Thanks for the content coach. To explain your confusion. The implication of why it's a big deal that Imayoshi is guarding Kuroko and why the music is so dramatic ties back into the first Touou vs Seirin game. If you recall, as Kagami was taken out due to his foot injury the coach and Satsuki (the pink haired girl) said that their strategy against Kuroko is no longer necessary. In other words, without spoiling anything, the implication is that they've figured out how to deal with his misdirection and Imayoshi is the answer to that somehow. More will be revealed next episode, but that's the reason it's made out to be a big deal.
Momoi apologises because as much as she says she's in love with Kuroko and knows he's trying to help her bring Aomine back from his current "bad" mentality, she's still a competitor and will do what it takes to help her team win.
Small detail you might have missed coach. You asked "why Aomine's finger was red?". When Kagami tried to imitate Aomine's formless shot Aomine got a finger on it (19:40). That's why it missed.
The interaction between Kagami and Aomine at ~8:30 is a nice touch. It shows that Kagami is truly focused on scoring instead of just beating Aomine in a 1v1. He was confident but still had the awareness to find and then go for a route with a teammate that he felt had a higher chance of success. One of the more subtle moments that shows the difference between the two aces' mentality - teamplay and 1v1. He wasn't running from the fight at all but battling his own way. Another thing to note is that Aomine is faster on the ground and Kagami is higher in the air. It shows in the way that Kagami often blocks Aomine when the latter goes for a shot. Small fun detail
the problem most ppl tend to forgot is aomine ever since the incident on his middle school.. until now in high school.. he never practice/ very rarely.. putting it bluntly he is very rusty as it will be shown later on.. akashi is indeed like many ppl said stronger.. or the strongest tbh.. but it's also partially become true because aomine has stop practicing seriously unlike akashi so he got overtaken.. and there's never a 1 on 1 match between them to make sure of who is better.. but i'd say 9 out of 10 is akashi.. that's just how broken he is.. but it's just too bad aomine bloom the first but damn the incident hit hard.. if only he keep practicing until now.. but well it will change later on tho (damn it's hard to say anything without spoiling stuff)
Coach, I have a suggestion for which anime you could watch next. I know there are still several episodes left to finish, but I would like to make the suggestion now. The anime is called Ace of Diamond (Or Diamond no Ace, in Japanese). It's a baseball anime. I don't know how interested you are in this sport, but I guarantee that the anime is very good and has something that sets it apart: it goes a lot deeper into the coach's vision. Although Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket focus on this aspect at times, Ace of The Diamond works with it in a more realistic way throughout basically the entire show. I imagine that you, being a coach yourself, would enjoy the anime as a whole.
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 yes it is. Its 41.5. The episodes are just listed continuously from S1 instead of starting over as episode 1 at the start of S2
20:14 the finger is red bc Aomine touched the ball on kagami’s formless shot. So he was thinking would it have gone in if he hadn’t tipped it? Or in other words was kagami on/nearing his level of offense?
Akashi isnt better than aomine aomine is the ace of the generation of miracles he shouldve been the final boss but they didnt make him since he stopped training in high school
So Akashi is better than Aomine, it's the result that counts. Whatever the reason, whether he didn't train or whatever, he's better than Aomine. Spoilers: In any case, Kagami Zone and Aomine Zone battled it out afterwards and they were evenly matched, while the Kagami Zone was clearly dominated by the Akashi Zone. The Emperor Eye + Zone is stronger.

“They need an aura to show that they’re on a different level” Trust me that comes very soon XD
Ohhhhhh can’t wait!
Coach even guessed the colour!

In other words, he blocked Kagami's shot
@@Austin1723 meaning the shot would have gone in if he didn't touch it cause aomine says "you're not ready for that" but kagami can actually do it too
20:05 - it means Aomine touched the ball. Had he not done this, Kagami would’ve scored with a “formless shot”.

great video as always! hope you won’t forget ep 16.5, i think it’s important to watch it in order as it adds more impact to this match finale
21:23 here is the title drop btw.
👍👍
alex is kagami's basketball teacher in the US. the guy who mentioned it was himuro, kagami's childhood friend in the states who trained under alex too
Kagami's more like a team-player rather than a one-on-one but in this time he's a wild beast getting uncaged.. Gojira being unhinged while roaring 😂

don't forget Episode 16.5 !!!
it's very important!
Is that an OVA episode? Will that show up in the next episode on Crunchy roll after ep 16?
Some Japanese are very hard to convert it to English. So sometimes u might feel a bit weird about the translated subtitles

Imayoshi on Kuroko means they would sacrifice their Point guard fully on Kuroko
Coach next few episodes 🔥🔥🔥
I always thought about Kagami as a young Blake Griffin
All will become clear
12:28 nice Kagami impression man.
Haha I can do it even better than that one. Next time
😮
Is this reupload? I feel like i have watched this reaction
No
Kasamatsu is the best point guard
huhu i am really early 😂🎉
Good job!
please watch ao ashi one of the better modern sports anime
I don't like Imayoshi Because Kasamatsu Said he has a dirty Personality and Someone who has a bad personality Doesn't deserve to be the captain

Aomine is ace because he scored a lot of points in GOM. But in 1 on 1 i would argue akashi would stomp him. The eye is too bullshit
