That bracelet is made up of antique slides. They were given on a special occasion and added to the bracelet one by one and each usually had a significance. Each slide is precious in and of itself. The slides are added by a jeweler until it is filled to the size of the owner's wrist. The one you were given is beautiful.

I used to play with paper dolls as a kid, i also used to design the clothes for my dolls. To try and keep my dolls from ripping i would glue them on to card board and cut around the outline, so much fun

Me too! I also got a handmade felt doll from my mama for Christmas one year. She had many felt clothes and had a felt board that was shaped like a house with felt furniture! Such a sweet gift. We okayed with it until it all fell apart. Such a lovely memory!

I always find the thoughtfulness of each gift so inspiring and they elicit joy, not only for those receiving, but for those giving and those of us who enjoy watching. It's always a reminder that there are indeed good people amongst those who try not to spread joy. The funds cadeaux shares keeps the joy flowing - to me that is awesome and supersedes all.
I wonder if Pavlina knows how to create those lovely Ukrainian Easter Eggs. I would love to see her create one if so. I once tried to make one and it certainly is a difficult art to create.

So many delightful things in our world. The Ladybird being one of them... it is in fact a beetle ... so therefore it is technically the Ladybird Beetle 🐞... so to be picky Ladybug is another cute name but not technically a bug... bugs are a different group of insects. Only saying as I find it interesting.. it doesn't really matter... lovely to learn of such different and grand names around the world for such a tiny wee creature ❤

Loved all the gifts! So unique and special. It’s wonderful to think of each person carefully selecting these gifts to express their appreciation of all the wonderful LaLanders who spread such happiness to us all.
For your information the city of Bendigo was built as a result of the Australian Gold Rush. Australia was one of the wealthiest nations in the world at that time due to the gold rush and mining of other resources such as silver, iron ore and copper. Those chairs are unique Australian antique chairs. The cottage is so beautiful and looks lovingly restored and furnished. And yes it’s wonderful to see a viewer’s home.
I imagine Philip may take up dresser styling changes as well as table settings once he sees that book! 🤣😂
Bendigo is currently experiencing floods along with many other parts of Australia. Approximately half of Australia is affected which is a huge area when you consider Australia is the same size as the USA.
My best wishes to all Australians affected from a South Australian! 😘😘
