It sits enthroned - at 2,872 metres of elevation - above the town of the same name, Ischgl, in the Paznaun. Together with the Swiss town Samnaun, in the Canton of Grisons, it forms the Silvretta Arena. This makes it the third-biggest ski resort in Tyrol in Austria.

Nice video's and great overview. Personnaly I love from blue slopes the combi 22-23-2 the most, with special hurray for the blue 22 starting Palinkopf.

Hi Ivo, as always perfect job! been in Ischgl first week of january-very bad weather, could not ski for 4 days, but still perfect ski resort with plenty nice red and black slopes which I enjoyed very much.. greetings sir!

Thanks! Yes, the same for Red and Black pistes is coming, stay tuned. I'm planning to do that for other resorts too, but this is efforts/reward question. If this series get views and likes, I'll do that, if not, it's not worth the effort.

Nice top 5. Some of them looks have some little bit steep parts. I hope not to steep for me as second season skiër.
I have seen that some reds aren't steep (for example the one to Sammaun) and slope 15.

Well, from what I've read due to marketing to attract a certain skier crowd one resorts blue run, is another resorts red, and vice versa.

Yea, but you rarely have even terrain, there are flat parts and steeper parts. You deal with what you have. How would you mark the piste with 2km of flat part and 100m of moderate steep. Yes - Green! Just because it's located in special Beginner area. I've seen that. Because there are other considerations, like if there are only two ways back home and both are quite steep, you mark the easier one as blue so baginners will use it instead of other to get back home.

Is there a good amount of snow in Ischgl? Planning on going there the second week of april. Thanks

Sure, was there last year week of April 15th, super conditions with fresh snow. 90% slopes is above 2.000müm, so no worries. Only the Talabfarth (Red 1 and 1A) are slush in the afternoon. Great ski area!
