This post is a celebration of "home batcaves" - places that we can work and train from home. Changing your environment is one of the quickest ways to change your habits, so if you want to build muscle, improve performance, or get stuff done, this is a great place to start.
In this video, I describe my own office and gym, then showcase the home batcaves you guys submitted. Hopefully, this will inspire you to design your own spaces and give you ideas and tips that you can implement.
I really loved doing this kind of community video and I am extremely grateful to all of you who took part. Sorry if I missed your cave, or mispronounced your name!
Oh, and the theme tune was sung by my daughter :-D

Best fitness , development content on the 'Box. In a world where "influencers" have been acting as though they live in their own flawless world under the Sun somewhere away from reality, gimme shelter with videos like this any day. This is how you get influenced and encouraged to make the most and best out of life and what you can attain with work and within flexed reach. After being a driving instructor for 3 years, I decided to make the leap to becoming a certified personal trainer in 2021. My background in martial Arts, dance, and gymnastics have always been my skills of choice; completely influenced by my love of Batman since a young age. Its a pleasure to see that there are real people getting after it just as the Dark Knight would. The Bioneer, Ido Portal, and Knees Over Toes Guy have become some of the biggest influences in my continued fitness journey. Thank you Adam. Never expected to see a computer setup explained on this channel. I have a similar setup, but only one 55" screen. I also have a powerful Laptop + a solid surface pillow to put it on so that I can, alternatively, lie down while working. My back, wich is a complete mess, really needs it.
I can't train anymore, my back just forbids it. I can't even stretch to much extent. Chiropractor could not help me, in a full year. Only things that help in keeping me away from sciatica and overall pain is walking and to never touch anything heavy. Had this problem for many years now. I'm getting old and the fact that I was always about pushing through pain probably didn't help the matter. Needless to say I've disassembled and put away my home gym. Going to sell it.
Don't mean to sound dramatic but it is game over for me.
However, your channel is still a true inspiration because what I still can keep on building and really need is mental toughness, and imo (and many others obviously) you're one of the best at that subject.
So thank you and keep it up!

My home is my Castle. When I bought my condo, I made design changes inside to allow for my work computer-desk to be next to the balcony doors, plenty of electrical outlets, more cabinets and countertop space for cooking, and a sauna in the bathroom. You don't want to fight anything that could add unnecessary stress. My livingroom became my gym with an ATX 800 rack, dual cable pulleys, and accessories (MonoLifts), plate weights, hex trap bar, straight bar, and dumbbells. My coach come to my place.

I wish you would revisit incidental training in it’s own dedicated video. I know you already have one, but I feel like it’s a type of fitness that’s constantly evolving as well as something that people working out at home would appreciate getting new ideas for. Like the other day, I figured out I could do L-sits, leg tucks, dips, etc. on the walls of the stairwell in my backyard despite living in the house for a long time. Sometimes it just takes seeing someone else doing something similar for it to click with you. I’m sure there are a lot more opportunities for incidental training lying around their house than people are aware of.

    • @upgradedragon9430

Agree. One good way to work in training throughout the day is to give yourself a 1-day challenge. A while back a friend and I set out to do 1,000 push-ups and we actually started pretty late in the day. When it was first suggested it sounded like a lot, but if you bang out 200 or so initially and then do 100 every hour or so after that it’s very doable! In between sets you just go about your day as normal.

@@upgradedragon9430 absolutely. I did like 500 bodyweight squats in a day just by pumping out 20-40 squats whenever I noticed myself standing around not doing anything. You’d be surprised how much time we waste doing absolutely nothing once you start actively paying attention to it.

I'm humbled and inspired. I have and use a lot of different equipment some production, some homemade and I have the dojo downstairs too, although I've felt for some time that I'm inefficient. I could probably say "highly inefficient" in how I'm laid out. Thank you everyone for such amazing examples and all the brilliant interpretations.🤜🏻💥🤛🏽

so interesting to see your work spaces as well as those of your subscribers! I only train at home and have built up a pretty nice gym in a 9' x 20' garage w/ a side storage area for treadmill (gf uses that) and bike. plus i have a huge driveway i use for tire flipping, sledgehammer swings, farmer carries, and other fun things.

Loving your content, keep up the great work :)
Great to see so many nice homegyms here, definitely seeing ways to improve mine, even though for now i have to work with limited space as i dont have much more than my room accessable.
But definitely going to steal some ideas from here as soon as the prices for everything normalized again (e.g. the price for my 10 kg plates i bought in march 2020 doubled by now...)
Also I'm glad my submission still made it into the video (14:21)
and for anyone whose interested: got a total of 5 dumbbells with a ton of weights, 2 of the dumbbells i actually got from my dad, he already ahd them for 20+ years, but didnt use them
35, 25 and 15 kg resistance bands (2 of each)
a pull up bar, between 2 pieces of wall (which kinda cracked already)
and a jumping rope and 2 grip trainers
Otherwise Im getting creative when it comes to training... for dips i use my chair and my desk (with books on there, to even out the height difference), i got a backpack with weights in it (so far it didnt break with up to 25kg xD). Sometimes i also use my balcony railing to attach resistance bands to, or todo dips. Soon might try to jump out, and then climb back inside as a way to train to get over walls
For my work/gaming station, which has the specs it has mainly for my hobby as android developer (LineageOS for the LG V30, V40 and V50), it consists of a Ryzen 3900X, a RX6800XT (both watercooled), with 64GB RAM, and a total of nearly 8 TB of storage. Monitors are a AOC 25" 1440p on the left, and a MSI 3440x1440 100Hz screen as main monitor, and a cheap 4K TV on top, which i can swivel so i can watch TV/Netflix or game from bed.

I have pullup bar + rings + hanging rope in the doorway between living room and dining room. Garden has rusty barbells plus homemade Bulgarian training bag. Garden gate has climbing fingerboard above it. Garage has punchbag and exercise bike + climbing wall. Front room has paralletes...Gyms, who needs 'em? ;-)

I'm taking ideas from this! I bought a pullup bar previously, and now I'm stealing the idea of the punching bag and the rope climbing contraption attached to the pullup bar next!

Batcaves - awesome. I am lucky to have a 90m square shed separate to the house. Half of it has become a dojo, the other half is supposed to be the workshop, but a chin up bar had materialised on the wall there - go figure!

    story using pull up bars
i fell off one while doing explosive ones on a door mounted - ripper the literal door structure apart and i fell. It was the worst injury i ever had. I broke my tail bone and ruptured my hip chassis. The ligaments that made up my hips got pulled even
I spent an entire month bed ridden and wondering if i could ever walk again.
Train safe everyone, don't be like me
