No audio on that final result screen. Nice game.

Errgh. I don't know why OBS changes the settings randomly on its own sometimes. Thanks for the heads up, I will check my ranked game recent recordings before posting.

Sometimes... its also about some good dice rolls. 1 Japanese Tank could have wreaked havoc for the Soviet Union.. or at least annoyed them.

I don't think that is really a bug anymore since it won't be fixed.

Why would Japan not always buy an industrial complex in Manchuria?

Had the game gone on, I think he would have, but he was all in on India J3 with the 3 bomber buy

@@cbrownpt, correct me if I am wrong, but I can't imagine a scenario in Japan's first turn where building a complex in round one would not be preferable to almost any other purchase option. I would certainly rather have a complex than 2 extra transports. New units start that much closer to Russia, and unlike transports, a complex cannot be destroyed.

@@leonardyoung6821 If focus is on Russia, more experienced players usually max out Japan output first and only then buy IC in Manchu and then in Kwangtung. The reason for this being to keep UK in check by shooking troops in Yunnan. So it is a more versatile use of IPs for turn 1.
Personally, when I attack India I prefer buying an IC in East Indies, because that allows a follow up turn with 2 tanks 2 infs and remaining air. However in this game it was clearly not possbile due to UK ships in the area.

@@kissofpaint, I am not experienced at all in tournament play, but I have played a lot over the decades. So maybe my opinion would change if I went up against better players. That said, I still don't see a downside to buying an IC first turn. I also usually buy a transport at the same time. That way I can push the greatest number of units into mainland Asia in turns 2, 3, and 4. (Extra air units seem more of luxury to me for Japan. Not likely will Japan need to buy more unless the US player attempts a Kill Japan First strategy.)
India is the #1 goal, but it's not the only objective for Japan. It needs to take most of Asia very quickly to get competitive with USA and help Germany by taking IPC's from UK and USSR. Ideally, Japan is ready to threaten Moscow by around round 4 or so. That seems like the easiest path to victory to me.

@@leonardyoung6821 Many experienced players avoid India and move directly to Russia for a timed 2 step attack in round 6+ depending on how things go. If you go IC first you will miss a lot of units that could have come from Japan. Especially if the opponent killed the tranport in SZ61. Now you say you buy a transport. This means you will miss 4 units that could be on Yunnan on turn 3 and buy only 3 units in Manchu.
Also Yunnan has 2 advantages over Manchu. It is close to India, so allows to trade in Burma each turn, thus preventing UK to get to French Indochina. And also it is 3 turns away from both Russia and Caucasus. So even if Germany will be doing bad, with a big enough stack you will still force Russia to abandon Caucasus and move everything to Moscow.

Why would you use a known bug? In a tournament??? That is so low! I met a guy in ranked that used this bug on me and it was very very frustrating. And now by making this public you only encourage more people to do this crap.

I directly asked my opponent if he would attack or if he protested me doing it and I also messaged the toury organizers and asked if they were OK as long as my opponent was okay with it.
He agreed it would not be wise to make the attack, and there fore had no problem with the move

To clarify, I showed him my planned ncm before completing the phase and got his ok before completing and was ready to place the sub with cruiser if he did not agree

If he didn't want to attack. than using the bug was not necessary.
The HUGE advantage this bug brings to the table is that a tough UK fleet can be formed in India in round 2. and that will allow in a KJF scenario a 2 step attack on Jap fleet by round 5. It is game over from start at this level of play. So the answer to this is to trade Jap southern fleet to UK, killing the CV, transport and Cruiser plus whatever fighters will be used to counter the Jap CV in R2. As a bonus killing UK transport means units from Africa cannot get to defend India in round 3.
This is would be a better Jap outcome than most resoults of a UK attack on SZ37 which is the usual opening in KJF. But it CANNOT be done due to the bug thus making this UK opening much better.
For the record I do not understand why your opponent quited the game after failed india, he still had room to recover. as you comited resources to both sides of the map. I wonder how many fighters those 2 AAs got. Most likely this made the difference in the attack.

I apologize, I am amateurish with UA-cam and didnt see this comment until now because it was "held for review". So, sorry for the late "approval" and response.
"If he didnt want to attack. Then using the bug was not necessary" -> I wasnt using the bug to be a bug--ie prevent him from attacking. I was using it to put more pressure on sz 61 which I cant do from sz30 which is where I would have put the sub if he HAD wanted to attack sz33. I want my sub in a point to pressure sz61 and be in range of sz35 for a uk2 drop there.
I have to disagree with your approach to this set up Japan1. I think attacking sz33 (if the bug didnt stop it) would be a mistake anyways. I will go on record that my feeling for a best J1 against my set up is to attack the cruiser with 2 fighters and load sz61 - keeping enough there to deadzone a UK2 india drop. If they still drop, THEN hit the UK fleet with a Naval straffe, drop all the land units in Burma and prepare to take india J3.
