Megumi also stated that Itadori wasn't using cursed energy early and speculated that he was like maki. It is unlikely that yuji had CE until he ate the finger.
Yuji was most likely born with a broken cursed technique like sukuna’s however kenjaku removed it to give him a way stronger body with a large pool of cursed energy without a technique. He more so gains techniques by eating them as a storage container hence how he has blood manipulation. Plus him being able to hit the soul is already broken so he doesn’t really need more cursed techniques
We are going to get a flash back of kenjaku seeing toji and going “this was my lightbulb in my head the missing piece of the puzzle that was to be the perfect creation, jujutsu and the body” something like that
I was going to add this exact idea into the video but it ended up getting a bit waffly. Kenjaku is heavily tied to Tengen and the star religious group, who are tied to Yuki, who has communicated with Toji before hidden inventory and done soul research. When you connect all the dots Toji could literally be Kenjaku's inspiration for Yuji.

Thus making him insanely strong, fast and durable as a base. However, being a perfected Deathwomb Painting himself, Yuji is half human and half Cursed Spirit overall. Which may allow a means to bypass the restriction a little. The human half from his father was a Sorcerer if I recall, thus would have the potential to inherit his inate Curse Technique. Trading that for the strenthened Soul is basically a recreation of Maki. That said, it's likely that Yuji is similar to Maki and Mai but in one body. The Cursed Spirit side being the Mai component that limits his Body's "output" or "potential" in Yuji's Heavenly Restriction. As it affects the Body without dampening his Souls overeall strength, in Mai and Maki's case the Soul was split between them as seperate Body's making each of them weaker in Soul by comparison as a result. Maki clearly had the lionesses share of the Soul, given the Heavenly Restriction. Mai was comparatively weak willed and scared of everything. Mai was only ever able to put her all into the forging of the Soulsplitter, which likely is her part of the Soul now manifested through her Cursed Technique. Maki is essentially complete when weilding the Soulsplitter. I suspect she would be weakened when separated from it, but thats speculative. Yuji is likely similarly made from the combination of twins, one a Heavenly Restricted human and the other being a Cursedwomb painting etched with Kenjaku's more basic form, compared to Idle Transfiguration, of the Soul Manipulation Technique he uses. The difference between Maki & Mai and Yuji's Twin fusion being that Yuji's Mai counterpart is a form of Cursed Spirit. As such it is essentially made from and thrives on Cursed Energy, Negative Emotions specifically. As far as we know, Yuiji's upbringing was happy, positive and not filled with Negative Emotions until the night he ate Sukuna's Finger. Being so close to the unsealed finger is likely what "activated", or rather fed, the Cursed Spirit part of Yuji enough so he could see the other Cursed Spirits that night. The Cursed Energy and other Cursed Spirits around him before that likely didn't trigger this due to Kenjaku imposing some form Binding Vow on it only accepting nourishment from Sukuna's Cursed Energy. The Vow likely involved Yuji having to endure and carry Curses imposed to his Human half, which in turn strengthens the Cursed Spirit side of him while not decreasing his already limited raw physical abilities due to his strong Soul being able to bare the Burden of those Curses. It made him the perfect cage for Sukuna, one that only got stronger the longer Sukuna remained and the more of Sukuna's Soul was contained within. Sukuna's big brain gamble with that Binding Vow he made with Yuji allowed him to escape his prison before it became too late to be able to do so. Sukuna is smart enough that he would have realised that his cage was only getting stronger with each ginger consumed, likely immediately realising it when he ate the Second Finger. Thus he probably resolved to attempt to make the gamble of losing two parts of his Soul if Yuji chose to remain dead while also eyeing off Megumi as a potential new host Body