This is such a comprehensive guide! Your 10-day road trip itinerary in Iceland covers everything - from sightseeing to food and accommodations. I love how you broke down the top 5 spots in each category, and the budget breakdown is super helpful. Iceland has been on my bucket list for a while, and your video really makes me want to start planning my trip. Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
What a fantastic job you are doing! Very engaging and providing so much useful tips, recommendations and information to anyone who wish to visit Iceland.keep it up guys. 👍
My wife and I also were in Iceland in July for 10 nights/11 days. We also flew nonstop from Denver, and rented a 2024 Toyota RAV 4 hybrid which was approved for F-roads. We rented through Northbound and MyCar, and had a similar experience to you. We stayed at more expensive hotels. One night per hotel except Reykjavik where we spent our final two nights. Kria Hotel in Vik was our favorite. Places we recommend not in this video include Myvatin Nature Baths in North Iceland, similar but less crowded than Blue Lagoon. Also, the fishing village of Siglufjordur, north of Akureyri, is off beaten path but a beautiful drive and place to see. Dynjandi was our favorite waterfall too, but Dettifoss is awesome and powerful! I highly recommend ten days in Iceland so that you’ll be assured to have enough good weather days in July. Sorry you couldn’t see Haifoss in the fog. It’s also spectacular!
Great video. You forgot to mention the many excellent Guest Houses. I wasn’t impressed w my campervan adventure so from the third night we stayed at guesthouses. Best decision ever. Clean. Friendly. Met other like minded travellers. Love Iceland period.
@@gipsyhearthealer probably about a month or a month and a half in advance, I pretty much had all the locations I wanted to visit planned out then looked for places to stay nearby. Thank you for your comment!
Beautiful video! I’m heading there in October and love watching people’s itinerary. Can I ask, you said not to get a hybrid, is there a reason why? Also, what kind of drone did you use it seems to have handled the weather pretty well, I know it can get super windy.
@@sirimity Thank you so much! You're going to have a blast! The reason for not renting a hybrid is because the hybrids are not allowed on F-roads due to possible river crossings, and we took some F-roads. The drone is a DJI Mini 3 pro, it did well in wind and it was flown in some moderate rainy conditions. Handled both really well.
@@duckboxing awesome that’s the drone I was looking into, but I might not take it for this trip. I’m already running low on space since I’m planning to have more winter gear. Might be better suited for a summer Iceland trip. I rented a Rav 4 through northbound too, that’s a hybrid, but it said it’s allowed on F roads 🤔 That’s the only reason I got it. Hopefully that’s true, I’ll have to ask them when I pick up the car.
@@GuangzhouBen depending on what options you choose for food/accommodations I think the lowest you're looking at is $3000 USD and the max is around $5000 USD
17:51 are my favourite sheeps throughout the entire video
Brilliant shots!!
Thank you! These are my favorite sheep as well, don't tell the other sheep

Why does Bieber have to ruin everything? Dang Canadians.

We used a hybrid - no issues. Why say no hybrids? This is bad advice
Rental companies may be different, ours told us if we rented a hybrid they wouldn't allow us to take it on any F-roads. We wanted to take F-roads
No thank you
