Everyone was immediately freaking out about Mauga, or Ramattra...but Zarya slipped under the radar. So far in the 2 days since the patch and the games I've played, She's back to being annoying af with endless bubbles.
Fr dva ram and zarya are pretty good rn Mauga dies without shout and if he is good just use dva or sigma to counter
She just got nerfed in the new patch notes

i remember watching this on twitch and seeing everyone be like "HURRDURR MAUGA ISN'T OP" meanwhile the entire time they retook it was because their torb was full blasting onto cyx, we saw like, five times beforehand hog completely decimating mauga. and every death was caused because torb was just shredding cyx faster then he expected.
low ranked people just don't understand the importance of mauga's sustain, and think he's just a shredder, when in reality his damage isn't THAT impressive, and its the sustain that keeps him alive...and by just...using a simple tank ability you cut off that sustain. and almost every tank can cut it off now. i think junker queen is the only one that CAN'T cut it off, and thats saying something because shes the only one that mauga struggles to hit regardless.
dva matrix, doom and winston jump, ball grapple away, hog vape, orisa fortify/spin, rein shield, ram shield, sig shield/succ, zar bubbles, literally every tank can easily outplay cardiac, they couldn't with 5 seconds, but 3 seconds is EASY to manage. and without cardiac, mauga is just too frail to do anything. he's not BAD, but he's definitely WORSE then before. im pretty sure they actually DID nerf his cardiac to 3 seconds in the past, and it literally turned him into the worst tank in the game, which is why it got reverted, and i think thats likely why they compensated this nerf, because we have prior knowledge that 5 to 3 seconds is a MASSIVE nerf.

Dva can be really annoying for sure, but I'm finding that you can even play more characters into her than into Winston. Winston forces you to play Anti-dive, or you lose. And even then, Anti-dive isn't very strong against him with tank busters no longer existing. Winston forces a situation where either your tank swaps to cc and you swap to mobility/knockback, or you lose. A Winston dive comp is one of the worst things I have to play against rn
Many players and some of those content creators exagerated Mauga's changes as a buff with videos of unrealistic situations lol. Dva is the strong one for this patch.
Dva is definitely the strongest after this patch most Overwatch streamers were crying about nothing if anything Mauga can be countered by dva sigma and now Zarya who’s the 2nd best tank
Nah mauga can actually now tank a whole hog and a nano damage boosted bastion yeah the 3 seconds is probably the biggest thing but overall he becomes virtually unkillable for 3 seconds sigma dva and zarya probably are the clear winners of this patch and mauga is more on the niche side but it definitely makes the roadhog matchup even worse considering hog is worse into armor and the he mauga changes coupled with that doesn’t help people are just using shout poorly now it’s something that should be used to save your life or when you are low health

You shouldve seen the tik tok comments i was getting. Left and right people saying its a buff and that i must be in bronze and im just rubbing my head in agony. Currently t500 in this season on console btw XD
@@ionicvortex6080It is a buff, th fact that Defense Matrix is a dumbass ability doesn't make 100% life steal fair. Any Mauga player that isn't an idiot (rare yes, but possible) can body basically any brawl tank by just not being trigger happy with their Cardiac.

Cyx one of the legit non-crying streamer. Bro played hog through all his lows. When Hog became viable, all the big streamers complained about him on Hog. Then all tanks get buffed and Mauga is a problem. Cyx the only one considering it a nerf lol. Everyone hard crying. But Cyx still playing hog into Mauga.

those changes are actually a buff for mauga...if only mauga players knew how to aim.
It was supposed to be, but he was still virtually unkillable before. Sure it heals more now but the play was never to try and kill him during cardiac overdrive anyway. The uptime was nerfed by 40% making his overall uptime in fights, lower.
Imagine they did it the other way around and nerfed the lifesteal from 60% to 40% but buffed the duration by 40% from 5 up to 7 seconds.
what does aim have to do with anything mauga related? he is shooting the tank when using is overdrive anyways? such a dumb comment dude
I wish Mauga could actually play at range and use aim, he's basically only effective at being a weird bastion/reaper combo in tank form

I don't think cardiac overdrive is super broken if there's no one to shoot at that 100% life doesn't do anything but if it needs a nerf I hope they drop it to 70 that seems fair to me or 75

It’s a net nerf to Mauga’s up time. It doesn’t really matter how much lifesteal Cardiac Overdrive does because you’re pretty much screwed regardless if you don’t run away. Now it’s easier to avoid, and CCing him invalidates a higher percentage of its duration. So yeah, Cardiac Overdrive lasting shorter is much more significant than the compensating buffs.
@@harrdeeharr there was some nerfs to heroes earlier today and I didn’t see Mauga in it. cyx said there was a nerf so i assumed it was something i probably didn’t see today but yall were talkin about this
@@LosrSquadmauga has less seconds with the overdrive active. You only need to Hide while mauga has the overdrive and then he is vulnerable. Its not that difficult