in order to deal with Gojo. Yuji eating every Cured Object, including the remaining Deathwomb paintings, he could was a means to further empower his Cursed Spirit side. The notes on the Soul, in addition to Choso's help in understanding what he is, likely led to him being able to harness the Soul Swap ability etched onto his Cursed Spirit side. His inate Deathwomb Cursed Technique, being similar in nature to his siblings, are inate Techniques etched onto their Soul's as they are derived from being partially Cursed Spirits. Cursed Spirit's don't appear to use Cursed Techniques like Human Sorcerers do, nor do they seem to have the same origins of where they stem from. Their Techniques appear to be a natural extension of their own body, functionally no different than the act of walking or breathing. Meaning, they appear to be etched on their Soul's rather than their Brains like human Sorcerer's. This allows Yuji's body to technically bypass the Heavenly Restriction, as the Technique and accumulated Cursed Energy is physically part of him and etched onto part of his Soul rather than his Brain. Technically, empowering the Cursed Spirit side of him is also raising the baseline Strength, Speed and Durability of his Body as it's Strengthening part of his Soul. As the Heavenly Restriction's Physical Enhancment scales based on the Strength of Yuji's Soul, even increasing the non-restricted Cursed Spirit side would increase the baseline physical enhancment proportionally as well. Sukuna was essentially a Third Soul added to the mix, which ultimately imposed a heftier Limitation from the Heavenly Restriction, as his Soul was not integrated or intwined like the Human and Cursed Spirit halves are. Thus, Yuji suffered a similar weakening effect to Maki and Mai. We saw this dramatic increase in physical ability from Yuji only after Sukuna jumped into Megumi's body. It even shocked Sukuna for a second, questioning where this dramatic increase in physical ability came from. Sukuna put it all together shortly after Yuji's initial attacks though, what with him saying Kenjaku does the grossest things. Sukuna realised exactly what Yuji was at that point. More or less gathering how Kenjaku made Yuji how he is, if not knowing the full extent or the specifics. It's likely why Sukuna is always disappointed with Yuji's attempts. They are failing to love up to the potential Sukuna is expecting of such a creation. Which comes off as him being irritated by and dismissive of Yuji failing to live up to his expectation of such potential. His fight's with Gojo, Maki and Rika (Yuta was an attached bonus basically) were all him testing the heights of the different aspects that make Yuji's what he is. The Strongest of Human Socerers, the peak of Physically gifted Heavenly Restricted individuals and the Queen of Curses herself. Essentially the peak of Mind, Body and Soul in the modern era. Sukuna likely expects Yuji to be able to surpass all three, but is dissatisfied that Yuji falls short in all three aspects. They are not working in harmony with each other within him; As such, each fail to reach their full potential as a result. There was a spark of them working in harmony back when Sukuna stole Megumi's body, but Yuji hasn't seemed to have gotten that balance back since. That's exciting for Sukuna, but Yuji is failing to deliver and only making Sukuna bored and irritated. At least, that's my suspicion in regard to Yuji and Sukuna. Sukuna likely has a similar origin, he likely ate his own twin brother. Gaining his additional arms, mouth and eyes. Essentially this would mirror Yuji's existence of being twins that are entwined. But different in that Sukuna likely ate his brother later in life in order to overcome the inherent limitation of being a twin, by absorbing his twin rather than one sacrificing themselves like with Maki & Mai. Though with Yuji, it was planned and manipulated to happen within Yuji's Mothers womb, clearly due to Kenjaku being the one in control of his Mothers Body at the time obviously. So it's more or less that they are similar, so Sukuna expects at least the same potential strength from Yuji as himself. For now though, Yuji is just Kenjakus latest failed attempt to replicate Sukuna's overall strength to Sukuna basically.

