@@MasterChief968 如果内战是国民党获胜，不会有后来大跃进和文革这种过度强硬的共产党政策给平民造成的伤痛，中国的市场经济可能会比共产中国来得更早更繁荣。但这种事情不好说，因为一是国民党历史中也存在一定的压制现象，二是国民党政权下的中国在冷战中会成为北约的盟友，但和苏联有边界可能导致大面积战争，规模远超韩国越南那种普通代理人战争，这样的话中国平民还是会大面积死伤。
@@Clause-lf6su Yes what you have said is true but other conflicts I think could have been prevented like the Korean war which would have finished very quickly without China's involvement backing north korea Kuomintang has indeed suppressed people but after looking at sun yat sens 3stages of principles for china this was kind of needed as Chiang Kai Shek had to destroy the warlords of china and unite china as a whole. If he head succeeded in the war as well, China probably would have evolved into a country like Singapore, a blend of traditional and modern values. The Nationalists win the Chinese Civil War, and somehow North Korea WINS the Korean war this timeline instead being completely demolished? What? How does that make any sense?
As is noted in the video, in this timeline the USSR vetos the UN from intervening in the war. In our timeline, the USSR boycott the UN for a while since ROC Taiwan was then still recognized as China instead of the PRC. In this alternative timeline, there is no seperate ROC Taiwan, so the USSR does not boycott the vote, and thus the US-led UN coalition never intervenes in Korea. Without the UN, North Korea would have defeated South Korea pretty easily.

There would be censorship and oppression in nationalist victory China. At the beginning. The long term goal of economic and military stability would lead to less censorship and traditional style oppression. But it wouldn’t be liberal democratic. But it would be stable. More so than our China.

Even with famine and harsh policies the PRC could not quickly stop population growth. ROC would not have suffered famine nor do I think they would have taken any policy measures to decrease the birth rate, because the birth rate is an essential part of Chinese culture and that ROC would have respected (there would not have been the cultural revolution for example). In that case, a rough realistic measure is that by 2022 the Republic of China would have had a population of 2 billion or more. In fact in this hypothetical case it would even have been possible to incentivize the birth rate and we would be talking about 2.5 billion or more.

The only thing that Russia exploited in 1917-1918 was the fact that Ukrainian political elites were uninified. If they were unified, Ukraine would have definitely survived and Russia wouldn't be able to capture Ukraine.

This is overwhelmingly inaccurate, there is no way ROC would become “the largest economy in the world” Republic of China would become the second India, where there’s rarely any growth or any western companies/factories moving to China.
The only reason Many US company move to China for manufacturing was due to its country policy, living in a democracy society has lots of awful laws for companies such as strict copyrights laws, China is not too strict
Even if they’re becoming largest, US would immediately stop ROC from becoming superpower like what they done to Japan in Lost Decades. The only reason Taiwan reform quickly than PRC is due to Cold War, if there is no Soviet influence in Asia, the US would not invest money to Japan, Korea, nor China.
ROC Claim Tibet, it makes no sense that ROC has the guts to invade Mongolia which was former Soviet alliance state, and not invade Tibet, a weak state with weak economy.

The Soviet Union at the time was ruled by a certain Joseph Stalin, who strongly supported fellow Communists like Mao Tse Tung. Unlike Khrushchev or Brezhnev, Stalin was notoriously rigid in his ideology and had a very POOR opinion of Nehruvian "bourgeois fakery".
If Nehru had openly defied Mao on Tibet, this would have also been seen as a direct insult to Stalin - who would just double down in his support for China (leading to a crushing defeat for India) and probably terminate any future chance of a Soviet-Indian alliance.

As a Chinese, if KMT (ROC) won in 1949, I would definitely confirm that there would have no subsequent Korea war and Vietnam war, and Soviet Union will collapse 20 years before 1989, Japan will not be the most developed country in east Asia, far less middle east issue, far less terrorist issue, no Afghanistan war for both Soviet Union and USA, Mongolia will be part of ROC, etc.
