      I think the best Adrian's solo is the one in Stranger in a strange land.

    One of the best Maiden’s solo ever
    We don’t need 10.000 notes to make a great solo, but the good ones.
    I would like to go to the concert right now!!!!!

      I agree with you so much about the amount of notes to play in a solo!

    Absolutely superb even at 60% this is still so full of feel and melody...time to look out the Killers album again and give it a spin! Brilliant as always Steph

    I like to think I’ve got a pretty good and fussy ear and some of the phrasing is tricky (second lick) but I hear it exactly the same. Perfection Steph. Cheers and up the Irons 🎸🇨🇦

      Thanks. This is the next Dave Murray's solo I will post.

  • @dirface
    @dirface 4 роки тому

    Amazeballs! You're slightly ahead of the beat whilst Adrian is slightly behind which makes the solo flow better as the picked notes won't interfere with the drum hits as much.

      Nice, I'll be patient. A suggestion, could you please add to your list the solos of the song "Strange world"?, I have no idea if both the first and 2nd solos are from Dave Murray. Thanks in advance, up the irons!!

    • @StephLeGratteux
      @StephLeGratteux  7 років тому +2

      I take note about that one too. The intro solo is played by Dennis Stratton, the one in the middle of the song is Dave's.

    Hi there. Thanks so much for this fantastically amazing lesson !
    I’m really having trouble nailing the blues lick at 1:23 using the tab. Any advice welcome !

    • @StephLeGratteux
      @StephLeGratteux  4 роки тому

      Thanks. I don't know what to say as it's a common pentatonic lick. Do you know well the first position of the minor pentatonic scale?

    • @potheadpixi
      @potheadpixi 4 роки тому

      StephLeGratteux I’m fine with pentatonic scales, I think it’s more just the phrasing. More practice needed ! Thanks.

    • @StephLeGratteux
      @StephLeGratteux  4 роки тому +1

      @@potheadpixi I see, probably because of the thirty-second notes which are not so usual, right?

    Hi, thanks for tab and backing tracks,
    I wanted to ask you, do you think in the originsle recording, does Adrian use a wha in the part that goes from 0:33 to 0:38?

    • @StephLeGratteux
      @StephLeGratteux  5 років тому +1

      In the original recording, the tone is a bit different during this part, so yeah he's probably using a wah