Remember yuji's cursed energy aspect is a delayed hit which todo views as "wrong" meaning yuji's body probably has to spend some time trying to figure out what he is before working. Basically a bug in the code that eventually passes off as a feature. Maybe Yuji's body isn't heavenly restricted - maybe it's his soul. Instead of having a "perfected" body like Maki, he has a "perfected" soul. And since the body and soul are closely interconnected, Yuji's body in turn is incredibly strong as well.
Yujis suffering is the best part of the series. It's raw relatable and extremely human for a world filled with entities and deities. It grounds the characters for us. Yujis plot line isn't over he hasn't overcome that suffering but according to your logic we should drop plot lines out right that would be better right? Or maybe just maybe the pro writer celebrity is superior to you in writing and actually knows what he's doing.
I also think sukunas ct has a binding vow for some reason and when people attack him he gets to just go all out cause the whole thing about being a sorcerer is hiding their true technique and that probably could explain heavenly restoration and them being prideful about having physical prowess

I think yujis name is also some kind of symbolism as I think grandfather gave him his name with yuji, meaning, caring and relaxed and his surname itadori means a berry that acts as a medicine for pain, relief and the incident at the school in the first arc where in kenjaku set up the curse object in a shrine basically inviting you to eat it.
about how the fingers, it's the same as being able to use a lighter, most people don't really know there's a gas, a flint and a spark to the process, they just know they flip that shit and then there's fire, if not, it's out of fuel. Kenjaku taught Sukuna how to split, not what the logic and process behind it. Also Idk if there's a lack of better wording for translation but Maki being able to perceive the soul is odd at best, either she can do that due to how her "soul" was in a way split into two people, or the translation does not match the native language.
I think Maki perceiving the soul makes total sense. It would be no different to how her and Toji can ‘see’ curses because they see literally everything but the curse and therefore are aware of what isn’t there… if that makes any sense.

On the topic of Yuji having little cursed energy Whenever his club mates from the beginning of the show would go out to haunted areas they would always bring Yuji along and nothing bad would happen. This might be because Yuji has some sort of presence as a powerful creature whether thats stength or cursed energy.
@Allons-Y You honestly are cooking with your though process on this. However, the clip you show at 10:40 shows both the slahes of MS and the fire from Fuga, so him having the ability to switch out his innate technique doesn't line up with that. What I'm thinking is that Fuga contains particular cursed techniques that he takes from other people. As an example, if he ate Gojo, he could learn either the Blue, or the Red application of the Limitless technique. That way he just has extra tools he can pull out, but not the ability to fully switch up is moveset. Also, i don't think it's correct to say he didn't go all out against Gojo. Uraume says the Sukuna's output fluctuates/lowers when facing those he is not interested in. In his fight with Gojo, Gojo notes that Sukuna's output actually increased while they were fighting, so this would imply Sukuna was taking Gojo seriously. I don't think that there was any point throughout the fight where anyone can say Sukuna was holding back. I agree that Sukuna was fighting riskier, but that does not equate to him holding back. He was using everything he had in his arsenal that was viable (which isn't a lot of things) to fulfill the plan he had. I imagine that the balancing act Sukuna was doing with adapting Mahoraga went like this. Whenever he's up close with Gojo he used DA to attack Gojo, and lessen the damage from his blue laced punches (we can't neutralize them cause Sukuna says himself that DA isn't strong enough to do that when his by Gojo's Red). When he got some distance between them he turns off DA and allows Maho to continue the adaptation process. he flips back and forth between them, explaining why it (apparently) takes longer to adapt to UV compared to Infinity. Though that may also come down to the fact that UV is a far more complicated technique than Infinity, therefore needing more time. All I'm saying is that he definitely had his hands full with Gojo, and nobody afterward provided a unique challenge except Maki

1:18 That was not sukuna's doing. That was Kenjaku. It was him who split Sukuna into 20. We dont know if the specifications were made my Sukuna or Kenny, but it was indeed Kenny who turned Sukuna into a cursed object. Sukuna himself learned from this and replicated it with Megumi

This might also explain the “queen and king of curses” titles. Since rukia, like Sukuna needs to eat other pieces of cursed energy to copy abilities for yuta. Both Sukuna and rukia also have “bottomless” cursed energy. Revealing even more about why Yuta is considered so prodigious, because he shares a similar technique to Sukuna that maximizes cursed energy control. These parallels are too accurate to dismiss. This theory makes me think that gojo planned for sukuna the same way toji planned for gojo. Apparently, that's all sorcerers do. Gojo might come back when sukuna least expects it. If Yuji had Heavenly Restriction: Physical Gifted his body would get weaker as he gained more cursed energy. He might have been made with some sort of binding vow though. Kokichi, after gaining a normal body, was forced to use cursed energy he'd saved up over the years he was crippled. I think his stock dropped and he had to rely on what he'd already stored up.

