    Really is impressive how perceptive infants can be. Whenever she looked at the camera for an extended period, lil baby looked at the camera as well. 😊

      I have no idea if you can do this with your baby. You may need to avoid hip Flexion, adduction, and internal rotation according to the severity. Check with a local therapist

      Either is probably OK, but half Abduction seems like it would set the baby up for propping on elbows better

      I also think it would be very important to provide as much sensory information as possible to that extremity with massage and providing a variety of textured input to an arm that is not moving. Weight-bearing through that arm is essential. I also think it is extremely important to provide cause and effect of any movement of that arm, such as by tying a helium balloon to the arm to encourage movement or rattles to the arm to encourage sound effects with movement. These options are best explored with a local therapist.

    Hello mam.... My daughter (3 month old) has microcephaly. Do every child with microcephaly has cerebral palsy?
    I need to know the order of teaching her to achieve milestones.
    Can you please tell the order?
    And how many repetitions per side for rolling over ln this video?

    • @pediatricPTexercises
      @pediatricPTexercises  2 роки тому

      I do not think that microcephaly and cerebral palsy necessarily go hand-in-hand. I have certainly known Many clients with microcephaly who do not have cerebral palsy. In general, I think teaching developmental milestones in the order that they typically develop is the correct order. The number of repetitions I recommend depends on the child.

I know with my child, I can definitely see what she may be hinting to. Amy Sturkey is a profession, and even though that doesn't mean she is absolved from making errors ... but I believe in what she just taught. Maybe Amy should have stated that we need to be extra careful as to not hurt the child, because some people would need to be told that.
