▶️|What is The Long Drive?|
The long drive is a "Random generated open world semi-post apocalyptic survival car driving game."It is really well made and fun.
📌Some clips needed to retake, to get the best experience, if you find any typos, let me know!
📌The update is new, so if you find something that i missed, let me know in the comments!
I mean hey, we already have the plymouth, why not a rare Countach too?
Technically irl the Plymouth is rarer if it’s a fury (by how many is left)
I was hoping for some pre-1957 single headlights american cars.
Because it doesnt fit With the rest of the cars

I feel like it would be difficult, if not impossible to implement, but I would like to see windy roads around mountains.
... it would also be pretty funny to just drive off a cliff in the middle of the night because there was nothing but flat grass for miles beforehand.
I love all these new things! I wish they could add paintable rims (yes I know there is a mod for that)
Hyped! Some people don't like crossroads, they say it will be too hard to ride to the end of the game, but I am going to ride all of them roads!!
Apparently the main road is supposed to be marked in the near future. Meaning that we'll know which road to follow to get to the end

Will this load with preexisting saves?
sadly not. The future generation will not be compatible with old saves
3:16 im pretty sure i read somewhere that this is just due to how the coordinate system works, in normal gen when you go a certain distance it makes a new chunk or something, but because test is one chunk you just go to the other side. the main map has a border much bigger than the length of the road, looking into the game files

I don't have a PC yet, this just gives me more reason to keep saving up
So depends on what you want to play, but i have an old optiplex with a cheap amd rx560 i found on marketplace, the whole PC cost me a whopping 140$ and it can run tld at maximum settings at nearly 60fps, it can also run forza horizon 4 wich is the most demanding game i own besides beamng with the vulkan renderer. The only thing you would need to upgrade from the original optiplex is the gpu and ram, and cpu if you want a small boost in speed. Overall a very good budget build and probably the best dollar per fps PC you can build. It just takes a little know how and skill
I really really don't like the intersections. Makes it feel like you're given the ability to go back the game doesn't intend you to drive in, and makes progress feel super vapid rather than a constant.
im guessing that they wont actually be used in the way they are now but instead like how the village map is laid out, or there will just be random intersections along the road i dunno
finally i can do 90° curves without spinning and going offroad lika a fucking arabic driver
Unfortunaly Village map isnt infinite which is sad ash considering It would make a Nice map to have a trip

Since there are some major changes "under the hood", this update will be available in beta for now.
You will find it in the "beta - Upcoming version test" branch.
(Right click on TLD, properties, betas, beta - Upcoming version test)