I actually just got done learning the story of the White tiger and the Dragon and made the same connections.😅 But in all seriousness I too believe that Sukuna made a big mistake ignoring Yuji because he's not taking into account that Yuji is still alive. However, he is aware of him because he states that Yuji will be his equal because of his ideal, so his goal is to break him before that happens. Sukuna never held an ideal until Yuji which he has decided to become the opposite of and now I can't see the last fight without Yuji. In fact I think that Yuji's CT is going to different from Sukuna's due to their difference in ideals. I also have a whole thing about why Yuji prestige in CE and Gojo's limitless are similar, but I'll save that complex explanation.
You're wrong about Mechamaro. When he fixed his body he could only use 17 years worth of curse energy. Even Kenjaku said it when he was explaining binding vows to Mahito. So no. When somebody breaks the binding vow, they lose whatever they had. The reason Mechamaro could use curse energy after transfiguration was because he lived for 17 years in his previous body.
Quick comment about Sukuna’s soul being transferred to fingers. The original 20 fingers was done by Kenjaku. Then Sukuna replicated that process to Transfer from Yuji to Megumi using his finger.

If you have absolutely 0 CE, you can see curses. If you have very little CE, you can't. That's why Maki couldn't before (she needed glasses) and can now.

I think is the balance one, maki epitome of physical capacity, sakuna is of curse. Gojo of sorcerer, yuji must have all these in perfect balance which creating string soul, and yuji is second close to maki, but has curse energy so i think his sacrifice is curse technique.

I don't think Sukuna gained awareness of the soul exactly, more like he was able to see the counters of his soul to be precise. I think he was always aware of his soul and personally think he uses his soul to attack and change his techniques properties

Here's an interesting angle. Negative emotions = cursed energy. Yuji was kept so happy as a child so that not only could he be a heavenly restriction with very little cursed energy, he wouldn't ever create anymore of his own except for the barest minimum needed for Yuji to be a sorcerer. However, Yuji is also a cured object, so if he has none of his own energy to oppose absorbing Sukuna's, then literally all of Yuji's cursed energy we see him using is Sukuna's. It could also explain why Sukuna calls Yuji specifically a "half assed brat" and why he shows indifference or respect to everyone else, but raw hatred to Yuji. Its because Sukuna can't stand seeing someone using such a weak application of his own energy, yet always coming back to fight him again no matter how many times he gets turned to red pulp.

The heavenly restriction theory makes sense, even in the name *heavenly restriction* as in you are restricted from heaven aka jujutsu
In chapter 1 megumi says that the exceptions to seeing curses are right before death or in special places "like this". Either the school is special or (more likely) because of sukuna's finger the school was temporarily special. Megumi also stated that Itadori wasn't using cursed energy early and speculated that he was like maki. It is unlikely that yuji had CE until he ate the finger.
Yuji was most likely born with a broken cursed technique like sukuna’s however kenjaku removed it to give him a way stronger body with a large pool of cursed energy without a technique. He more so gains techniques by eating them as a storage container hence how he has blood manipulation. Plus him being able to hit the soul is already broken so he doesn’t really need more cursed techniques
We are going to get a flash back of kenjaku seeing toji and going “this was my lightbulb in my head the missing piece of the puzzle that was to be the perfect creation, jujutsu and the body” something like that
I was going to add this exact idea into the video but it ended up getting a bit waffly. Kenjaku is heavily tied to Tengen and the star religious group, who are tied to Yuki, who has communicated with Toji before hidden inventory and done soul research. When you connect all the dots Toji could literally be Kenjaku's inspiration for Yuji.