Mauga can heal to full health from 1 hp by just looking at a tank now.
on a tank standing still in the open not using abilities. rein and sigma shield last super long to block it. dva matrix now lasts longer than it. zarya has more bubble up time to mitigate it. queen has a better life steal and smaller hit box to make overdrive useful. the only loser here is hog, but even so, it isnt that hard to stand behind a wall for 3 seconds. mauga was net nerfed, which is a good thing
@@Megggazap So ignoring the fact that nobody playing tank higher than bronze should be standing in the open with no cover in any situation, Mauga has the highest, most consistent raw damage output out of all tanks and even most dps. Teammates exist, they can shoot shields, they can take off angles on a Dva/ even if they dont have off angles the supports will have enough time to heal Mauga to full anyways, Queens lifesteal takes literally forever and you could easily die with lifesteal up, unlike Mauga who gets 50% Damage mitigation on him while its active and he can Heal in an instant. You still don't need to use your brain on Mauga and get more value than almost anyone else easily.
@@Midahwashere when every tanks form of mitigation is increased and his is decreased the likelihood of him getting any sort of noticeable value on the ability is rare. You can say the same for Bastion’s Turret mode. His team mates could force out cool downs and make others take angles and he’d be able to melt everyone instantly right? But no. He cant. Because he moves slow as hell and people play around it. For Mauga, he doesnt move as slow, but his uptime on it is significantly worse, and its overall easier to play around. Its easy to demonstrate its capabilities in a practice range, but where have you ever seen a clip of it actually doing something in game? I’ve usually won against him way more than ever

I don’t think is much of a nerf when you can go from 0 to 700 hp simply by shooting the tank it is not a merf the only thing that keeps him from being absolutely horrible to play against I’m talking hog when he had his one shot and his secondary level of horrible is the 3 seconds duration other than that he is busted
As a top 200 sup playwr and low top 500 tank I very much can tell you it’s a nerf. It only helps lower ranked players but mauga was never good in low elo anyways

Example I’m playing reaper vs rein and I need two full mags to get rid of his armor it is frustrating while getting healed that’s basically nothing reaper was a tank buster and now he does literally peanuts for damage on the worst tank in the game. This patch genuinely ruined the game and I know about the hot fix that the did yesterday but my god it is still HORRIBLE to play reaper and reaper has been my main since ow1
@@tonympal wrong lol. Reapers damage against armor did not change reaper already got his damage reduced by armor and it can’t go any lower unless they change how armor fundamentally works.
Bastion does less damage to armor but most characters you think do less don’t.
Tbh the patch is kinda decent I think you just watch too many doomer creators who complain about it for views lol. You don’t seem to even understand how the patch works with that reaper comment. (Only his ult lost damage to armor)
And also reaper has been kinda decent for the last 2 seasons lol. Reaper isn’t really picked for tank busting that’s not how high ranked players play him. They play him to take off angles and pressure flankers/backline reaper is also good to counter tanks because they can’t kill him not that he can kill the tank. Reaper can’t be dived or rushed.
Reaper is just niche there are multiple reaper mains in the top 50-100 lol

Dva is bullshit to fight, doom just doesn’t die unless the entire team focuses him, rein has a fuck ton of armour and even if he still sucks he can still tank a lot, orisa is the only one which isn’t that great, ram is goated so he gets a pass, sig has his stupid rock combo back, hog can one shot again with his pigpen, wrecking ball if played by the right players is basically unkillable, Winston also gets a pass, mauga is fucking bs to fight and hunker queen can just get all her health back with her ult. What makes these changes balanced I’ll tell you why you are having fun because support is the easiest fucking role in the game that’s why you are having fun this patch ruined the game you are coping rn. I have been playing reaper for as long as I can remember and never in my life has a rein been a problem to kill. The armour buffs indirectly nerfed almost every dps paired with the damage nerf that reaper got and that’s why he is ass to play you can’t just ignore the fact that armour indirectly nerfed him and say that his damage nerf is the reason NO IS WITH THE ARMOUR BUFFS you think I can’t understand that? Also I know reaper is not used a tank buster you dip shit I flank with him 90% of the time he just does a lot of damage to tanks that’s why some people call him a tank buster. His ult is horrible also because you can get stunned out of it I think that you should have known that by now and it’s only affective if you catch the enemies off guard and still they can do everything to stop it mei wall ,sleep, suzu, immortality, hook etc his ult is not good in any way at all so even if it does good damage against armour you will probably never do anything against that tank because it is not hard to shut down a reaper ult you should have known that if you are t500 unless you are not. I just wanna enjoy the game and for the past 3 days I keep getting dooms destroying my back line, hogs killing all my teammates , balls not dying and I’m so more and I’m sick of this shit. How the fuck can’t they not balance a hero shooter like overwatch and fucking respawn entertainment managed to balance a game with pilots and fucking giant robots that’s just stupid man stop defending this patch it only favours the tank player
