- Patrick Kavanagh's Trail is in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, Ireland. There are brass plaques situated on various buildings throughout the town, quoting different lines from Patrick Kavanagh's Work. Larry Mc Dermott, a local historian gave this guided tour. The video footage is a very brief edited version of the actual tour.
The Patrick Kavanagh Centre is in Inniskeen and is a wonderful facility and just minutes from the centre of Carrickmacross. Informed staff will give you loads of information on Patrick Kavanagh's life and works.