Interesting proposition overall, Kenjaku likely had imposed the Heavenly Restiction with a precise restriction on Yuji's potential to inherit a CT and its accompanying inherit Cursed Energey in exchange for a stronger Soul. Thus making him insanely strong, fast and durable as a base.
However, being a perfected Deathwomb Painting himself, Yuji is half human and half Cursed Spirit overall. Which may allow a means to bypass the restriction a little.
The human half from his father was a Sorcerer if I recall, thus would have the potential to inherit his inate Curse Technique. Trading that for the strenthened Soul is basically a recreation of Maki.
That said, it's likely that Yuji is similar to Maki and Mai but in one body.
The Cursed Spirit side being the Mai component that limits his Body's "output" or "potential" in Yuji's Heavenly Restriction.
As it affects the Body without dampening his Souls overeall strength, in Mai and Maki's case the Soul was split between them as seperate Body's making each of them weaker in Soul by comparison as a result.
Maki clearly had the lionesses share of the Soul, given the Heavenly Restriction. Mai was comparatively weak willed and scared of everything. Mai was only ever able to put her all into the forging of the Soulsplitter, which likely is her part of the Soul now manifested through her Cursed Technique.
Maki is essentially complete when weilding the Soulsplitter. I suspect she would be weakened when separated from it, but thats speculative.
Yuji is likely similarly made from the combination of twins, one a Heavenly Restricted human and the other being a Cursedwomb painting etched with Kenjaku's more basic form, compared to Idle Transfiguration, of the Soul Manipulation Technique he uses.
The difference between Maki & Mai and Yuji's Twin fusion being that Yuji's Mai counterpart is a form of Cursed Spirit.
As such it is essentially made from and thrives on Cursed Energy, Negative Emotions specifically.
As far as we know, Yuiji's upbringing was happy, positive and not filled with Negative Emotions until the night he ate Sukuna's Finger.
Being so close to the unsealed finger is likely what "activated", or rather fed, the Cursed Spirit part of Yuji enough so he could see the other Cursed Spirits that night.
The Cursed Energy and other Cursed Spirits around him before that likely didn't trigger this due to Kenjaku imposing some form Binding Vow on it only accepting nourishment from Sukuna's Cursed Energy.
The Vow likely involved Yuji having to endure and carry Curses imposed to his Human half, which in turn strengthens the Cursed Spirit side of him while not decreasing his already limited raw physical abilities due to his strong Soul being able to bare the Burden of those Curses.
It made him the perfect cage for Sukuna, one that only got stronger the longer Sukuna remained and the more of Sukuna's Soul was contained within.
Sukuna's big brain gamble with that Binding Vow he made with Yuji allowed him to escape his prison before it became too late to be able to do so.
Sukuna is smart enough that he would have realised that his cage was only getting stronger with each ginger consumed, likely immediately realising it when he ate the Second Finger.
Thus he probably resolved to attempt to make the gamble of losing two parts of his Soul if Yuji chose to remain dead while also eyeing off Megumi as a potential new host Body in order to deal with Gojo.
Yuji eating every Cured Object, including the remaining Deathwomb paintings, he could was a means to further empower his Cursed Spirit side.
The notes on the Soul, in addition to Choso's help in understanding what he is, likely led to him being able to harness the Soul Swap ability etched onto his Cursed Spirit side.
His inate Deathwomb Cursed Technique, being similar in nature to his siblings, are inate Techniques etched onto their Soul's as they are derived from being partially Cursed Spirits.
