Do you know this series at all? Hoshina didn't know during the fight that Kaiju no. 8 was Kafka, so why are you antagonizing him... Literally Mina herself said that "No matter what type of Kaiju it is, we will eliminate them all", and Hoshina's thought was "It's our job after all." This was literally already in the anime. This antagonization is baseless and I sincerely advise you to watch/read this series with understanding. 😒

Sorry, but I must add that Hoshina at that time did not yet know that there were two humanoid Kaiju there and assumed that Kaiju no.8 was responsible for the attack on Iharu and Reno.
He received the report about Kaiju no.9 after the fight with Kaiju no.8 🤷
I'm not far into the manga yet, but these reactions are clearly non-canon and are honestly a huge insult to Vice Captain Hoshina Soushiro's good name, especially looking at the latest episodes 👍
