Couple of people surprised that we can surf in Ireland! Would you like a video on surfing in Ireland? I've done it in Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Donegal and more and could include info on surf schools, surf packages etc. I have footage already and could also head to a new spot and get some more when restrictions ease!
Looks like Ireland is longboard country, because of the shorter waves. I'd absolutely love to see some more surfing, especially with higher waves, and even better if you can get some with you riding high surf. I'm from California, thus my interest. We gotta get Alex interested in learning to drive the camera drone!
I would YES love to watch. I tried it on v vacation in Hawai. Back in 74. Old person here . Love your channel. Love that I found you and the TRY channel and people. Only know how to get U Tube .Love you all.
@sswgm - there’s a few Big Waves in Ireland off the west coast. Search UA-cam for Conor McGuire on the big 60ft waves off Mullaghmore, and Ollie O’Flaherty off Doolin. Proper thrilling/terrifying!
Aah... *B&B.* The first time we went to Ireland, I learned 5 immutable things. -- There are old *authentic* castle ruins about every 6 miles. -- There are B&Bs every 2 miles ....or less. -- Where there's not a B&B there is a pottery shop....with brilliantly hand thrown ashtrays. -- Road Bowlers exercise supreme authority over regular vehicle traffic. -- RUSH HOUR is when the Milk Cows are driven up the roads to the milking barns. But most of all, I love it with all my heart and want to take my grandchildren back someday!
The little fairy and hobbit cottages looks like somewhere I’d want to live rather then just visit. Sooo beautiful ! The more I see of Ireland the more I love it.

Great stuff Clare - Alex's surfing commentary gave me a good laugh - where was that beach you went too? Saw your comment about being in hospital- hope all is OK 🙂🙂
I love surfing!!!! I don't do it enough though. I need to get off my arse, I've been googling lately and joining surfing communities and there are places within an hour of Dublin that are good to surf apparently!
@@Clisare would definitely like to see you surf again. (Bring someone who will brave the cold for you tho. "Fan favorite" doesn't seem to put out in the cold) 😉
I love you and your husband! My family and I save up a few episodes of The Try Channel episodes and make a fun time together watching all of you. We’ve been watching for awhile now and enjoy every episode 😊 We found out that we do have some Irish and Scottish in us and both places have been a dream for us!! I don’t think I’ll ever see either because of health issues but I hope someday my children shoot for that goal and succeed!!! For now we will live vicariously through all of your videos and I thank you for taking us along 😊😊❤️
They've just opened 5 such hobbit houses here in my state, at a resort. Much more expensive, with meals/wine served, don't know how it'll go over at a time when so many are out of work. But it's a cool idea, so I wish them well. Nice - you got the honeymoon suite, like a belated anniversary weekend getaway! Westpot was where I got my favorite scarf ever ...it's a bit natty, afterc17 years, but I won't give it up until I get another. I hear she's a shop in Killarney these days. ....
Thank you so very much for showing off Ireland and so much beautiful things to do! I’m Definitely coming to see ALL of the beauty and beautiful people! I’m Irish/Native American (Modoc and Cherokee) and I would love to see where my ancestors came from! Much LOVE and RESPECT ❤️🇮🇪
That was brilliant!!! How nice of you to let Alex stay with you since your name was the only one on the huts! By the way, Alexs impression of you was awesome. Kudos to him. Songtsen.
Wow, for the same accommodations on the coast in California it'd be $260/day (220 euro/day)! And, we'd be lucky to find an opening, even during the pandemic. I'm super jealous , and living vicariously through you two.
You absolutely should come to California and surf, Clare...Malibu, Hermosa, Huntington Beach, Newport, Oceanside...take your pic! Glad you enjoyed!! BTW, lovely air b&b!
Looks like great fun. We planned to visit Ireland from the US around the time the pandemic began, decided to cancel. I am looking so forward to a visit to Ireland in the near future ♥️
What's the beach you surfed at? I could see the profile of Clare Island in the background in one shot, so I'm pretty sure it was Pollranny or Mullraney beach. The surfing video was gorgeous. It was much too windy for a helicopter let alone a wee drone. Thanks for the great travelogues. This, I think, is your forte, Clare. Brilliant work.

I'd be curious to know as well. I looked into buying a good (but relatively cheap) drone, but there are so many fake reviews on Amazon, it's almost preferable to spring for one of the ridiculously expensive ones with a solid reputation.
There was heating, there was a box radiator. I tend to wear hats etc inside anyway as force of habit from our house while we wait for it to heat up 😂 but I took off the hat and scarf once the radiator had heated the room. Outside was still pretty cold, it was Mayo in October!

What what what? 😳. Sorry can’t help myself. I love your videos but please tell me you did not try cooking the pizza ON the peel!