Cursed Spirit's don't appear to use Cursed Techniques like Human Sorcerers do, nor do they seem to have the same origins of where they stem from.
Their Techniques appear to be a natural extension of their own body, functionally no different than the act of walking or breathing. Meaning, they appear to be etched on their Soul's rather than their Brains like human Sorcerer's.
This allows Yuji's body to technically bypass the Heavenly Restriction, as the Technique and accumulated Cursed Energy is physically part of him and etched onto part of his Soul rather than his Brain.
Technically, empowering the Cursed Spirit side of him is also raising the baseline Strength, Speed and Durability of his Body as it's Strengthening part of his Soul.
As the Heavenly Restriction's Physical Enhancment scales based on the Strength of Yuji's Soul, even increasing the non-restricted Cursed Spirit side would increase the baseline physical enhancment proportionally as well.
Sukuna was essentially a Third Soul added to the mix, which ultimately imposed a heftier Limitation from the Heavenly Restriction, as his Soul was not integrated or intwined like the Human and Cursed Spirit halves are. Thus, Yuji suffered a similar weakening effect to Maki and Mai.
We saw this dramatic increase in physical ability from Yuji only after Sukuna jumped into Megumi's body.
It even shocked Sukuna for a second, questioning where this dramatic increase in physical ability came from.
Sukuna put it all together shortly after Yuji's initial attacks though, what with him saying Kenjaku does the grossest things.
Sukuna realised exactly what Yuji was at that point. More or less gathering how Kenjaku made Yuji how he is, if not knowing the full extent or the specifics.
It's likely why Sukuna is always disappointed with Yuji's attempts. They are failing to love up to the potential Sukuna is expecting of such a creation.
Which comes off as him being irritated by and dismissive of Yuji failing to live up to his expectation of such potential.
His fight's with Gojo, Maki and Rika (Yuta was an attached bonus basically) were all him testing the heights of the different aspects that make Yuji's what he is.
The Strongest of Human Socerers, the peak of Physically gifted Heavenly Restricted individuals and the Queen of Curses herself.
Essentially the peak of Mind, Body and Soul in the modern era.
Sukuna likely expects Yuji to be able to surpass all three, but is dissatisfied that Yuji falls short in all three aspects.
They are not working in harmony with each other within him; As such, each fail to reach their full potential as a result.
There was a spark of them working in harmony back when Sukuna stole Megumi's body, but Yuji hasn't seemed to have gotten that balance back since.
That's exciting for Sukuna, but Yuji is failing to deliver and only making Sukuna bored and irritated.
At least, that's my suspicion in regard to Yuji and Sukuna. Sukuna likely has a similar origin, he likely ate his own twin brother. Gaining his additional arms, mouth and eyes.
Essentially this would mirror Yuji's existence of being twins that are entwined. But different in that Sukuna likely ate his brother later in life in order to overcome the inherent limitation of being a twin, by absorbing his twin rather than one sacrificing themselves like with Maki & Mai.
Though with Yuji, it was planned and manipulated to happen within Yuji's Mothers womb, clearly due to Kenjaku being the one in control of his Mothers Body at the time obviously.
So it's more or less that they are similar, so Sukuna expects at least the same potential strength from Yuji as himself.
For now though, Yuji is just Kenjakus latest failed attempt to replicate Sukuna's overall strength to Sukuna basically.
For now he is, but I have faith Yuji will (or maybe already has) take it upon himself to push the limits and challenge Sukuna on equal footing.

