Lanzarote, an incredible and certainly unforgettable place! Nature not "usual" and, therefore, surprising! Very informative video, excellent! I loved it ‼️
Don’t mention it!
Thanks tony been going to Lanzarote since 1993 amazing island love it so much going back in February
How lucky! Lanzarote is such a special place, isn't it?

Great to hear that!
We visited nearly all those places 20 years ago over several visits. Highly recommended and the very professional video brought back happy memories. Gracias. My pesonal favourite is "Mirador Del Rio". The surprise in the verde caves is great as well.
Thank you! Lanzarote is a passion of ours, great to hear it brought back happy memories to you!

Was the 10years ago and it reminded me of being on Mars, beautiful island 🏝
Yes, it's out of this world.
Awesome video, thanks for the info and sharing.
Thank you, Gerrit, Lanzarote is an awesome destination!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal I know was there last year, and in 2018 and 2019 also.
@@Gerrit-Poort another big Lanzarote fan, we presume.
Hola Tony ! 😃
The Road-trip to Lanzarote was really awesome. 👍 👍 👍 So much scenic beauty for your eyes to feast on and lots of exciting sites to explore. 👌
The white structures really blended well with the island’s natural terrain. Cesar Manrique contributed so much artistry to the success of the island’s tourism… coupled of course with the natural wonders of the volcanic island. 👌
Thanks Tony for another wonderful road-trip. 👍 😃 It’s sure was enjoyable!!!
Hello Jasper, Lanzarote is such an outstanding destination we can never be enthusiastic enough! But hold on to your seat, as well as this video with the top attractions, there is going to be a full road trip in Lanzarote, coming in the following months. All the best!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal I’ll definitely watch out for that !!! 👍
Thanks Tony for sharing such wonderful videos!!! 👍 😃
Going through all of your videos on Lanzarote now and the island reminds me a lot of the Azores. (The wind, the food, the geology. Just less green as the Azores get a ton more rain.) Thanks for the videos. We are looking forward to applying them to a trip in the next year.
We've only been to São Miguel in the Açores and, to be honest, the only thing we feel Lanzarote and São Miguel have in common is the volcanoes. The lush vegetation, water and rain you'll find in São Miguel is nowhere to be seen in Lanzarote. Both islands are wonderful, but Lanzarote is far more extreme, desert-like. Hope you get to visit Lanzarote next year!
Very interesting and informative video. Thank you!!
Great to hear that, Carmen!
This is so nice. I will visit Lanzarote one day.
It's is an incredible place!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal I think so too 👍
Excellent video !
Thanks, Nicolae!
Superb trip around the Island of Lanzarote ( Thank you Tony. ) I have not been yet. But yes But I am going to Puerto Del Carmen in Mid February for 2 weeks. Cheers👍
Two weeks in Lanzarote! Lucky you! Have a smashing time!
Thank you. Very much looking forward to the Trip.
Lanzarote is so beautiful. I remember each and every time I vacationed there. However, the first time in the early 70's when we visited Cuevos de Los Verdes, our guide told us they were a safe haven for jews hiding from authorities. I loved that they have created more exhibits from Enrique. He was very much against Lanzarote becoming a second Mallorca. I have books from and about him. Oh, and the beach in Papagayo was black as I remember. Beautiful, just beautiful. The island and the people.
Thanks, Marion, glad to meet another person passionate about Lanzarote. The black sand beach is at el Golfo Verde, where you can no longer ago for preservation reasons.
So after just coming back from Lanzarote I must say I think there are two places missing on this list: La Graciosa Island, which technically isn't on Lanzarote, but in my opinion is a must see when you visit Lanzarote. Great chill out place and beautiful beaches. And the view of Lanzarote from different perspective. Absolutely lovely place, and very bumpy cruise :D
And the second place is Caldera Blanca. Sure it's a hike, so it's not for everybody, but it isn't hard or long. First you walk through the lava fields for about 20min, flat walk but good shoes would be a nice thing, cause it very rocky. Then it's a little hike up, but if you go clockwise it's really easy, and the view is absolutely amazing. You don't even have to go all the way to the peak of the caldera, just getting to the rim's edge is great experience.
Also there's a lot of great viewpoints is somebody is into sunsets like me. You don't have to go (and pay) to visit Mirador del Rio, you have great view literally just outside of it. And when I was there I was closed anyway.
We explain the reason for the absence of La Graciosa in the video. Exactly the same goes for Caldera Blanca, we wish we had had enough time to do the hike, but we didn't.
Mirador del Río is about the mind-blowing artistic intervention.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Sure, I didn't want to criticize or something, just giving my opinion. For me Caldera Blanca was better than visit to Timanfaya Park and the visitor centre together. And it is free.
Mirador del Rio was close when I got there, but I just thought it is worth mentioning that there are a lot of other viewpoints, free of charge and less touched by human intervention. Maybe not artistic, but more authentic. A lot of places on the list are kinda tourist orientated. I always preferred more of a wild nature.
Again, great video, along with the others helped me a lot to prepare for my holiday :D
@@fiucik1 no problem, the two places you pointed out are truly worth seeing. We just didn't have enough time for them.
Lanzarote is a tourist destination with a twist. Tourist attractions were designed in a way they attempt to preserve the fragile environment of the island. Many people in the island strongly feel that those places untouched by human intervention should remain that way. There is a huge debate right now about the impact the return of tourism, in figures larger than ever, is having on protected spaces on the island.
Glad you had a great time in Lanzarote!
HELLO!!! Great video. I am visiting the island in September. Any suggestions for a non driver what the best solution might be? Are there Taxis to hire for the day? tours seem to not give you enough time for photography. Pleade advise. THANK YOU. George
Hi George, we wouldn't know how to reply to your question. Lanzarote, in our opinion, is a destination made to be enjoyed on your own. I imagine you could hire a taxi for the day, but the cost is probably hefty.
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal thank you so much for your kind reply/