Tbh it makes sense. Remember yuji's cursed energy aspect is a delayed hit which todo views as "wrong" meaning yuji's body probably has to spend some time trying to figure out what he is before working. Basically a bug in the code that eventually passes off as a feature.

Maybe Yuji's body isn't heavenly restricted - maybe it's his soul. Instead of having a "perfected" body like Maki, he has a "perfected" soul. And since the body and soul are closely interconnected, Yuji's body in turn is incredibly strong as well.

Yujis suffering is the best part of the series. It's raw relatable and extremely human for a world filled with entities and deities. It grounds the characters for us. Yujis plot line isn't over he hasn't overcome that suffering but according to your logic we should drop plot lines out right that would be better right? I think yujis name is also some kind of symbolism as I think grandfather gave him his name with yuji, meaning, caring and relaxed and his surname itadori means a berry that acts as a medicine for pain, relief and the incident at the school in the first arc where in kenjaku set up the curse object in a shrine basically inviting you to eat it.

I think Maki perceiving the soul makes total sense. It would be no different to how her and Toji can ‘see’ curses because they see literally everything but the curse and therefore are aware of what isn’t there… if that makes any sense.

@Allons-Y You honestly are cooking with your though process on this. However, the clip you show at 10:40 shows both the slahes of MS and the fire from Fuga, so him having the ability to switch out his innate technique doesn't line up with that. What I'm thinking is that Fuga contains particular cursed techniques that he takes from other people. As an example, if he ate Gojo, he could learn either the Blue, or the Red application of the Limitless technique. That way he just has extra tools he can pull out, but not the ability to fully switch up is moveset.
Also, i don't think it's correct to say he didn't go all out against Gojo. Uraume says the Sukuna's output fluctuates/lowers when facing those he is not interested in. In his fight with Gojo, Gojo notes that Sukuna's output actually increased while they were fighting, so this would imply Sukuna was taking Gojo seriously. I don't think that there was any point throughout the fight where anyone can say Sukuna was holding back. I agree that Sukuna was fighting riskier, but that does not equate to him holding back. He was using everything he had in his arsenal that was viable (which isn't a lot of things) to fulfill the plan he had. I imagine that the balancing act Sukuna was doing with adapting Mahoraga went like this. Whenever he's up close with Gojo he used DA to attack Gojo, and lessen the damage from his blue laced punches (we can't neutralize them cause Sukuna says himself that DA isn't strong enough to do that when his by Gojo's Red). When he got some distance between them he turns off DA and allows Maho to continue the adaptation process. he flips back and forth between them, explaining why it (apparently) takes longer to adapt to UV compared to Infinity. Though that may also come down to the fact that UV is a far more complicated technique than Infinity, therefore needing more time. All I'm saying is that he definitely had his hands full with Gojo, and nobody afterward provided a unique challenge except Maki

But in all seriousness I too believe that Sukuna made a big mistake ignoring Yuji because he's not taking into account that Yuji is still alive. However, he is aware of him because he states that Yuji will be his equal because of his ideal, so his goal is to break him before that happens. Sukuna never held an ideal until Yuji which he has decided to become the opposite of and now I can't see the last fight without Yuji. In fact I think that Yuji's CT is going to different from Sukuna's due to their difference in ideals. I also have a whole thing about why Yuji prestige in CE and Gojo's limitless are similar, but I'll save that complex explanation.

So no. When somebody breaks the binding vow, they lose whatever they had. The reason Mechamaro could use curse energy after transfiguration was because he lived for 17 years in his previous body.
Quick comment about Sukuna’s soul being transferred to fingers. The original 20 fingers was done by Kenjaku. Then Sukuna replicated that process to Transfer from Yuji to Megumi using his finger.

I think is the balance one, maki epitome of physical capacity, sakuna is of curse. Gojo of sorcerer, yuji must have all these in perfect balance which creating string soul, and yuji is second close to maki, but has curse energy so i think his sacrifice is curse technique.
i’ve been thinking for a while kenjaku created yuji as a vessel for something. i also believe yuji ate all his brothers which is why he can use the blood manipulation now. yuji may be kenjakus perfection as he was okay with dying too
I don't think Sukuna gained awareness of the soul exactly, more like he was able to see the counters of his soul to be precise. I think he was always aware of his soul and personally think he uses his soul to attack and change his techniques properties
I have been thinking for years that somehow Kenjaku imposed some restriction on Yuji to either seal or take his technique or CE to create the vessel capabilities, but his jumps in energy really made me question that lol
